The entire experience was so refreshing in the midst of stress of whether my reception dress would fit and look halfway decent. Jill and Maria were confident from the start and immediately got to troubleshooting my reception dress. Within minutes, Maria diagnosed the issues and assured me that it would all be fixed. What a RELIEF! Granted, I still had to get into the best shape of my life in the month or so that I had before the wedding, but knowing that I was in Maria and Jill's expert hands meant I didn't have to scramble for a new dress. Both dresses were completed to my satisfaction in a timely fashion. Jill was always responsive to my requests and calls and so kind. Maria is a wonder and I am so thankful for her skilled artistry. The prices were beyond reasonable-in fact, the cost of alterations for my reception dress was less than the botched job the previous seamstress had done. I don't come here much because I wear clothing that usually doesn't require dry cleaning, but when I do I come here. I work in the medical field in radiographic imaging at the hospital, so my scrubs just need to be washed in the washing machine at home. My other clothes, the same. There are some exceptions. I do come here to get my Alpha Industries Flight Jacket dry cleaned. This type of jacket needs dry cleaning. Don't throw it in the washing machine unless you want to destroy it. Occasionally I have to dry clean a suit if I have occasion to wear it. I may bring my mom's wool outfits occasionally as well. When I need some alterations or repair, I come here. If I buy new pants and they are too long I bring it here for hemming. I have a scrubs pants and the pocket stitching broke recently, so I brought it here. I was told it would be done Monday, which is a few days, yet the same day I got a text saying it was done, so I picked it up the next day. How's that for fast service and efficiency? I also had a pocket stitching on my Alpha Industries flight jacket come unstitched and brought it here for repair. This is a two-woman operation. I don't recall their names but one is the owner and she has an employee that does the alterations and repair as well as other things. The owner may also do that stuff too, but I know for sure the employee does that. Both are very nice people and a pleasure to deal with. The workmanship here is excellent as is the dry cleaning. The customer service is excellent too. Prices are great too. I highly recommend Chief Cleaners.

Then, they hooked my now husband up fitting his suit jacket and button down mere DAYS before our wedding (my husband didn't know what was up with getting your suit tailored, but he is since a believer, and agrees that this spot is the best). We moved and came back and I forgot about this spot, took my clothes to my brothers tailor and came out looking like a literal clown. My pants were an awkward length and were parachuting. Well, lo and behold I was once again RESCUED by Ping and Dollar Cleaners. Since we moved back, I have been loyal and have also referred tons of friends and family who have also been absolutely blown away by the skill, speed, and price of their work. No one answered but I drove there anyways since the store hours indicated it was open. Street parking was available and it wasn't that hard to find a spot. Inside the store, there was a changing room available for customers to change in. Afterwards you would step out to have alterations pinned in front of a big mirror. When I shared concerns and what my desired outcome was for the dresses, she was able to quickly make suggestions. She was a seasoned tailor because the end results were impressive. Afterwards she gave me a very reasonable quote so I happily filled out some contact info and left my dresses with her. There was an agreed upon pick up date but I forgot to write it down. But that wasn't an issue, I went in when I remembered and my dresses were ready and waiting. I am happy with the service and alterations. The only note I would leave for new customers is to forget about calling. I tried on different occasions and no one picked up and the answering machine was full. It's better to check shop hours and just show up! Also her door is sometimes locked (for safety) so don't be afraid to knock loudly if the lights are on.

Keep in mind, I've paid $120-$180 in the past for the same services and one of the dresses was very similar to this one. $400 is insane and more than ti paid for the dress!!! I ended up finding a place in DTLA that charged me $80 and they also did a good job. Jenny refused to lower the price and seemed to not care she was losing a loyal customer.

Every other tailor was fully booked and I was getting stressed, crossing my fingers that Unique Cleaners could take this on since they were my ONLY option after all the inquiries. Which means they have no control over how they wash delicate clothing and the items take a lot longer than expected to be ready for pickup. My brand new shirt is embellished with gold monogram flower hardware around the neckline which I specially said please be very careful and gentle with. It came back and guess what???Careless. The hardware has a string that totally fell off and they somehow have punched a small hole on the bottom of the shirt. Like okay my shirt is totally damaged now. If they couldn't have done the job without damaging my shirt, he could've just denied me as a customer. I would've preferred that over a damaged shirt. Come on, get it together. Never again. Def don't recommend this spot unless you don't care abt your clothing.

I've had this leather jacket for almost ten years, but in the past two three years, it's gotten a bit too tight. To be fair, I got it during the era of the shrunken leather jacket, iykyk. I brought it to Puac. They told me that they don't have the fabric for it, and gave me direction to this fabric store downtown. I thought, well, I'm in this for the plot, and went where they told me. This let me know that Puac knows exactly what to look for. The fabric store was great, and when I told them who sent me, they gave me a 15% discount off the leather. When I brought the leather in, there was a week and a half turn around. They measured it out, and gave me an idea of how it would fit. I would say that you do pay for the quality of their work. It cost me about a hundred dollars for the tailoring alone, which I thought was absolutely worth it. The leather was $68. This is a jacket that I will continue to wear for a very very long time. I know that this tailor shop can do generally alterations, but I would trust them with more complex alterations and trickier fabrics to work with.
