    New Zealand Lamb Lollipops Appetizer
    Bethany D.

Had dinner while staying at The Grand Resort as it came highly recommended. It did not disappoint! Started with the ahi tuna app and lobster nachos. Both were delicious, but agreed the tuna was a scarce portion size (5 small pieces). The lobster nachos were huge - and covered with all kinds of goodness! Definitely ask what is on them if you order - lots of tomatoes and green olives. I had the lamb lollipops appetizer as my dinner and it was amazing. Some of the best I've ever had and very affordable. Had we not ordered the appetizers... I probably would've went with the full dinner. My husband ordered the lamb shank and the portion size was huge which was great leftover the next day. Overall service and food was fantastic! We'd make the hour drive just to eat there again without the resort accommodations!

We were super excited to try this restaurant as it came highly recommended. We tried a few different things on the menu. The restaurant hostess was very accommodating as they fit us in even though it was a last minute reservation. The restaurant has a nice view of the golf course behind it. Our main concern was we kept looking for our server. The food was ok. Glad we were able to try it.

Everything was amazing!! My table had multiple appetizers lobster rolls, loaded lobster nachos, calamari and mozzarella stick. My salmon was delicious 10/10 and the buttered lemon sauce paired so well with my mash potatoes. The blueberry cheesecake was to die for. Already made plans for another return can't wait to try the cocktails next AMAZING FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE!!!!

I don't know. I've been here lots of times over the years, and it never thrilled me. Don't get me wrong, it's good...but it's not great. The restaurant is nice, as is the décor. It looks like the type of restaurant you would have to dress-up to attend. But there are people coming straight off the golf course to dine here, so there are some shorts, t-shirts, sneakers, and ballcaps. The food is good, but nothing has stood out enough to say "I have to have that again!" The best thing on the menu is actually the Angry Lobster Roll appetizer. That is a must-have. Everything else is just there. For the prices they are charging, these dishes should be outstanding Also, since this restaurant shares their parking lot with the hotel and golf course, it's tough to find a parking spot without a long walk.

menu (as of 02/2024). Interesting how sides work here. There are House sides (comp), Classic sides ($3), or Savory sides ($4). Pretty cool!

This review is for dinner for two at the bar on a Sunday in mid-February. service: Jenna was very professional and accommodating, despite covering the crowded bar and packed tables in the bar. It was dizzying to watch her work that hard! bar: My Bulleit Rye Manhattan (seriously $12! I don't think that was Happy Hour?) was fantastic and with the correct Luxardo cherry. I followed that with a Columbus Brewing Bodhi Double IPA ($6.75 as of 02/2024) and a glass of Kenwood Cab Sav ($9.25). Full bar with very impressive offerings. food: My wife ordered the almond crusted chicken ($22). Unfortunately, the dish appeared covered with a fruit sauce. This is one case where menu descriptions might have guided us to another dish? Jenna took the chicken off our bill without us asking. I had the 8 oz. filet ($48) with their house Chophouse salad and a loaded baked potato. Interesting how sides work here. Steaks and Chef's Specialties come with two sides. There are House sides (complimentary), Classic sides ($3 upcharge), or Savory sides ($4 upcharge). I really liked that innovative set-up. details: The place was packed on a Sunday night. We had reservations, but we snagged seats at the bar. Reservations highly recommended. Plenty of surface parking right outside. We didn't see a dress code, but place is upscale and very nice.

Fantastic dinner and service by our server hailey! Recommendations were suggested and did not disappoint. Lamb pops, calamari and miussels were great appetizers, the lamb chops and calamari were tender and OMG delicious. The sea bass, crab cakes, steak dinners were great. Drink service was quick and on point. The sun room was cozy and beautiful. Celebration of birthday dinner was presented with a complimentary dessert. Limoncello cake was light, airy, and delicious

The food quality was not what we expected. This could be because we were passing through and therefore were not dressed for fine dining.

My boyfriend and I weren't really into the King Cajun Seafood Special Sauce. I usually go for house special sauces since they're usually good, but this one just didn't hit the spot. We ordered the hot spice level, but it wasn't spicy at all, and the sauce had this creamy taste--maybe they added flour or cornstarch to thicken it? I prefer my seafood boil sauce to be zesty and spicy. We ended up ordering a side of Cajun garlic butter sauce instead, and that was way better in my opinion. I also wish I had asked for a side of lemon slices (my bad), it would've made the flavors pop more with some extra zest and tang. One thing I really liked about the restaurant was that their seafood sizes were enormous! The shrimp and crawfish were jumbo-sized, and the Dungeness crab was packed with meat. Oh, and a heads up, when we ordered extra corn, we thought it would be three cut pieces, but I think it was actually three whole corn cut into thirds. So yeah, no need to order extra corn unless you really love it. We ended up leaving with a whole bag of corn. I guess that will be my lunch and dinner for tomorrow.

The service is always impeccable. You never have to beg for anything. The servers are well trained. They come around regularly to fill drinks and genuinely care if you're having a good experience. Sadly, that type of service has mostly vanished most places. We had a wonderful female server. I unfortunately can't remember her name. She was upstairs yesterday with brown hair and a pony tail. Now to the food. They have a fantastic menu so you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My family and I have tried all kinds of things and loved them. It's our go to for celebrations. We started off with the fried artichokes which were crispy and delicious. They reminded us of the ones we had in Rome last year. My mom and I had the lemon pasta with shrimp. It was unbelievably good. You got tons of shrimp and the pasta was soft and melted in your mouth with the lemon. My husband loved his wedding soup and chicken Milanese. His family is Italian so he's hard on chicken cutlets. He said it was crispy and moist. It looked amazing but I didn't snap a photo since I was hungry. My cousin loved her eggplant Parmesan. She's also Italian and has been to Italy several times. That's her go to dish. It's always cooked perfectly. My other cousins got spaghetti and meatballs which they loved. The meatballs are huge and perfectly cooked. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you love Italian and know what good pasta is supposed to taste like, go to Leo's. Table Popcorn was good, definitely see how it works to get your stomach ready by grazing on a snack! Couldn't pinpoint the seasoning but it wasn't bad. Fried Dumplings, half spicy half mild. My goodness! My lips/gums were burning from the spice BUT the flavor was extraordinary and enjoyable despite my sensitivities LOL. The mild ones were perfection and flavors meshed well together. BEST CHICKEN & FRIES EVER! Kickin Bourbon (maybe SBR's?) were very fun and exciting on the palate. Definitely have that bourbon taste present and spice level was beginner friendly. The Soy Garlic were also delicious, it seems this was the "mild" sauce that was on the Fried Dumplings per my tastebuds' thoughts. Parmesan Truffle Fries had that perfect crispy thin outer shell and meaty inner potato heaven. Truffle level was satisfactory and not lacking (but could always do more). Food was fresh, table water was cold (thankfully) with an orange slice, & employees friendly. I did sit for about 10-15 minutes not eating anything due to needing a box and I had to initiate asking for one instead of it being offered. I love being left alone to eat, but don't forget about me! I will be back for sure.
