Fantastic service and super easy to work with! I was able to start a project through Yelp to get real time responses/quotes. They determined they needed to see my bag in person (which I preferred) and when I went in they were extremely helpful and solved my strap issue right away. Maybe took 5 minutes to discuss, drop-off my purse, and pay. I picked it up within two days which was great too! I brought my purse in with a long strap that I wanted shortened in order to wear the bag as a shoulder bag without having so much of the leftover strap hanging out. They were not only able to shorten the strap but also added extra holes to change the length if I wanted it even shorter. They also sealed off where they cut the strap so it won't fray. Long story, so there isn't a Dior boutique in colorful Colorado. I contacted customer service online about a mini Lady Dior bag I was gifted by my mother (about 16 years ago) and was informed to go to a boutique to repair the hardware that went missing. With careful planning, I knew the perfect opportunity arose knowing I would visit South Florida again, which has many boutiques! However, when I brought my bag in... the Dior associate stated they cannot repair bags more than 2 years past purchase but recommended buying a new bag or going to a "bag repair shop." The latter was more tempting as I was looking to preserve what's been a sentimental gift that I loved to wear often. FAST FORWARD to the next day -- Thankfully, my husband was kind enough to bring my bag into Cobbler's West. He said John was the one to replace the missing screw. However, the screw ended falling out... and my lovely husband went back to John and repaired it again. And repaired it was! The bag became my daily bag throughout our family's trip to South and Central Florida as well as Walt Disney World. It held strong and well without any worries of the screw coming out or going missing again. 10/10 recommend fixing/replacing missing purse/bag hardware that you desperately can't simply find online (I've tried finding the piece for weeks) and if you're not looking to dish out a ton of money to purchase a brand new bag. I needed my leather MK bag handle sewn back on and didn't want to donate the bag since I love it so much. Also, trying to be more conscious about how much is thrown away these days. I did a quick Yelp search for a few repair shops. There aren't many shoe/leather repair places around anymore so I called the few nearby to get some pricing and decided to go with Cobbler's West. I dropped my purse off on a Monday after work with AJ. He quoted me $15 to repair the handle and re-sew the other handle just in case. Amazing price! He said it would be ready by Thursday. When I came by on Thursday after work to pick-up my bag (assuming they'd be open the same hours during the week day) they were already closed. I later found out that they close 30 minutes early on Tues/Thurs which is sort of odd. I called the next day (Friday) to confirm their hours for Saturday and also confirmed that my bag was ready for pick up. When I showed up Saturday and spoke with John - he said that my bag wasn't ready and that he was waiting for me to come by so he could ask me something about the re-sew on the handles. He said it would only take 45 minutes to an hour to complete the repair but I was kind of irritated that they hadn't called before then to confirm this and that I was previously told my bag was ready to pick up when I called the day before. I'm very happy with how the repair came out but still a bit disappointed that I had to come back so many times, especially to find that my bag wasn't ready almost a week later. I think they need to work on communicating better with their customers. I definitely know the right questions to ask now that I've been through this experience. They otherwise did a great job and I saw a few different people dropping off their shoes to be repaired as well. Will definitely be using them in the future and hope that the communication is much better next time. read more

Recently after moving, I had to find a new shoe repair place in my area. So fortunate to have found this cobbler down the street from work. I came during my break and the cobbler was professional and personable! He offered to take care of my tips for $10 cash versus $12.95 with a credit card. Makes sense when you cut out merchant services from the transaction! I waited for less than 5 minutes as I looked over all of the wonderful merchandise they also sell; including handbags, plantar and heel pads, and other goodies. This cobbler does it all--pretty much!! The place smells terrific too. I could smell the leather through my six surgical masks. I look forward to giving them more business soon! read more

Wow! I was actually so mortified in taking my pair of louboutins to someone who isn't the manufacturer but desperate calls for desperate measures. Best decision ever! I looked on yelp for reviews and I gave this shop a chance. The owner was so nice, he suggested the red soles to cover my scratched up red bottoms which I bought because why not? The bottom of my shoes were basically scraped off at this point. My main problem was my heel, the original tip was so worn down that when I was trying to replace them, the tip got stuck in the metal rod and there was no way in putting a new one. The end product was both my sole and tip fixed like if it were new!! I was so happy and it was SO cheap! I'm from Miami and I know that a shop would charge hundreds of dollars for a cheap hack job. Louboutins are made out of cardboard like material at the heel tip and they put it nicely together as I brought them in peeling at that point. I recommend to anyone and I'll be bringing all my goodies here! read more

I'm a person that will repair something even if it's old, especially if it's a favorite. Based on reviews I thought I'd be delighted, but am not happy at all with the results of my belt that he shortened. His knife work was sloppy and it hacked the beautiful look of my $150 belt, and he took off only 3" when I specified 5. So my belt is still too long. read more

Did a good job on installing sole savers on two of my dress shoes. Fast service . . . I had my shoes back the next day. The work seemed very professional and I was concerned that the sole savers might alter the look of my shoes . . . they didn't! Only thing is the cost seemed a bit pricey. They use a good product : Italian Vibram. In any event, I have another fairly expensive shoe coming next week and I will take them back to this cobbler as I want the job done well and I have confidence that it will. read more

I decided to try Cobblers West as I've used them in the past to fix some of my luggage and they were great. Why throw away or sell your purses when you can restore them? They fixed my YSL zipper and my Louie clutch strap in 3 days it is now in perfect condition. They even wiped them down they practically look brand new. Getting them back was like opening a new gift! The prices were extremely reasonable especially for good service/customer service. I can't speak highly enough of this business. They do fantastic work, have great prices, and give you honest advice instead of trying to upsell you; a true gem in the modern era. I had a pair of western boots resoled, cleaned, and conditioned. They were pretty beat up and I had worn through the original leather sole. I was so impressed with the work, I brought a pair of red wing boots in that I'd also worn the soles out (not all the way through, but they were excessively worn) and they resoled, cleaned, and conditioned those to a point they looked better than new, as they had already had a nice leather patina in addition to the effort these folks took into restoring them. Finally, I brought a leather belt in and these fine gentlemen punched a few new holes in it; they look as if the belt came that way, but now it actually fits. In a time where many people toss clothing and accessories when they're worn out, I urge you to contact this shop. Poor communication. I was told I was going to get a call when my stuff was ready. No one called me. I went in after a week and was asked "what were we supposed to do again" I explained what I wanted. They told me they could do it. But now, I have a designer handbag with mismatched hardware because they didn't explain to me they couldn't fix my hardware but they had to order new stuff and replace it. I just walked out when I saw my bag. Why tell me you can fix it when it looks like a dollar store purse now. Ugh. My shoe shine was fine but then fixing my clutch.... I don't think this guy listens when I drop my stuff off. My zipper wasn't reattached I mean nothing. read more
