He was having battery issues so I tested it for him and it came back as a bad battery. I told him to take it down to Pep boys since it has its 30month free replacement. He took it down they tested it, they agreed it was a bad battery. They further told him they don't carry that battery anymore and upsold him on a lower end interstate gold battery that's flooded and not AGM for $26. I'm pretty sure free replacement means free replacement. But they upsold him and gave him a crappier battery. He then brought it to me so I can reinstall in his vehicle and the car wouldn't start. The battery has a date code of 1/26. I had to hook it up to a charger for sometime to get it brought back up. The initial voltage said 11.9v and was at 30% capacity. Terrible they should be ashamed of themselves.

On top of that, my car suddenly had a humming noise after their service. When I took it back, they changed their story and said I actually had a leak, and that the humming noise was "probably" a transmission problem. Then they wanted to charge me another diagnostic fee. So after spending over $600, my AC still didn't work, my car came back with a new noise, and their solution was to ask for even more money. Completely unacceptable service. I will not be returning.

It was not serious and I knew I could buff it out but I didn't know what kind of compound I should use. I'm from out of town and the AutoZone where I live, has helpful and knowledgeable employees so naturally I searched for an AutoZone nearby. I walked into the business and talked with an employee, Genia and asked if she would come outside to take a look at the scratch on the side of my car. She came outside with me, looked at the scratch, took her finger and immediately was able to rub some of the residue off. We went back inside the store where she showed me a line of products that would effectively buff the scratches out. She told me that I did not need an expensive compound because the less expensive ones were basically the same product. Genia was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and did not try to sell me a more expensive product. She was pleasant throughout my visit. She is definitely an ambassador for this place of business. Literally called and asked twice how much for INSULAted #1 copper and was told $2.38 a pound. I got…read moreto site and had small amount of aluminum wire and romex wire so I sorted it out in 3 sections ... The copper i had was 90% #1 as it was 12 gauge or larger and 10% of pieces here and there was 18 gauge so #2... You have to use a 35 gallon yard trash can to put on scale . My aluminum was 10 pounds / my romex was 8 pounds and my copper was 35 pounds . As the scale is right in front of my face ... when I get my receipt which was only $49. It shows the following: 1) aluminum wire .20 a pound @ 5 pounds = $1... I KNOW ITS ONLY ANOTHER $1 but I had 10 pounds .. she took off 5 pounds for using her bucket 2) romex was originally 8 pounds @ .70 = $5.60 which was the only one I wasn't screwed on. 3) which makes me so mad. I had originally 35 pounds of #1 insulated copper and a little #2. After I organized everything I had half a bucket full of copper and she herself even says "o you have #1 and some #2 in there " okay... the receipt says #3 copper @ $1.75 a pound (ripped me off .70 a pound already) AND IT SHOWS 24 pounds on top of that... so she steals .70 a pound and steal 11 pounds off the top... All together I should have around $95-$100 and I got 50% of that ... DONT GO HERE ...

Great prices and customer service on some hard to find parts. I'm building a 32 Ford and always looking for a local place to find what I need. I got a really nice 9" chrome booster with a billet master calendar and chrome proportioning valve. Jeff, the owner was very helpful in helping me get what I needed and also made sure I got the Brackets I needed to install everything. They even carry the AN fittings to run the stainless steel braded lines. I also found a bunch of other stuff I have on my wish list, I'll be back and I can highly recommend The Chrome Guy for anything chrome on your hot rod! read more
