They have a typical baltimore seafood selection but theirs actually tastes good compared to nearby places. The outdoor seating is the best here and I would personally choose that over the indoor space any day. The service was excellent shout out Xavier for a great dinner experience. The crab soup is really good and the PEI oysters were very fresh.

I am 6 months late in writing my review but I visited Choptank in August 2025. It is located in fells point right by the water so I would definitely recommend trying with friends who are visiting Baltimore to show them around! My friend and I sat outside and the staff were nice enough to move us when we realized our first table was directly facing the sun. Once we were seated at the table under the shade, we were ready to go. Our food was yummy and they even brought out champagne for us since we were celebrating my friend's engagement and my birthday. Their mimosas were also very yummy! The only caveat was that we were surrounded by bees the entire time we were there. The vibes, weather, food, and everything was good only if it weren't for the bees. I will definitely be back for their outdoor tables but try to go when bees aren't so out and about!

Doing a galentine's crawl with my girls and I purchased a ticket for the choptank experience. They gave me this cute breakfast board and the $2 cocktails package. I'm having a ball and the quality of everything including service is great. Signage could be better otherwise green flag.

With four minutes to spare, we managed to place our order right before the kitchen closed. And let me tell you--when they say "last call," you'd better jump on it because there are no exceptions. The drinks were good, and the staff was both nice and accommodating. But the mussels? They brought me pure joy. The broth was delicious and complemented the mussels perfectly. Everything I had was simply delicious.

This is a huge venue. We have been here twice, once for a drink at the bar outside and once for brunch inside. The service outside was not friendly at all. I think we hit some sort of shift change, we were ignored for quite awhile by both parties. We also came for brunch on a Sunday. There was live music and the service inside was much more friendly. The food was fun (that chicken sando on a donut was a great brunch idea, I just wish the chicken had actually been spicy). My salad, despite all of the varied ingredients, was not especially tasty. The drinks were inventive, my Bloody Mary was super chunky and a little hard to drink. I would probably grab a beer here (inside, most likely) but I don't think I would come back for the food.

Busy Saturday night, but found 2 seats at the bar. Service was fast and food was great, is there a such thing as bad food in Baltimore?! Steak salad was amazing the steak was very well seasoned and prepared. Calamari was fresh, nothing out of the world just. Half and half was interesting. More creamier than expected but it was first time trying this local dish. I would not order it again lol. But it was yummy. The food is pretty rich and they give you enough to take home so think maybe 3 meals lol. Ambiance was dinner crowd, tourist, locals, dates.

Very nice place. Lots of seating options. Very nice staff. Value is not quite there. Clean place, they had live music. Drinks were pricey. Crabcake Sandwhich had Big chunks of crab but lacked flavor. Five Guys has better fries. Crabsoup(half and half) was real good and recommended.

Dined here during a weekday happy hour around 6:00. The outdoor courtyard area bar was quite busy- because of the warm day we open for the indoor bar seating. Surprisingly, we were only one of two parties seated inside. The restaurant is very large and has nice, coastal ambiance. Our bartender, Nick, was so friendly and made some great cocktails. We were able to enjoy quite a few items from their happy-hour menu including the orange crush cocktail that Baltimore is known for I guess (was tasty), the oysters (fresh and delicious though a little on the small side), their gigantic meatball, and their warm crab dip (recommend adding more old bay). It was a nice experience to try some Baltimore seafood and drinks in a fun area, recommend!

The crabcakes are to die for! I've been to both Annapolis and Baltimore location and food has always been consistently great! Service was decent this day but it was a busy day! The place had a great coastal vibe though I wish it was by the water!

Received great service at the bar Friday. Food selection was great and we enjoyed the overall experience. I've dined here before and love when they have their outdoor seating available in the warmer months. Looks like a great space to host an event as well! Check them out the next time you're in the Fells Point area near Broadway Street Market

Choptank has the best outdoor space in Fells. I love the outdoor bar and all the seating that is outside. They have so many foosball tables and such too to get everyone goin! I've been here for dates, friend hangouts, and dinner. Shoutout to my fave bartender Nicole! They have excellent crushes, the best in the Fells area!

I just love it here. I'm from Annapolis so we have another location but the Baltimore one is different, but equally fun vibes. The crab dip and sandwich is delicious, no complaints on any of the sandwiches. My only ding is I think their half and half crab soup is too sweet, probably too much sherry for my taste. But a great time!

This place was highly recommended by my friend. And when I say it was the best recommendation, hands down it was. I made reservations which I didn't have to but glad I did. Just for comfort. The food was very delicious. The drinks on point. We were stuff early and couldn't hardly finish our food. The outside seating area was so cute and very well lit. It was a very friendly and an open atmosphere ambiance setting with lights and a lot of seating. Good for hanging out with friends or a date night or just a good night of food. The music was good. I can't wait to go back, and bring more friends.

So it cost me $10-15 to for a plastic takeout container. Had I not looked at the customer copy of the bill I would have not only not known but I would have tipped based on the total which already included the additional gratuity charge (which was not disclosed on the merchant copy). This is so unnecessary and ruined what would have been a good experience. They said it was a "sharing charge" which I have experienced and applies when u have another diner with you and u decide to split an entree. Had they disclosed I would at least had the option to finish the meal. The saying "stepping over dollars to pick up pennies " seems to apply as this left such a bad taste I doubt I will return despite the fact the crab cake was delicious and the loaded baked potato was average (hardly loaded) Beware of the hidden gratuity for take home leftovers!!! Update to above: I did follow up with Angie this morning and she was very kind and offered to credit back my card for the extra gratuity. She also explained that I was misled about the "sharing charge" but they do automatically add 15% gratuity regardless of party size or quality of service. So I would give 4 stars for the food quality and 1 star for the way in which they present and charge gratuity. Tipping should remain at the discretion of the diner based on service and food quality otherwise just get rid of tipping and raise your prices

Baltimore City Restaurant week, I love you!…read more I picked this restaurant for Winter Restaurant Week Lunch and I was very happy I did. Overall I had a very very good visit. I walked in and I was greeted immediately by Kelsey. I was informed I could sit where ever I wanted to sit and on which ever level floor I chose to and they would find me and take care of me. They did just that. I chose to sit on the 2nd level because it was a little warmer up there and I was able to have time to myself to catch up on my Yelp. I was given menus immediately although I already knew what I wanted. I ordered immediately and was informed that I made great selections and great selections indeed. I ordered their Firecracker Shrimp appetizer and B.A.L.T. Sandwich as my entree. The appetizer was plated lovely! It was so tasty and good. The B.A.L.T. is where we ran into some problems, but before I get to that let me finish out the greatness. The French Fries that I received with my sandwich was so good that I stop eating my Shrimp Appetizer because I had to eat each and every one of those curly seasoned fries. They were so so so good! They didn't even need ketchup! Now, this B.A.L.T. Sandwich was so sad I think I saw it crying on my plate. I got 1 scrawny piece of bacon for each half. They gave me the entire head of lettuce and I opted not to get the avocado and mayo but 1 miserable piece of bacon on each half... heartbreaking. For that reason this place gets a 4. Only reason I didn't give them a 3 is because the young lady that assisted (Kelsey) was fantastic! She was so sweet and kind. She came at the right time all the time and each time she needs to see me she had to run upstairs to check on little old me and appeared to have no problem with it. I would definitely eat there again but no way in hell would I order that B.A.L.T. sandwich. Ultimately worth a visit Yelpers !!

We didnt end up ordering brunch since items on the other menus won us over very quixkly: the crab cake eggrolls (appetizer) and the crab grilled cheese (lunch). Being ambitious, we did ask the server to leave the menu behind, just in case. There was so much deliciousness to choose from But alas, we were satiated. To drink, we skipped the bottomless Mimosa and Bloody Mary and opted instead for a Blood Orange Margarita (which was more berry-like in color) and a Passion Fruit Mezcal Sour. Both were a tad sweet for our preference but very good otherwise. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Seating: Indoor seating with room for about 20 people inside the market. Vibes: You're right in the heart of Old Town / Fells Point -- the touristy but charming part of Baltimore. I dig the vintage brick roads, the historic feel, and the mix of locals and visitors passing through. The space sits inside a lively market (1640 Aliceanna St) with that true Baltimore seafood vibe -- casual, approachable, and full of movement. It's not fine dining; it's flavor-first, no-nonsense, and welcoming. Great for a quick grab-and-go or to sit down for a casual meal. FOOD/DRINKS: Crab Soup (A-Ok) Simple but hearty. It reminded me of a tomato-based soup with crab mixed in -- nothing too fancy, but warm and satisfying. I appreciated the richness and good amount of crab meat.
