I'd give 'em 10 stars if I could... for THE BUTTCRACKER holiday show. The Demented Divas outperformed my most wild expectations. I laughed so hard I almost wet myself. We got tickets for a friend's 40th birthday and some of these friends were all "meh" and then by the end they were ROLLING in their seats and begging for more. Stephanie our server did a FAB job and the sangiovese we got for the table was great... We'll be making this an annual tradition if it's available. Thank you, Lannie's and the Demented Divas. There late night burlesque show is great I laughed so hard the whole night. Amazing performers and they really go above and beyond to make v.i.p. guests feel special. Great servers very friendly staff I would recommend this to all weather male or female there is something for everyone pure fun I love this place. Came here as an event during my bachelorette party and had so much fun! The burlesque show was super entertaining and the host was pretty hilarious. The drinks were great and the service was excellent. The waitress even taught us how to do her glitter lipstick look :) I would definitely go back for other shows. read more

We went to their Sexy Circus Midnight show for my birthday in January. The show was pretty good but a little lacking from all the hype I've heard. I loved the place though. I felt like I was stepping back in time. My only real complaint was that we weren't offered a final drink before we were served our bill. The truffle popcorn was DELISH. Servivce was friendly, but terribly slow...i.e.. +30 MINUTES FOR OUR FIRST drink. We were there to see, The Motown review....had the worst seats in the house....Motown group was a C+....choreography which real Motown was perfectionism...marginal here. No energy from the group...sing...talk. sing...talk.. 3 or 4 songs as a medley to create some enery wouuld have been nice. Other show might be better..but until this group gets WAY better...skip it. read more

I have been seeing shows at Lannie's since it first opened. I have seen the Under Paris Sky, Big Band Review, and The Movie Songs shows as well as the burlesque show, and they all have been wonderful. Lannie and Pierre are entertaining and funny. Lannie can sing and her bands are always swinging and tight. I know for a fact that she uses Denver's best musicians in her show. In the basement of the clock tower, I always feel transported to another time and place. If a place can be funky and romantic, Lannie's is. The food is delicious, and don't forget to try the world's smallest sundae. read more

We have been twice so far to the late night Burlesque show but the first time was better than the second. The show was still good. The host is what makes the show. There was a really creepy nun part that made me feel uncomfortable and I felt I had to go to church on Sunday!!. We booked super late so we had to sit on the ramp which sucked cause you could only hold your drink or set it on the floor. Overall it was a good show. The Banana girl Rocked it!!! read more

I was traveling for business to give a review of downtown Denver and came across The Clocktower Cabaret. Sounded fun as I was traveling alone...not. I went to the Valentine's Day show on 2/11/17 and had by far the most uncomfortable experience. I show up and the hostess states quite loudly that I'm there alone. FYI if you've ever traveled alone the last thing you want is to be singled out. She could have said "for one" or really nothing at all. The space is exactly what I wanted as strangers sat with each other at small tables; great way to make friends! Except she takes me to a single chair, sectioned off by a rail, on a ramp people use to go up and down to the bathroom. So I'm there sitting by myself in quarantine without even a table to place my things. About 20 minutes later a waitress comes by because she didn't see me and asks if I want anything. I say no because I don't have a table to put anything on...money lost. The woman sitting closest to me asks if I'm there alone and I can tell she feels bad but the show begins and our conversation cuts off. What's better is apparently this was a sold out show so unless maximum seating is an odd number there was someone else there alone or with a group of three I could have joined. Incredibly poor decision on management's part and I was sure not to recommend anyone of our clients to go there. read more

We rented Lannie's for a private birthday party. If you want a venue that needs a minimal amount of decorating, beautiful lighting, has a great sound engineer, an incredibly accommodating staff (they even dressed in costume for us), and is cheaper than any other place in the area, this is your place. I felt they were constantly looking for little things to do to make the evening better for us, they were there whenever I needed them and were all smiles for the guests. I can't wait for an excuse to use them again. Amazing place. read more

Amazing and welcoming place! It truly is perfect for anything ranging from a date to a party! The staff is very friendly, and it definitely has a classic feel--not only because of the architecture and design (and burlesque music), but because they offer complimentary coat holdings upon entry. The menu is relatively cheap with some snacks and plenty of drinks to choose from. The space probably fits around 130 people, but it still manages to keep a very intimate feel, even when fully booked. Whether you are here to see Lannie, Patsy Decline, Burlesque, or some other show, you are sure to enjoy it! Went to the Off the Clock show last night and had a blast. We are 50+ and the audience had every age group from 21 (adult show) up. Funny and titillating! The entire staff from the show girls to the wait staff made sure we had fun. Decent drinks and appetizers that were priced comparably for downtown Denver. Will come back again! read more

What a wonderful surprise tucked in the basement of the clocktower. We went to the sexy circus side show for the late Friday show and had a wonderful time! The magician Shawn Preston was amazing, the host Felix was totally entertaining and the hoola hoop and ring dancing ladies phenomenal! This was a really fun change of pace and a fun thing to share with friends! I would recommend it to anyone and also recommend having a manhattan while you are there for the show! read more

I went to Lannie's show "Under Paris Skies" on a Saturday night and it was great! We called ahead and were able to reserve a table for 11 of us for my friends birthday. The space was small and had a great ambiance. Very much a 1920's-1940's underground club. Even though it was crowded you could still see the show. Lannie was a fabulous performer and even gave our friend some special shutouts her show when we let them know it was her birthday. Lannie also gave her 2 free tickets to her next show!!! The music and band were wonderful. Lannie has a great voice and the band was very talented. The lead guitarist did a song using just two finger to play which was really cool to see. We didnt order any food but the drinks were pretty good. Slightly overpriced for nothing too special though. Our cocktail waitress also wasn't the most friendly. I was surprised to see the crowd was a lot older than I expected. Most were over 30 and in into their late 60's & 70's. Overall I would definitely go back with friends, family, or even a first date! read more

Made reservations for the BURLESQUE show. The ad looks wonderful, the 11:00 show is when the door opens.. but the show doesnt start until 11:30pm . Kind of an odd show, girl dancing in a roof suspended circle, one girl dancing with a hula hoop, a belly dancer, and oddly enough a man dancing on stage with a fake penis in his pants while a woman sang a off key song. It was all very odd and not very Burlesque. I will give credit to the few women (maybe 3 or 4 of them) who truly did a great job with burlesque. Also "Nasty Pierre" saved the show with his humor. Now lets talk about the drinks. Both my boyfriend and I ordered drinks at $10 each. They were terrible, my whiskey sour tasted like it was made of watered down pear juice and bad whiskey, I was able to take about two sips and couldnt stomach the rest. Boyfriend drank his drink simply because he paid $10 for it. For $10 that drink should of tasted like gold! We also ordered the Mediterranean snack dish of olives and bread and two sauces for the bread. One sauce was very good but the Hummus dish was not eatable. I had high expectations for this show since I had been to Lannies Clock tower for a different type of show which was wonderful. I would say "dont bother" but if you do.. make sure you drink before you arrive and have your meal elsewhere. read more

Don't bother going. The show wasn't funny; the 'entertainment' definitely was not; someone seems to think ribald/risque is always comical, but it isn't. The highlight of the show was Cletus McPhee, who really had skills, but the rest of the cast was abysmal. Don't waste your time or money. I noticed many tables not applauding or just looked plain miserable. There were about three tables who seemed to have 'ringers'- people who went out of their way to be as loud as humanly possible to give the illusion of audience involvement. I can see why they handed out noisemakers to everyone in attendance- so fewer people could make more noise since it appeared most were not enjoying the show. read more

This was the most fun night that I have had in Denver yet. Dirty Pierre is hysterical, Professor Phelyx is a one of a kind mentalist, and each performer clearly put a ton of care and energy into their routines. You absolutely have to go here! I came here for my birthday last year and saw Naughty Pierre's Burlesque and Comedy show. My goodness, it was fabulous! The ladies were beautiful and extremely talented, the comedy was definitely funny, the piano player was great, and the setting was very intimate. read more

I paid for VIP seating, but I was sat in general. It wasn't until I realized other perks were being offered to others that I realized the establishments mistake in marking my group as General tickets. They gave us some props (all VIPs get for free), and let us send one person up on stage (again, part of VIP package). Another part of VIP was better seating. I'm short, so I paid for VIP seating so I could see. They informed me they couldn't move us up because the show was about to start and they had already filled the tables. Nothing was offered to comp or even a discount for the next showing. I had trouble viewing the entire show and found myself shifting in my seat just to view. The acts were great, from what I'm told. 2 out of 4 of my group couldn't see well (we're short, I.e. why I spent the extra $12 per person). It would have been great if they would have made it right. We showed up 30 minutes early, and I paid $220 for seats that were only worth $165. Overall, disappointed because it was so hard to view, even though I did everything possible to pay for and arrive early for better seating. It was my first time in Denver, as my group was from out of state. If you go, just make sure they have your tickets marked correctly and it should be a good show. read more

Do Not go to Sexy Circus - L'Estrange Menagerie: A Circus on Friday. We had a group of ten and not one of us thought that this was entertaining at all. Very deceiving. Pros: This place really used to be amazing when Lannie Garret was running it. And the staff and the talent (like the musical acts, the burlesque acts, the comedy/improv acts and the adorable Larry the Piano Guy) under the current ownership work really hard to make a great customer experience. The wait staff are very warm and friendly and the bartenders make delicious food and cocktails. There is a wide variety to choose from. It's a little pricey, but clubs are like that. It's to be expected. The burlesque shows are a truly unique bit of niche entertainment in downtown Denver and are put on by a talented, lovely group of women and men who work very hard to put on a great show. They make their own costumes and they choreograph their own clever, engaging numbers. Cons: Here is the part that brings the review down to a three. (And I'm ashamed to say it's not the first time I've seen this ... I probably should have reviewed this place earlier). Last night my husband and I attended the show. It is a show we regularly enjoy. The host asks the audience to participate and show their appreciation. A group in the front row was celebrating a birthday. A woman in the front row, seated next to them had been chatting with them before the show began. When "Naughty Pierre" (the host) asked what the group was celebrating, the woman seated next to them enthusiastically shouted "birthday!" When Naughty Pierre discovered the woman was not actually with the group he told her to "Shut the *** up!" (????????) She did. But he came back to her and her husband again, later, and said "Now this couple who doesn't know how to stay out of other people's business ..." WTH? Maybe the host was just having an off night, but the punishment did not seem to fit the crime. Especially when the woman, her husband and the birthday party were having a "What's HIS problem?" moment once the show had ended. Me and some of the other audience members really didn't know what to think. And I know the website advertises this character as "irascible", but "irascible" is very hit and miss when it comes to comedy. Don't ask audience members to participate if you don't like the way they do it. Especially when they're not being nearly as rude as you are. Seriously, female customers should be very leery of this person. So, I suppose if you are a couple, party, bachelorette party out for a fun night, even though you are told to join in, better to be safe than sorry and just don't join in, unless you want to get screamed at. Or better yet, attend one of the other amazing shows (like the musical acts and comedy acts) where Naughty Pierre (hopefully) will not be in stage and you can enjoy a really good night out. read more

We went to the Saturday night burlesque show and I was actually surprised how disappointing it was because I'd heard good things. The actual burlesque was okay but not much of the show was about that. They had two guys juggling bowling pins for a good while. Then a bit about Monica Lewinsky which was....weird. Then some stuff about how they are better than a strip club. Then an absolutely TERRIBLE act about sex that was so bad (and I don't mean in a good way) I wanted to get up and leave. And did. It just wasn't even worth my time. They should have paid me to be there. The service was good - so we tipped her nicely but not before I told her the show was just downright lazy and not entertaining at all. I don't know. Maybe it was supposed to feel like it was appealing to the lowest common denominator but I expected sexy and classy and stimulating and that is not at all what this was about. read more
