Well, we went because of the reviews. You have to pay cash before you get your shoes repaired, which is understandable these days as shoes are disposable. Had two heels repaired and one was acceptable. Had a pair of flats fixed and the glue is visible and the shoe is worse than when dropped off. Just the tip came unglued but now the entire side is unglued. (See pics of good shoe and side of sole that was returned worse than when we dropped off. Had another heel repaired and it has visible glue, the rubber sole was not seemed at all. Super sad as this industry is dying and the trade is a lost skill. If you have a place you should at least do a decent job. Don't recommend at all. read more

Came here on a whim after my only pair of black heels broke while on vacation. Eli saved my vacation! He fixed my heel on the spot, for waaay cheaper than I would pay in NY! I think I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I also needed to buy black shoe polish for another ordeal. Everything came to about $11! My father in law went with me. He had his own issues with the sole of his shoe coming completely off his favorite pair of shoes. Unfortunately his problem couldn't be solved "while we waited". He would've had to come back in 2 days. He tried to give Eli other possible quick solutions, but Eli would not do it unless it was done right! You gotta respect him for that! So my FIL decided to take his broken shoe back and fix it in NY, because he was unable to come back 2 days later. I would definitely come back here if I ever have shoe drama while I'm vacationing. He does an adequate job quickly. If you need new heel taps or something simple, I would recommend Eli. If you have inexpensive shoes that you don't care that much about, Eli is your man. He is a polite man. Having said that here's my take on my experience . Had someone been honest On there yelp reviews I wouldn't of even bothered going here. For those who own high end shoes and care about details I suggest you don't even bother. Those patent leather can easily get scratched. He had them rubbing eachtother . Eli was HALF the price of the D'Leon, he was REALLY nice, and...get this...fixed my shoes in the time it took me to walk a block to grab money from the ATM and walk back...about 7 minutes, all told. I'm surprised that he has such a high rating because that's why I came here in the first place. I took my loafers in just to get the heels replaced. He said it would be multiple days. Fine. I came back to pick up and when I got home, I realized that he had done a shotty job. The heel had been cut away in order to put the new heel on, and he colored my previously sand colored heel dark brown. Now, this wouldn't be a problem if he had painted the entire sole around the shoe dark brown, but it looked very bad. I took them back to have him repaint the rest of the soles, which he did for free, but it took an hour. Now, a week later, the newly replaced heels FELL OFF. I'm so angry and he's not exactly in an easily accessible area. I had to super glue my shoes together for the day. They're ruined forever. Don't go here, waste of money. read more

I really dont like leaving bad reviews but I feel like these great reviews led me to this place and they couldnt be more wrong! I left my one and only pair of Ferragamo heels to be stretched by half a suze and they are completely ruined. He stretched them a whole size bigger and completely morphed the shape they are supposed to have. They ripple on the sides when on my feet. They are ruined, unwearable. Whats worse is Elie couldnt admit how horrible they looked and that he clearly effed up. He also replaced some heels on a pair of sandals and its the worst, most amateur looking job Ive ever seen. Super disappointed!! Save your shoes from this place. read more
