My 2012 dodge avenger died in a clients apartment parking lot just as we pulled in. I had it taken to Big O Tires where they told me #5 cylinder had no compression. They don't handle that detail of work so i checked A Pit Stop reviews out and hoped for a miracle, an easy fix. Got it towed there the day before Thanksgiving. They looked at it the following Monday. Bad news, Rocker Arms/Camshaft was shot, leaking oil cooler gaskets and needed a new battery. I braced myself for a $4000 quote. Was only $2600. Monday diagnosed/Tuesday repaired in full! Easy and to the point, I'm glad I found these guys. They do solid work and on par with the industry standard in terms of pricing. I got all four break pads and two front rotors replaced for just under $500, which is about what I paid back in Chicago for a similar job. They had my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for about 3-4 hours and completed the job the same day with no issues. Thomas, one of the owners, is a real cool guy. I kept calling him Chris for whatever reason and he was totally cool about it and politely corrected me and didn't get frazzled when I continued to call him Chris for reasons unknown. All the other staff were very friendly as they smiled and said hi when entering the yard and office for the facility. Their couches are surprisingly comfy and even though it has a hole in the wall appearance, it's very comfy with free K-cup coffee (Starbucks at that) and a huge TV with cable, Netflix, and all that fun stuff. I'm happy with their work and the friendly atmosphere and I'll definitely be coming back to these guys to get some more work done when needed. read more

Not a good company at all. They learn by watching YouTube. Only good person there is no longer there. Save your time and look around. Shops near by are better and better priced. I took my car to PBK performance to fix all their mistakes. They worked on my car last year and didn't do the job right. Now today 8/24/22 i find Mis match screws and missing screws to put my headers on. Mind you this. All my parts were brand new. read more

Im going to start by saying that i bought a truck for work but i had it parked without using it for one month while i stoped working with the company truck.the day that i got to finally use it the a/c had stoped working.the compressor would turn on but immediately would turn on and off..i noticed that freon was leaking fron the core valves.i decided to replace the valves and recharge the system my self but the a/c would do the same.i took it to this place and they said they would charge $49 for a full diagnostic.after two hours of them "hooking up a special machine to find the problem " they said that I needed the low pressure switch and that that the part was $40 and to have it installed and fill up the freon would be $99 total .i know the switch is only around $20 but i cant complain.after they iNstalled it they said that they had already installed it and filled up the freon but that it didnt solve the problem.that it was getting cooler but kept on turning off.they said that they need the truck to do a dipper diagnostic.i asked them that if it was going to be the same price to fix it and the guy said not.i told him that they had said that it was $49 for a full diagnostic that they had said it was the low pressure switch and it wasnt that. the guy said that no that thats not how it work blah blah that they dont put parts for free etc he said that it was going to be a clogged line.i decided to pay for the low pressure switch and just leave.they ended up charging me $48.91...after 3 hrs being there i left and stoped at autozone for another can of freon and added more to the system.and PROBLEM SOLVED!!! All it needed was more freon witch they supposedly had filled it up.my guess is that it never needed the switch only more freon but mecanics always trying to make money out of customer.my a/c works perfect just the way i had bought the truck. read more

I took my truck there for a transmission paid 1,700 dollars , two months later it would not shift and I barely made it home from work , I took it back because it had a year warranty , a new owner bought the shop and is refusing to honor the warranty , it's the same name and shop , the previous owner would never screw someone like this , we do not have another 1,700 dollars to get my truck fixed , and he refuses to give us the old owners phone number , DO NOT TAKE YOUR vehicle here the new owners have no Integrity and will not honor a warranty , we now have to file a small claims through the court go somewhere else read more

Very clean and honest! I've taken my 07 Acura TL to "Mo" owner of Auto air plus several times now after it was recommended by a co worker. I was skeptical about an independent mechanic but after paying an arm and a leg at the dealership I gave it a shot. What a difference ! Straight honest answers and same day service. Took the car in for a noisy alternator replacement which we purchased at O'Reillys and an oil change. Manager called after several hours to tell us we needed an electrical cable and a serpentine belt. I authorized the work. I asked about the alternator and manager said they hadn't done that yet. Manager called 2 hours later to tell me it wasn't the alternator. It was an internal engine problem with timing adjusters. A repair of almost $2000. I told him I wasn't going to spend $2000 on this vehicle with almost 200,000 miles on it. He agreed the car wasn't worth enough to justify the expense. I told him I'd send it to the scrap yard first. The next day I went to pick up the vehicle and after seeing a bill for almost $500, I complained that he shouldn't have done serpentine belt and cable replacement before diagnosing the alternator problem. He looked at me blankly but said he discounted the bill $100. I paid the bill and got in my vehicle. I noticed the alternator I had purchased was not there. I went back into the office and told him I wanted my alternator. He went into the shop and brought me a box with a used alternator in it. I asked where the new one was. He said they installed it. I asked him why they installed a new alternator when there was nothing wrong (according to him) with my alternator. He said I told him to. I asked why I would ever tell him to put a new alternator on a car I was going to scrap and he said I told him to. That is not true. When I argued with him, he called the police. The good news is that I drove the car home. There is no more noise. I do not need a $2000 repair. What a scammer. I have used this shop numerous times in the past under the previous owner, Moe. The new guy is not honest. I'll never go back. read more
