I scheduled the Cleaning Authority to clean my vacation home. I have cameras and smart locks in the home giving me the opportunity to know when they arrived and when they left. I also can see when the cleaners were working and when they were not . After 1 hour and 37 minutes the ladies decided they were finished. I could see on the camera that they had not mopped the floor. I called the agency, and they directed the ladies to mop the floors, which they did. There is no quality control with this business, I had to be the quality control. I feel the cleaners just do the minimum to get by I would not recommend this cleaning company. There is always additional work when cleaning a house, for $120 and hour with a two hour minimum they should be working the entire time. Blinds can be cleaned, window sills, there are endless things to do to fill out the two hours. This cleaning service was a complete disappointment. I hired The Cleaning Authority to clean my vacation home, paying $240 for a two-hour minimum at $120 per hour. Communication needs to be much better, we told them we prefer them at nine am and waited until 10:30 and finally called and were told that since we couldn't do between 8 and 9 am that they scheduled us for a start between 11 am and 1:30 pm without communicating to us. Cleaning Authority is the worst cleaning service we've ever experienced. We've tried everything over 6 months to get them to actually perform the services promised, and paid for, with no results. Even basics like countertops aren't wiped, showers are not touched, entire rooms not even stepped into. Bedding completely ignored after we were told to launder everything and they would make the bed (one to be made in the house) and they didn't touch it. All for $160 per visit and they spend less than 2 hours. Doing what? We're not sure. Their personnel are so reckless they even parked their car in our actual yard, as opposed to the street or drive, and destroyed our sprinkling system. The cleaning service was phenomenal but the business people were misleading . Initial clean was supposed to be $90 per hour and they charged me over $600 for the initial stating they had an extra person there . That is true but I was never told that it was going to be any higher than $90 per hour I was specifically lied to . Then when I told them then I was not going to continue they wanted to charge me an additional $150 for canceling continued service . I've been using the Cleaning Authority for the last 2-3 years. Sometimes they clean really well, and sometimes they don't. I was just overseas for 2.5 weeks, and they would not cancel one of the appointments while we were gone (claiming it'd mess up the rotation), upon return, they came to clean yesterday 8/3/2022, and when I told them I had contracted COVID on my flight home the previous day, their cleaner refused to enter our house. They charged me $65 for turning them away. We gladly would have let them clean, but they refused. I called them on the phone about it, and they kind of acted like they were fine to lose me as a customer over the $65 missed appointment fee. This is really bad business! read more

This is a terrible business! Do not waste your money even given them a try. I was paying them to clean my parents' house. My mom is almost 80 and she says she could clean better than they did. We gave them 3 months to prove they could do a better job. However, they continued to disappoint. When I spoke to the manager, she tried to blame my mom for being overly critical of their work. On top of them taking no responsibility for incompetence, they then charged an extra fee to cancel the service. This company is a joke. I wanted every other week cleans. I confirmed the rooms to be cleaned. The first time was a deep clean, the house looked great for $246. Then every other week clean for $162.. they left hairballs and dust. It's a light clean by what appears to be inexperienced kids the company probably isn't paying well. It was uncomfortable to have the manager come back to clean the second time-I don't have time to mess with it all. Yet I'm not paying someone else to barely clean. The third visit was a new team, I'm just not comfortable with new people each time. Not worth complaining about. The detailed cleaning #1 was so disappointing. I sent pictures it was dramatic. They came back out to make corrections and it was still disappointing. I will be canceling and paying the cancellation fee, to get out of this contract. They have all these restrictions due to insurance. They can't hand wipe fan due to step still restriction, their fan brush didn't even fit over my larger fans. They can't hand wipe light fixtures only light dust due to insurance. I had a deep clean scheduled followed by biweekly rotational cleanings. When I arrived home, there was a sheet on the counter top saying they completed the rotational clean. With the uncertainty of knowing if they did the deep clean or just the rotational clean, I went around the house to note things that were not cleaned. I had a list for what should have been done if it was truly the deep clean (based on the list they provided) and a list of items not cleaned if they only did the rotational clean (this was marked as kitchen and bathrooms). My original quote was $100/hr for 2 cleaners for the deep clean. The quote for the rotational clean was $158. I have a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom townhouse with a den (about 1400sq ft). Prior to this service coming to the house, I had done a ton of reorganizing which in result I also did some cleaning. The next day I was charged for both cleanings ($400+ & $158). Calling to obtain clarity on which cleaning I truly received and to make sure I was properly charged, I was told that it was in fact a deep cleaning totally $600+. With two rooms having zero furniture in them, me already cleaning parts of our house prior to their arrival and with the following items not even cleaned, there's no way that it took 2 people 6 hours to clean the house. This was NOT a $600+ clean. It was barely a $158 clean. Items missed: - kitchen cabinets not wiped down - paintings not dusted - windowsills not cleaned - not all accessible floors were cleaned - no spot cleaning on doors/frames - ceiling fans not dusted They did offer to come back out in the evening, however, for $600+ all these things should have been spotless and taken care of the first time around. We cancelled services and only then did they offer a discount of $200 if we continued with our biweekly cleans. I could have cleaned the house in less time by myself. Just really sucks that I've had to clean after a service was supposed to take care of all of it & that we are out $600+. read more

They did a very haphazard cleaning job on my home multiple times, let my cats out, failed to clean toilets, sections of the floor, counter and stove. They were unable to send some one to clean with less than 24 hours notice 3 times and refused to come clean when my identity was stolen and I could not immediately provide them a cc #. I have been using CA for almost a year now and I have been very pleased. Today was a total mishap on their part but the second team that they sent out was AMAZING!!! Winter, Brook, Emy were the perfect trio. They had to redo what their co-workers thought they did and they did not disappoint. They ladies were pleasant, friendly and thorough. We used this company two times. The first time they were over a half hour late. The office said they stopped for lunch. Ok I buy that. Last week time number two a 1:00 appointment my wife started to call about 45 minutes past this time. It wasn't until the crew was over an hour late that we were told of a policy that they have a 2 hour window. Also no explanation or reason to be late. When I called to cancel I was hoping to talk to Scott but the only number on his personal business card was the office. I bet they wouldn't like it if they arrived and we were not home and they call and I say yea our earlier appointment went long we are going to stop for lunch because I decided I have a two hour window to get home. I bet they wouldn't be waiting! Also both times when they left the house smelled like dirty mop water. My wife even asked them to change water more often. No matter if myself or my wife mops and not using the same method and we never had it smell like that. My wife has breathing issues, hence a cleaning service, even after saying the last time they were here they missed cleaning our bedroom on her side of the bed. They still missed it. We might be retired but that doesn't mean we aren't busy or might have plans assuming an on time arrival and 2 hours of cleaning. Oh yeah they were one hour twenty minutes late. When I lived in the Nashville Tennessee area, I used The Cleaning Authority all the time and they were awesome! Last year sometime I called the C A in Phoenix and scheduled an appointment. I was running late that day and arrived late for meeting Scott to preview my house. I called to tell them I would be late, and I called after, as apparently Scott had already left my house. Well, I got no answer, I left a message, and nobody ever called me back. How do you run a business this way? Weird! Title: BAD POLICY AND THEY TOOK MONEY FOR A SERVICE NOT PROVIDED ( STOLE) We started using Cleaning Authority last February. They seem to have things very organized and even have a QA person that randomly shows up on cleaning day to inspect the teams work. Part of the company's philosophy is to send different cleaning teams each time to combat complacency. Sounds alright except with that comes inconsistency. Sometimes I get a good cleaning and sometimes I dont. I have called and complained twice and they did arrange to have someone else come back and fix the problem areas. But I dont like having to white glove the place or be a babysitter to follow them and say "dont forget this". My average opinion of the company went down to a complete disgust and disappointment when I was moving and I called their scheduling person and asked if i could get the new house cleaned before we moved in. They treated me like I was a new client and requires me to pay for the service in advance. I reminded them that i am a regular customer and i would be continuing service at the new house but they still treated me like they had no loyalty or relationship with me. I thought that was odd. But then we ran into problems and the closing of the new house got pushed later one week. When I called the cleaning company I again was treated like i had no value or relationship with the company and they really gave me nothing but hassle when I asked to change the cleaning date. They insisted that their policy is no changes and no refunds of a move-in/out cleaning. I asked them why they keep treating me like this and not like a regular ongoing customer. I got no answer. I mean really!? They are going to lose continued months of me paying for service because they dont want to reschedule or even refund me since the work isnt even going to be done? I mean I told them of the problem almost 2 weeks in advance. They CANT change me on the schedule? ( when i call and ask what time my next service will be, they tell me they dont know the schedule until about 1 week out so I dont believe me changing or canceling could be that big a deal.) Greta value for money detailed first clean staff were friendly and helpful I have signed up for regular 2 weekly cleaning so hopefully the great service will continue. The only negatives were they forgot to vacuum one bedroom and they were an hour late due to difficulties at the previous property which was not a problem for me. The office staff were great and were very apologetic but if you have time restraints this could be a problem. After a year and a half we threw in the cleaning towel. Basically the service is poorly run. The cleaners are never the same people (indicating a very high turnover). Their workers are "hit and miss" some do great work others, just want to get paid for their time. Never know exactly what time the workers will arrive, so you waste your day waiting. Terrible. Not to trust. I had paid for their sloppy service once over the phone with my debit card, because I had forgotten to bring my check book. I never authorized them to keep that card information. After the next cleaning - which had been sloppy for the third or fourth time, I intended to ask for a small reduction of the discussed amount, because they had just left out the cleaning of the entire entrance hallway plus carpeted staircase, leading into our town house, every single time! They had already charged my debit card WITHOUT my authorization! No discount for doing only one fourth of the contracted work! When I spoke to the companies boss, she told me with a very arrogant tone, that her "workers may forget things every now and then, what's the big deal?" I will report this company to the Better Business Bureau for this illegal action. Their cleaning is sloppy, superficial and careless. Oh I was so excited to find a company that would actually clean my house. They seem very professional and organized. I signed up for a deluxe service of some sort where a deep clean was to be done on the kitchen. Well they didn't even wipe the counter. They left without saying a word.
