This place is amazing. I brought my $450 Rebecca Minkoff bag to them and asked if they could help me get rid of some stains and marks. It's a white bag, so it gets dirty easily, I've uploaded photos. The tall gentlemen that I talked to was very kind and explained everything to me simply. He said it would be $185, which was a lot in my opinion, but oh my god they returned my bag to me and it literally looks better than the day I got it. It took them about two weeks, which was a bit long, but I realized I would rather have someone spend two weeks and do it right, than two days and do it poorly, so I made peace with that fact. I trusted this place to work on my favorite boots because the reviews were good. Unfortunately, nothing farther from the truth. When they told me the price I was convinced it was going to be a good job, or so I thought. I came to pickup the boots a week later and to my surprise they weren't finished. They didn't touch the boots in the entire week, so they asked me to come back in 30 minutes. Even though that's exactly enough time to do a fast an incomplete job. Of course, they did a partial job and cleaned them out to give it a little shine but the work was not complete, soles were not well glued. I was so pissed I didn't say a word and left the place. I couldn't spend a second more there since I needed to get on a plane. I haven't been able to wear the boots after paying their fees upfront and not getting the expected results, it was a complete waste of my time and money. My bad! I thought they were professionals. He repaired these Jordans for me they had there whole soles reglued and he went above and beyond and repainted some spots where there was discoloration. Great service! My husband has a leather bag that belonged to his father and needs to be restored, I found this place on Yelp and headed over there. When I arrived the staff examined the bag and explained in a very kind and professional manner that the bag was irreparable, the leather skin is too dry and cracked and that any conditioning would accelerate the flaking because at this point the surface of the bag is too porous. Since the bag holds some sentimental value for my husband they explained that I could clean it with a cloth and water only and explained some other uses I could give the bag. Even though they could not service it they were kind enough to explain why and what I could do with it at this point. I dropped them off and picked them up a few days later in impeccable condition. Not all shoes are worth saving but when you have a great pair they need occasional touch ups. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Sent my shoes in December for repair, picked them up a month later ,didn't wear them for another five months. The night I wore them for two hours the soul became unattached from the shoe. I left a message on their VM , and was instructed to bring them back in. It took me 3 weeks to get there & when I did :the manager asked me why I didn't inspect the shoe better, upon picking them up in January ? Hmmm... that's your job if I send my shoes in for a repair, I expect they'd be looked over by the people I paid to fix them. After another counter person at his store recommended I get the shoes polished and some scratches taken care of I replied that they had just been there and I hadn't worn them since so any scratches were there before I took them in the first time. I have been taking my shoes here for quite some time and I must say that to this day I have nothing negative to say. The people that work here are polite, professional and do a very very good job. The owner, who i believe i deal with most of the time, is always smiling and very pleasant. Numerous times I have brought shoes in and they recommend ways to keep my shoes in good condition. Things I never would've thought of on my own. Also, they do their best to accomodate a reasonable pick up time if you need your shoes in a hurry. I had gotten my shoes dyed and unfortunately they didn't come out that great. They were blotchy and different colors throughout the shoes. I understood they might not come out perfect, but I wasn't expecting it to be that blotchy. My advice for anyone getting this done there is to take a close look at the shoes OUTSIDE of the store. I have used the services of this cobbler over five times. I used to live in the area and was directed to the place by my ex when I was heart broken that my 6 inch school girl heels had become unglued after I twisted my ankle dancing (another story, LOL). I LOVE my shoes and I ADORE high heels. Unfortunately, I am a KLUTZ. I took in the first pair of shoes and the very nice man in the front, looked at the shoe, complemented me for being able to walk in them and then assured me that my shoes could be saved. He fixed the one side where the leather had broken away from the sole of the shoe. They also reinforced all the other sides. I think all of this was like $20. Since then, I took in other shoes that needed the stiletto heel taps re-done and a pair of boots. Excellent, polite service. I wish I still lived near by, although I think I might make the 45 minute journey to take my beloved shoes to a place where they will receive TLC. :) read more
