UPDATE: Manager (Guy) went above and beyond to obtain my shoes, repair (PERFECTLY) and deliver in time for my daughters wedding. He stayed in contact with my daughter and I throughly the process and kept his promise. Thank you Guy and his team at The Cobbler for turning my experience around. See you soon .....
REVIEW FOLLOW UP: Still haven't heard from management, even after my initial review. Nothing to say? Crooked and different sized holes... please, where is my LV lock?? Look at this plastic looking fake leather used to repair my LV bag! I wish I never replaced my original LV parts with this horrible company!
I had a great experience at the Cobblers in the magic city location with Tata! Great customer service and the shoes speak for themselves! I purchased these shoes at a thrift store a few years ago and the cobblers gave them the revamp they've been needing! So happy with the finished product!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! I would give it 0 stars if I could. There is NO customer service. No one answers the text message service, phone calls, emails, or messages on Facebook or Instagram. I sent 1 pair of shoes in for repair in August 2022, it's now February 2023, and they're finally being shipped back to me in god only knows what kind of state. I don't care if they look amazing, 6 months to repair 1 pair of shoes with NO communication is NOT acceptable.
Order no. TC 77009 Bag sent it back to me without fix after 7 months, I asked for my $482.50 money back, no one answered me!
My sneakers arrived at the facility on 08/06/2022. Received job complete email and payment instructions on 12/8/2022, but only received before but no after photos. Started hearing about a lot of complaints with this company, so emailed for before and after pictures with no response. Received email on 04/16/2023 describing they could not complete repair due to it being beyond their cobblers skill set. The shoe was sent in for some yellowing only. Waste of time and still don't have my unfinished sneakers. You better run from this business because they're scamming people. Look How they tried to request my payment on an unfinished item. Then months later they were unable to do the job because it's beyond their skill set? Yeah SCAMMERS! Now praying I get my sneakers back.
I sent a Louis Vuitton epi purse for repair in January 2023. Was advised of delays. Receive a message that my item has been repaired so I paid for it and never received my item or tracking number. I now have my bank involved and also will be filing a police report for theft. This is considered wire fraud!!! They aren't responding to any of my messages and it's been 6 months! BEWARE! I should've read the reports on the BBB website first! Their accreditation has been revoked.
I shipped my vintage Louis Vuitton wallet (my great aunt's, irreplaceable), a Louis Vuitton Neverfull from 2018 and the matching wristlet. I received a giant box today containing the Louis Vuitton handbag; last week I received a box containing only the matching wristlet. My Louis Vuitton wallet wasn't in either box. I searched the giant box today to find zero packing material and only the bag in a black sack, and the box had a huge hole at the bottom where it was haphazardly taped together. My four year old could have done a better tape job. Unacceptable. There was zero communication from this company after shipping my items to them over a month ago and multiple attempts to get in touch with them. I got emails two weeks ago saying my items were ready and requesting payment, but i requested photos before issuing payment via email. Several days went by and I got no response. I grew concerned and decided to issue payment so i could at least get my items shipped to me. That was a big mistake. $845 was paid and I now have only two of the three items I sent in. I've tried calling their 1800 number (just disconnects you), using their online chat feature, emailing them, scheduling a visit with an expert to try to find out where my wallet is (seems disabled with my account), and contacting the company via Instagram and Facebook messenger. Crickets. I filed a claim with UPS moments ago, but I have little hope that will get anywhere. I am extremely frustrated as I can't reach a live person at UPS nor at Cobblers. I plan on filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and filing a fraud complaint with my credit card company.
I send in 6 pairs of Christian's Diors Sneakers & 1 Gucci man messager bag Order # tc80640 I have no communication with company . I'm very worried while my sneakers all recently purchased are missing and I have no contact with the company. If you can help my email is nassarj123@aol.com I would love an update to my order . Sent back in October 22 to the company
4/18/2022 Submitted a dispute through my financial institution. Nearly 3 months of chaos, and I'm sending the glitter Louboutin's that The Cobblers damaged to the Leather Spa. Use this company at your own risk!!!!! ----------------------- 4/15/2022 Still no resolution, and response times have deteriorated back to their usual when they had my shoes. I've requested that they process the refund we agreed to and I'll have my shoes repaired elsewhere. What an absolute waste of time trying to follow up and get this fixed. ------------------ 3/28/2022 Alejandro has been communicating on repairing the remaining issues since 3/22, and we may have reached an agreement. While I'm hesitant to send them back, I do feel like they deserve a chance to get it right. ------------- 3/21/2022 I did receive two of my three pairs of shoes back Friday and have reached out about the issues again, with no responses. I expected the heel taps to be wrong, they were. What I didn't expect was the complete mismatch of the glitter used for the repairs. Especially after being told that the dragonfly's would take longer since the custom glitter had to be ordered. ----- I had my first video consult with The Cobblers on 1/28/2022 at 3:00pm and was pleased with the recommendations for the fist 3 pairs of Christian Louboutins I would be sending in for repairs. After some issues with my address being incorrect I was able to ship the shoes and they were received on 2/15. I expected the process to take up to a month, since the glitter for the Dragonfly's had to be special ordered. The agreement was these would be shipped when they were ready, and my other two pairs would take approximately two weeks. This is where the wheels fell off. Communication and customer service is non-existent. I received an email to complete the payment, which I had agreed to do after receiving photos of the repairs. There were no photos included and I reached out to get these, and immediately noted the issue. As discussed during the consult the heel taps were red, and in great shape. These were only to be changed if there were more durable RED heel taps that would be used. Instead, the OEM taps were removed and black heel taps were installed. After many messages about someone would contact me, they've reached out to operations, I've reminded them to call you, there was still not a resolution. And there were also not photos, after repeated requests, of my other two pair of shoes. When photos were sent, there are many remaining issues. The dragonfly's do not appear to have had the glitter repaired Black heel taps on the So Kate 120mm Kraft Loubi. The initial photos of the red/black DegraLoubie's showed no repairs, and after emails about this, a photo was uploaded with black toe taps instead of clear toe taps. I have received no replies about the remaining repair issues with each pair of shoes. I do not fault the cobblers that are performing the work, this is clearly a systemic issue with communication and correctly inputting order information. Even if the shoes arrive back to me in perfect condition, I can't say that I would recommend The Cobblers given the stress, hassle, and lack of customer service throughout the entire process. The shipping shows that they will be delivered tomorrow after insisting that my shoes be returned, and I'll be sure to update this review over the weekend and include photos. This new Fashtech idea of theirs is great, and the website is amazing. But guys, and I mean the management at The Cobblers, you have to do better than this.
Watch Out! These guys have a fancy website but the work they do is very expensive and of very poor quality. Do not be fooled by their website photos. I had an upper leather repair job for a nearly new Air Jordan. I sent photos before sending the shoe and the representative assured me that they keep Air Jordan supplies in stock and that he would use identical color and texture leather to patch the shoe. What I got back is almost funny - if it was not such a scam. As you see, the patch was done with some sore of suede that was dyed unevenly - and much darker than the rest of the shoe. I have tried to resolve the problem but they offer no phone support and the email support stopped talking to me after first acknowledging that the repair did not look right. Here is my email correspondence with them. I got one reply and then they stopped responding. Order #39023 5 messagesEric Singleton ericcsingleton@gmail.com Mon, Jan 17, 2022 at 2:21 PM To: The Cobblers support@thecobblers.com Hello - I just received my order from the Cobblers. The packaging is amazing. Thank you. While the shoe cleaning service was excellent, I am not happy at all with the repair to the upper collar of the right shoe. I am attaching photos for your reference. My primary complaint is the choice of materials. The leather used for the repair is a suede variety while the original shoe uses a smooth polished variety. I certainly understand that no repair will match the original exactly. However, I did expect that the original type of leather and dye would be used in the repair. This was a specific question I asked when meeting with the repairman the first time. Altogether, I see three errors in this repair: patch leather does not match the texture or color of the original. there is no fill material used to pad the repaired part of the collar. The eyelet for the lace was not punched through with a dowel as large as the original holes. A shoelace cannot even go through the eyelet. Please get back to me so that I may get an idea of how we may resolve my concerns. Sincerely, - 3 attachmentsIMG_3044.HEIC 1762KIMG_3040.HEIC 1780KIMG_3038.HEIC 1861KChris Bielo (Support) support@thecobblers.comMon, Jan 17, 2022 at 2:58 PM Reply-To: Support support@thecobblers.com To: Eric Singleton ericcsingleton@gmail.com Your request (142197) has been updated. I apologize about this and am not sure why they did not match the color for you. I am going to be reaching out to my operations department, to see what we can do about this and if there was a reason the shoes were left in that condition. Please allow me some time to hear back from them, but as soon as I hear back I will reach out to you.
I had the privilege of trying this place from a Yelp Elite Experience. We had the option of either their heel tips service or a basic shoe cleaning. I only wear sneakers to work out, I'm almost always in heels or sandals, so for me the hell til service was perfect. I have several heel tips that are worn or completely gone due to walking around in heels all day, many times outdoors, at work. Sidewalks can be the death of heels. Anywho I knew the exact pair I wanted fixed. My suede Nine West heels that I keep underneath my desk at work. I always keep a pair of heels in my office just in case of emergency (heels breaking, I forget to bring heels, etc). They aren't fashionable or high end shoes or anything but they get the job done in a pinch. The heel tips on these shoes both were completely gone due to them getting stuck in cracks on sidewalks. I was hoping they weren't too far gone to be saved. When you walk into the Cobblers, you're immediately hit with an intoxicating scent of fragrance. Inside is clean and beautifully decorated, it looks posh. I provided my name telling them I am here for the Yelp experience. I had to give them my contact information, I dropped off my shoes and off I went. Very quick process. About 3 weeks later I received a text and an email that my order was ready for pick up! When I arrived to pick up my shoes, again the process was quick and easy. The woman helping me was very friendly. She handed me my shoes gift wrapped and in an easy to carry box. Love the presentation and attention to detail. I am so impressed that I inquired into having my Gucci wallet cleaned. The employee gave me the prices and an approximate timeframe it would be ready. I plan on coming back for that service. I couldn't be more impressed with The Cobblers and I highly recommend them. Thank you, Diandra, for this unique experience!

Somewhere on-line I saw information on this place that does shoe repair among other stuff. I went to their website - thecobblers.org - and determined that my long neglected boots could get refreshed by them. Here's before and after photos. They also stretched them for easier fit. I know we're no longer in the season for boot wearing, but I think once life opens up I'll find some occasion to wear them. They do stuff with sneakers, belts, handbags, leather jackets. Give them a try - very professional. read more

I sent the my Nike Yeezy Zen Grey they had them for 3 months so I'm thinking okay my shoes will turn out amazing....No all they did was just fix the bottom and left paint everywhere through out the shoe. They actually sent them back to me worst. And now you can't even speak with someone on the phone they have this BS text option. It's terrible been trying to get in contact with them about my shoes and it's been nothing. Just take my money and bounce. read more

I have brought 8 pairs of of shoes to their Magic City store that were in very bad shape. I cannot believe the magic they created with all of them. They literally made them new again. One pair in particular, a pair of Gucci drivers, that I was going to throw out as they were falling apart. They refinished them, patched them, put in new soles and they are like the day I bought them. I highly recommend The Cobblers. They charge a premium but it is well worth it. read more

I initially contacted the Cobbler February 2022, I spoke with Christine on multiple occasions, last on August 2022. I sent her pictures of my Dior purse, and she assured me, that the Cobbler can clean my purse, with no problems. She also stated if the cleaning couldn't be done, the Cobbler wouldn't attempt to do the work, and my purse would be sent back to me. I also sent her pics of my MCM purse to have the binding replaced. I sent the Cobbler both purses on September 27th. On November 12th, I received my Dior purse back, totally ruined! I immediately contacted the Cobbler via text, email, and phone, and received no response. Then, I contacted them again, on November 14th through Instagram. On November 15th, I called their 1-800's numbers again, and left multiple messages, and called through Instagram twice, no response! Then someone named Tom responded to my messages on Instagram, hours later. Asking for pictures. I sent Tom 13 pictures of my damaged purse. Even the pics of the white paint drops their inept cobbler dripped on my Dior purse. I requested a refund from Tom, for both purses, and requested for my second purse to be returned immediately without the work done! Tom stated a claim option would be available next week on my account. I waited and waited, there was never a claim option available. I received my second purse on November 28, with the binding not completed, and the shoulder strap hidden in the inside pocket, not binded! The exterior color of the leather was stripped in a few places! I immediately sent them multiple pictures, and requested a refund, again. I received no response! I never signed a contract stating if the Cobbler ruins my purses it's at my own risk, nor is there any terms or conditions on their website stating that! This company has scammed and frauded me, and hundreds of their customers! Everyday there's a new complaint! I want my money back!!! Anybody reading this, we need to come together and file a lawsuit against the Cobbler! read more

Hi Alexa, I'm sorry to hear about your poor customer service…

1st, the place is gorgeous and that may make you a little nervous that you're going to get some snobby service. Not the case at all. Very warm, very helpful. I had an old pair of Jimmy Choo wedges that I needed for an outfit on Monday... in Vegas. It was Friday 10 mins before close. The back of the sole needed to be glued and they did it right on the spot. Asked me to have a seat and if I wanted to have a water and fixed glued my soles back on. I will 100% be back. read more

Beware of this company!!! They start with the best customer service, they made me feel like my shoes (christian louboutin) would be in good hands and repaired in a timely fashion. I expressed to them that a needed the shoes to be returned by this coming Monday August 8th and was told to pay an extra $15 for a rush service. Still I was happy with the customer service. I decided to move on so I shipped my shoes on 7/20/22 and by Wednesday 7/27 I received a link saying my shoes were ready and I could pay and my item would be sent back immediately. This is when everything turned, my shoes still haven't been returned and my money was taken from my account. My daughters sweet 16 is Monday and she now has no shoes. Every time I call I get a run around and nothing get resolved. This company should be discredited because they are liars and scammers!!! read more

I sent in my LV Manhattan bag valued at $2000 in May 2022. I got a quote of $800 to replace my buckle, the handles, and the piping. I was originally told that the bag would be ready May 24. May 24 came and went and I didn't check back until June. In June they told me that the bag would be ready June 24. I haven't heard anything from them since. I have sent emails with no reply. I want either in my bag or the insurance claim. When I set my bag they said that everything sent was insured and bonded. I want compensation! read more

Buyer beware. The Cobblers destroyed my Hermes Toile Cabag 32 PM and have yet to return a pair of Stuart Weitzman pumps which I sent in June of 2022. The condition in which my bag was returned (photos of stains, ripped stitching attached) was in worse condition than what I sent. The Cobblers are a scam. I reached out to The Cobbler customer service team and spoke to Janice Anne who wrote (screengrabs attached) she would reach out as soon as she had the shoes in hands with tracking number and told me if I told my bank to cancel a charge back, The Cobblers would refund me - I have received nothing but empty promises and now must escalate to my bank and the Better Business Bureau. Please do not risk your property. @Jim Maguire, I tried to reach you directly Aug. 23rd. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, happy to forward you the emails from your team if helpful. read more

This probably should be 3 stars, but I'm grading on a curve due to COVID-19. I submitted a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes for a new insole, protective outsole, and new heel tips. They did a good job on the insole and outsole, but they did not place new heel tips at all, simply ignoring that part of the order. But the real problems I had with the order are: (1) the amount of time it took to get back my shoes (over a month total); (2) the attempts are "upselling" me, which contributed to the delay in getting the work done; and (3) the lack of heel tips. This was my first time using The Cobblers, and I really wanted it to work out, because I have a number of other shoes that need a protective sole applied, but I don't have much confidence that the work will be done in a timely fashion. And I'm not sure all the work will be done (given the lack of heel tips on this order). read more

UPDATE: I still have not received my shoes. The estimated completion date is now 8/2/22. The company has had my shoes for almost 3 months. This is unacceptable. Horrendous customer service and delay in repairs. I shipped two pairs of Chanel ballet flats to be resoled 4/26. The company confirmed that they received them 5/6 and work was being done on them. I reached out to the company today to get a status update since it has been a month. The customer service agent told me there was a delay due to quality control and delay in repairs department. The new estimated repair date is 7/14. I asked for a follow-up call with someone to discuss the situation. The agent said this would not be available and hung up on me. This is insane. I have used other online cobblers without issues and clear communication. I would not recommend this service company to anyone. read more

I sent in my Louboutin for repair and they were returned to me the same way (see picture below). I have tried to call and keep getting a voicemail. I called once and someone said hold but sent me to voicemail again. I'm about to get on the phone with my credit card company to dispute this transaction, I'm so ANGRY. I'm curious to see what their response will be. The company had so many great reviews, I guess not for me. Time for me to work on getting my money back. read more

Sent my sneakers back on September waited for update's finally got an email of payment needed for repair in October then loss complete communication with this company sneakers finally showed up end of December worse then what i sent it in for which was a sole repair/ re-glue now the soles are falling apart and are NOT wearable started a claim to help resolve the issue conversation where started then went ghost now i am left with a bill that was pointless to pay as i could have destroyed my sneakers myself along with an unease mind from the services and treatment this company has inflicted dont know how they are staying open or running Definitely don't deserve the 1 star!!!! read more

I'm sad to say this but I wouldn't use them. The craftsmen ship is good but the customer service is terrible. I had my purse straps redone and the work looks great. Unfortunately a rivet fell out after the first use and I can't get in touch with anyone despite repeated attempts. It's pretty sad because the work otherwise is well done. read more

Sent them my Louis Vuitton duffle bag , never received it back. Made several phone calls sent certified letters, left DM messages on their social media page, and still No response. So please be aware of this company, I'm seeking legal advice now. My bag was supposed to be back to me 10/24/22 and I still have not received it back, nor any communication on where my bag is.Please use Louis Vuitton repair shop and not these crooks. read more

I went to the shop and spoke to Warren who was able to locate my purse. Unfortunately, it did take many attempts with phone calls and emails for a little over 2 months. They do have a new text messaging system now, so customers can be assisted in a more efficient manner. If you're in the area I would suggest stopping in. Nonetheless, my purse was repaired and looks good as new. (Still missing the lock and key but he reassured me that it will get found and replaced) read more

Avoid this place, it is almost a scam. Their prices are excessive for the materials they use to repair purses and they sloppy job they do. I dropped 3 bags to clean. 1 Gucci bag, they ruined interior. See photo. The worst was a LV speedy. They charged me $615.25 they collected in full, in advance, to have two tabs changed, and the edges replaced plus the guy told me they would wash it inside and out which they didn't. They tried to fool me using a cheap material, look at the bad job, with a pen mark, I complained and all they did was to replace that tab with the pen mark. They left my bag looking like a fake bag. They didn't wash the bag and told me they just adjust the system descriptions to get the amount they needed for a job. I have nothing to do as they made me paid in advance, I feel I was scammed. Read the reviews and avoid this place. They do business as the restory partners, read more

I don't think I've ever dealt with a company that doesn't have some sort of contact with the real life person to be able to figure out the reason why a package is still either on its way or product hasn't been finished for service yet I've been communicating and contacting since December and I haven't had anything replied back to their inbox and email. My shoes are supposed to be done by the end of November and it's already the beginning of January. If this is a scam, it's ridiculous and I will make a police report. read more

No there isn’t. Only through there texting system. It’s all a horrible scam.
Hi there, is there any current path to reach your support team? Looks like maybe your text-based Support channel is broken…
They have purposefully no way for you to reach a human. I've had some luck through Instagram, but nothing elsewhere and even then it's a social media person, not customer support.
