Summary: This place is absolutely sick. I heard about it from my friend who lived in South Florida for a while. I decided to make Sunday Brunch my girlfriend's birthday present. I kept the surprise as she had never been in Palm Beach and she was absolutely floored. To anyone who says it's too expensive, I have three words: Worth. Every. Penny. The Atmosphere: Very glamorous. This place is like a country club you see in the movies to the n'th power. It was described to me as very much like the Palace at Versailles and my girlfriend made the same comment there. She also now says, "I only eat brunch with harps playing." The Food: I mean, what can I say? It's unlimited food and drinks for 3 hours. They have a sushi chef that will make you any roll you want. King crab legs. Lobster claws. Steak. Caviar. Oysters. Smoked salmon. Crepes. Donut waffles. Chocolate. Fruits. Ice Cream. Mimosas. Bloody Marys. This feast is what I expected to see when I died and went to heaven. Sunday Brunch at the Circle makes heaven a place on earth. The Service: Impeccable. My server asked me the occasion and I told her it was my girlfriend's birthday. She arranged a plate of desserts, lit candle on a raspberry yogurt, with "Happy Birthday" written in dark chocolate. Overall everything was good. We've been to several all you can eat buffets that offer more than your typical buffets. We enjoyed the omelette bar and custom crepes. The seafood selection was good, but the lobster was tough. The egg Benedict was my least favorite. It looked and tasted like a an egg Benedict you'd get at a diner, not a 5 star restaurant. The pastries and desserts were our favorite. It's almost like they spent more time making those than anything else on the buffet. We didn't know the price going in. We normally pay about $50-$80 for a buffet, so we were expecting around $125. When we saw it was $175 each, we were surprised. It was no big deal, but it definitely wasn't a $175 meal. We had a better meal at The Seafood Bar and Buccan, and both meals cost less. The service was very good! They were constantly making sure we had drinks and they would take away our old plates and bring out new silverware. I don't think we ever had to ask for anything. They just did it before we had to ask. It was a great overall experience. I hate the saying "been there, done that," but that saying fits our experience. My dude loves breakfast, particularly fancy breakfasts, so we checked out quite a few opulent places in Palm Beach. It's definitely got that Palm Beach price tag. The food is classic, and not too adventurous. Basic standards that have probably been on the menu for a very long time. They do have some seasonal options like the particular veggies in the omelet, but this is a pretty old school place. It is really grandiose, and you can see the Gilded Age beckoning you like a time warp. We ordered off the menu, but there is a huge buffet available as well for $95 a person. I'd have to eat an awful lot for it to be worth it, but it seemed that most of the people in the dining room were going with that option. The coffee was really good and the waitstaff was excellent and helpful. My french toast was crispy and wonderful. It was coated with toasted almonds and had a satisfying crunch that balanced out the sweetness so it wasn't too cloying. The pineapple garnish was fresh and bright. One great thing about eating on Florida is the abundance of fresh, perfect tropical fruit. This won't be a place I frequent because it's expensive and a little too stuffy for my tastes, but it was a nice breakfast made well. If you're on vacation, this is definitely a nice stop to kick back and pretend the outside world doesn't exist. read more

Appliqued frescos & hand painted medallions showing 18th Century cities on the Continent grace the dome over the opulent Circle dining room. Tall clear windows look onto the Atlantic surf just a few feet from the hotel. Sunday brunch is an event. We enjoyed a harpist with an incredible repertoire, between our multiple trips to the buffet tables. An entire patisserie occupies half the space. The other side vies for your attention with lollipop lamb chops, carving stations with beef and ham, dishes of roasted chicken, and an endless bounty of crab, shrimp and lobster. Pause for a European plate of pate and cheeses. Pace yourself. We have been here a few times but recently went for Easter brunch, which was incredible. There were tons of options such as unlimited mimosas, a bloody mary bar, omlette station, crepe station, seafood, sushi, carving stations, etc. The staff is so friendly and attentive and will answer all questions about food you may have. They are very accomodating of allergies, especially gluten allergies. I had an amazing flourless chocolate cake which was gluten free and I had gluten free bread which was so tasty. A true measure of the 'gilded age' Decided to come here as a special day for my Mom and her friend. Yes it is expensive but the address alone is worth the experience inside. The food... was not up to par of how much it cost for the per person price but be honest... you are paying for the ambiance and the privilege to say you had Brunch at "The Breakers". Valet is complimentary here but be sure to tip well, plenty of spots for taking pictures if you should find that you would like to do so, service was ABOVE AND BEYOND attentive and classy (automatic 20% gratuity will be added to the bill so be aware of this from the beginning) since Food & Beverage is my career my expectations for quality of food is higher than many. The buffet area itself is rather small so maneuvering about can be a challenge if your guest requires ADA access, however our server (Ana) was quick to offer to make a plate for our friend. The presentation was beautiful but I did expect more in the dessert area... again I am in the business so desserts that look like the average ones I serve at my Convention Center doesn't WOW me. Beautiful!! Absolutely stunning! This place is so grand and so luxe, yet wait staff were all so approachable (read: not uptight and robotic). Food was insanely affordable. They serve organic produce and I could taste the difference. I've never had a more delicious blueberry and such fragrant raspberries. You could tell they were fresh. Fresh produce is the key to my heart and I feel great quality ingredients gives the fine taste to a dish. (ahem!) Moving on.. I got a "detox" juice a freshly squeezed green juice with cucumber, spinach, kale etc. I'm not a huge fan of conventional cucumber, it tastes soapy to me. But the juice here had a beautiful mildly sweet taste of cucumber and the smell was so lovely that our server noted "it smelled so good while I was bringing it over to the table, how does it taste?" I've had my fair share of cold pressed organic juices and this by far was the best ever I've had. $12. I also got mango and white chocolate pancakes with orange blossom syrup. I love pancakes, and Mangoes and white chocolate. And I dislike anything too sweet. I was a little skeptical my pancakes would taste overly sweet because every component was in itself sweet. But nope! These guys know what they're doing. The chocolate chips were intact on top but as soon as I cut into them, they melt like warm butter on my pancakes. I've been to several buffets in Las Vegas and this Sunday brunch is on par with - if not better - than the best of those. The service is top notch, of course. I have a nut allergy, and the chefs were kind enough to give me a personal tour of the offerings and point out what I could and could not eat. I really appreciated that. I love a good buffet, but when you have food allergies a buffet can be a risky meal to partake in -- especially with over 30 desserts to choose from! The food options, preparation, and presentation are all first rate. You can have a full breakfast, dinner, and everything in between. From crepes prepared while you wait, to waffles, all of the usual (and some unusual) breakfast items, seafoods galore, prime rib, sushi, etc, etc, etc. It was all wonderful. Once you pass the 23 different luxury cars at the valet, you tend to gather a certain analysis of this posh hotel. As always, a fine hotel has much more than sulky rooms to offer- they have food and drinks too! This fine center of perfectly arranged breakfast items is aimed towards the hotel guests enjoying brunch during the allotted hours. There's so much to see and do on Palm Beach that people seem to limit their stay here sometimes. I find it completely enthralling and decadent to say the least. The detail on the walls here will keep you entertained as you enjoy the buffet offered here. It's not a regular buffet of course- it's the Breakers so you will spend a nice amount but it is meant to be a splurge to say the least. My fat, rich uncle from New Jersey (no not Chris Christie) was visiting and invited me to brunch at the Breakers. I'm sure he would give this place 5 stars because he loved it and ate monstrous volumes of food. The venue is great - old school Florida grand, and the hotel itself is gorgeous. The problem with brunch here is that it is a very expensive buffet, and unless you consume 7 full plates, it's a horrible value, as the food itself is just meh. The desserts in particular were disappointing, as I was expecting perfection at this price point - something more in line with afternoon tea at the Ritz (which is cheaper BTW). Food is just ok (you can get the same quality at Sundy House brunch @ half the price), so you're paying premium for the venue, which frankly isn't worth it. Bad for foodies because the food is nothing special, and bad for buffet lovers because you can get the same quality for much, much cheaper. I don't know who this place appeals to. read more

We've been hearing about the brunch at the Breakers for years now and finally got the chance to give it a try. My son the attorney is now working full time in West Palm and we needed a special place to celebrate his birthday. My wife and I decided this was the perfect opportunity to give the brunch a try. There were four of us in the group and we arrived at 11:30 to this absolutely beautiful Hotel. I though I might have stayed here many years ago but I never had the brunch. Entering this magnificent place you can't help but be struck by the beautiful architecture and decor. It rivals some of the great European historic places like the "Vatican". The ceilings are so amazingly ornate, and the feeling one gets just walking through to the circle brunch is almost worth the $100 plus per person charged for brunch. The food did not disappoint this foodie or anyone in our group of foodie's. To say the least, it's an amazing experience overall. Of course I could say I like my jumbo shrimp a bit firmer (they tasted frozen/defrosted not spot made), or my Maine lobster and King crab claws heated when warm butter is offered and they were served chilled with traditional cocktail sauce as well as the warm butter, but again I say it was an amazing experience you must be willing to pay the big bucks for. Our service (20% automatic gratuity) was very good but not warranting 20% in my opinion. This was after all a buffet and the plate clearing and champagne refills were about all that was needed so 18% might have been more appropriate. I wouldn't complain but we had several moments where all our mimosa glasses were empty and waiting to be refilled. Sure I'm being picky, but at these prices, I believe one earns the right. Our bill with gratuity included was $534.24 for the four of us. As a once in a while celebration for something very special, the Circle Brunch at the Breakers is almost unbeatable. The experience of this amazing decor and blissful, beautiful surroundings, makes the food seem to taste even better. I recommend the experience to those who can afford it. This is a very classy place and you should dress appropriately. Next time I'll bring the Ferrari. It will be right at home here. Oh did I mention the valet Parking is free! Makes it worth it. I'd give the place 4.5 stars if I could, but there is slight room for improvement food wise. I'd say most Yelpers might give this place 5 stars and I understand why, but I'm tough on food. I'll be back because it certainly rates as high as any brunch I've ever experienced. (The Biltmore in Coral Gables is a very close overall brunch experience. The view of the ocean is nice & choices of the dishes are great. Best about this place for me is JAMES, the server; every time we come to "the Circle", we ask for James! My husband and I made reservations at The Circle for our one year wedding anniversary, which also happened to be Mother's Day Sunday. We had the most fabulous time!!! 11am reservations, we were seated right by the window. Not much of an ocean view at all, but the inside is so glamorous there is plenty to look at! The price is $105/pp. after you see the lobster, king crab, caviar, fois gras and plenty of dessert, you'll understand it's worth. The caviar wasn't as good as I tried in some top restaurant in NYC, but that's buffet. It's already been much better than those in Vegas, where you have to wait for thousands of years. I also love the decoration here, which brought you back to the Gilded Age. We went for our anniversary and had the best time. Everything about The Breakers was first class, from the ambiance, to the service, to the food. SO much food. It's definitely pricey, but perfect if you're looking to celebrate an event with brunch. First, the room that brunch is served in is beautiful. It's a huge circular room, so getting a table on the outside provided us with a great view of everything going on. Our waitress was very attentive throughout the meal, constantly refilling our mimosas and coffee, clearing plates, and even taking a few photos of us after brunch. The buffet spread at The Breakers is pretty outrageous. There's literally anything you could want, including traditional omelet station, full seafood bar, sushi, prime rib, pastas...I could keep going. All of the food was fresh and flavorful, I felt like I discovered something every time I went up for more. We were loving the large shrimps, crab legs, and other fresh seafood. Being from the North, we do not take seafood that fresh for granted! They also had an ABSURD amount of desserts, which I wish I had more room for. At The Breakers, they didn't rush us at all, we were able to enjoy our leisurely meal and digest for a little bit afterwards. We (wife and I) had been to this "Circular Room" at the Breakers for a wedding the night before. It is a beautiful room. And so when we heard we could have brunch there the next morning, I said let's go! The room is just stunning, as was the brunch!!! We arrived a bit before our 11:30am reservation and were made to wait outside. I guess room wasn't opened yet. Got seated by a window which was nice, and the fun began! The buffet area is in a separate room next to the Circle Room. If I must compare it to the Biltmore Brunch, which for me is the best around, I would say it's almost there!!! There is about a third of the food here compared to what the Biltmore offers but, some of the offerings were very good. And so, sometimes, it's not about quantity but rather, about quality... which this brunch offered! Their seafood and CAVIAR was best in show. Period! End of story! Go to town. Even though everyone is dressed nicely, everyone is there to gorge. Had some guy roaming around with a harp playing Celine Dion's greatest hits (not that I would know...) We were there for over 2 hrs but time flew by. We were never hurried and as a matter of fact, many of the people we saw on the way in were still in their same seats when we left. Service was outstanding and on top of things. Afterwards, we walked around the property which is historic, gigantic, and a crowded mess of people. The best part about the circle is the building. This is las vegas sized grandness with ornate gilded age decor from the carpet to the ceiling wood work. It is a huge room with more tables than you can count. The size of this operation inspires awe. The food itself is not the most expensive but is almost the best in town. Complete with harp player (his Celine Dion renditions are ballin'). My BF and I ordered the brunch. It's 95 per person so come hungry and thirsty!! Included drinks: mimosas, champagne, OJ, bloody Mary's, coffee, water. There is also a full bar, if you want to get something outside of those options. I got the coffee. It was very fresh. My guy got the Bloody Mary- they even had a Bloody Mary station with things like bacon and spices so you can customize. The food is... Amazing. There are breakfast, lunch, and dessert options. Examples: eggs Benedict, crepe station, omelette station, sausage/bacon, Krispy Kreme waffles (yes, I did and yes, they're amazing), ham, lamb, prime rib, sushi, seafood bar, macaroons, sundae bar, tons of desserts! First of all, if you live in Palm Beach county, Sunday brunch at the iconic Breakers hotel is an absolute must.This place gets two stars alone just for how beautiful the Circle dining room is. We were lucky enough to get a seat by the window with a partial view of the ocean. The dining room was booked full (we had to make resies at least 3 weeks in advance) but we never felt overcrowded. Service was always warm and pleasant and very accomodating. They didnt have any strawberries in the fresh fruit display so our waiter had some sliced for us so we could put in our champagne. The one negative thing we encountered in terms of service was that towards the end- we saw our waiter less and they didnt keep our champagne flowing. Our reservation was for 1:30pm so I dont know if that had anything to do with it. As far as food goes, there was definitely some hits and misses. I felt as though the cheese display lacked variety. The caviar was a bit fishy- but I did like that the accoutrements were plentiful. The seafood was all very fresh and did not disappoint- thye had snow crab legs, lobster tails, lobster claws, and jumbo cocktail shirimp. The carving station was also good although I wish they had a bit more selection- prime rib, lamb chops, and honey glazed ham (one of the best hams Ive ever had). There were also three tables of dessert- although I really only liked the sundae bar and key lime pie. The total damage with gratuity comes out to about $121/pp which is why im only giving this place three and half stars. Although I had an experience that I would say was good- I expected to be absolutely wowed for this price point. I will probably be willing to go back again since my reservation was more towards the end of brunch and maybe that had something to do with some of the negatives I experienced? We love brunches. Thats our favorite thing to do. A nice waitress told us at the Ritz about The Breakers brunch and how amazing it was and she was right. The have a nice seafood selection, meat selection and pasta but the dessert selection was out of this world. So many different desserts to choose from that its overwhelming. The also have crepes. The service was great, our server Micheal was very attentive, he kept refilling our Bellinis without us having to ask. The hotel is beautiful, very sophisticated. Could be the best brunch I've ever head, from the variety of food, to the service, to the quality of ingredients. The buffet option is a winner: eggs to order on one end gives way to fresh pastries in the middle followed by traditional buffet favorites like potatoes, seasonal fruit, and even a raw veggie bar. Waffles, too, are freshly made in front of you, but the pancakes seem to be made in back in bulk (and still taste great). Food is rotated quickly, ensuring it is always fresh, hot, and never greasy. The one thing you won't see is any fish. For some reason, all fish (e.g lox) is a la carte, according to waitstaff. Coffee and juice appear to be included in the standard buffet price, which is on the higher side. A reservation where the buffet is included is probably the way to go for most of the hotel's guests. The hot food was never actually hot and I would think for the amount you are paying they should make things to order like eggs Benedict, French toast, and so on. They had a sushi bar, seafood area, pastas, carved meat, a small salad selection, some breakfast items, and a ton of desserts including a little ice cream station. Paid $100 for two people for a cold and mediocre breakfast buffet. Gratuity was added on the bill for a party of two.. We were not staying at the Hotel and stated that our flight home was canceled due to heavy rain and winds the day before. The staff could have gave us a heads up that the buffet was $40 a person before hand. We were told that there was an omelet station where we could request eggs any way we prefered. There was no such option. We were offered only cold benedicts that had been sitting in a warmer. We asked for extra hollandaise sauce, it was brought out from the kitchen and was also cold (we were hoping the extra sauce would "reheat" the food but was disappointed again). Being from Miami, I have not spent much time in Palm Beach. A friend of mine posted a picture on Facebook of his meal at the brunch, and I knew I had to go. When compared to South Beach brunch pricing, it is competitive, but the Breakers far surpasses them. This is such a throwback to a different time. The circle room is absolutely gorgeous with a view of the ocean. The wait staff is very professional and did not rush us in any way. You really want to take your time and get to visit all of the different stations. Large shrimp, lobster tail, stone crabs, prime rib, lamb chops, and the list goes on. The desserts were excellent. The nova, omelets and crepes were perfect. We went early and everything was very fresh. If you have a special occasion, this is the place for you. Beautiful Restaurant at The Breakers resort focusing on classic breakfast & brunch dishes in an opulent space. My son and I truly enjoyed the whole experience. A little pricy but so worth it. We had the fortune of listening to the beautiful music of a Harp Player. Just an awesome brunch in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend it!!! read more

We just had our 4th Sunday Brunch at the Breakers in 12 years and it does not disappoint. On this occasion we had family in from New York, one of whom was celebrating their 55th birthday. The food and ambiance of Flagler's signature structure gives a few European homes a run for its money. Since it was Christmas season, the Circle was more crowded than we remember, during off season visits, and at $165.00 per person, is still a bit steep. ($125, normally) Nevertheless we arrived just after 11:30 and really did not leave until almost 2:30. The trick we have realized is not to rush the meal, take small portions and savor everything. We will definitely go back, on any special occasion, but will probably give any of the holidays a miss. Regardless it is a five star hotel with five star treats. We highly recommend. read more
