They changed the Hawaiian BBQ chichen to all dark meat and I hate dark meat. If you want white meat, you need to actually ask for it. But how would you know that since it's not on the menu.

Excellent fish cooked to order. The French fries are to die for. The chicken wings are always fresh with real containers for your food

The space is basic, but the food is what keeps people coming back. The portions are big without feeling sloppy. The chicken katsu is solid: crispy on the outside, still juicy inside, and not drowned in sauce. The BBQ plates are dependable -- sweet, smoky, and cooked well -- especially if you like a mix of meats. Nothing feels overdone, and that's kind of the point. The mac salad deserves a mention because it actually tastes like mac salad, not some watered-down side. Creamy, simple, and it pairs well with everything else on the plate. Rice is cooked right, which shouldn't be a big deal, but it is. It's not trying to be trendy or upscale Hawaiian food. It's just straightforward comfort food that fills you up and tastes good. If you're looking for a reliable spot when you want something hearty and familiar, Halo Hawaiian gets the job done.

I also got some teriyaki sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because the pork definitely needed a little sauce. There were onions in the pork that I wished were cooked a bit more, they basically steamed. The flavor was delicious but the takeout bag leaked pork juice (?) all over my other groceries so that kinda sucked. That's the only reason for my 4 stars this time, but the food was amazing as always!

The poke was good, with a great selection of sides and toppings to customize your bowl. Prices were reasonable for the quality, and the portions felt fair. It's not the best poke I've had but overall, pretty good. What really stood out was the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and had our order ready quickly.

So, when we saw this restaurant in Annapolis, we knew we had to give it a try. We were fortunate to find parking nearby, which is always a bonus in downtown Annapolis! When we walked into the restaurant, the gentleman at the counter greeted us promptly. We had not done any research about the layout prior, so we were surprised to see it was counter service, and not a sit down restaurant. However, that was fine. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. My husband ordered The Loco moco and he said it was very good. The egg was prepared perfectly, and it was a decent portion. He probably could've eaten a larger portion, however :-) I ordered a poke bowl with tuna and crab salad. I topped it with sunflower seeds, edamame, and an avocado lime sauce. It was delicious! The flavors melted very well together and the portion was just right. However, next time I think I will get the larger size so I have some to take home! We will definitely be back again because the menu has a lot of different stuff on it that we would like to try. If you're looking for a different kind of restaurant with something unique for this area, you should definitely check it out. It was also very affordable.

They are very dependable when it comes to getting fresh tuna poke, which is something I can't say about the other poke places I've been to in my general area. They also have generous portion sizes compared to other places. Good topping and sauce variety, and the bowl doesn't feel like it's filled with just rice! Service: 5/5 the same lady always serves me here and she is very efficient! Never had issues with service here. Ambiance: Small, typically a takeout location with a few 4-person tables available for seating. Clean place, no music.

Since we had to detour here, we decided to try it. You order and pay at the counter; there are a few tables if you want to eat there. My niece ordered the Spicy Hawaiian. It was a good portion, and she said it tasted good. I ordered a regular bowl with two proteins and house sauce. The salmon, tuna, and toppings seemed fresh, but unfortunately, the house sauce was bland and didn't add much flavor to the dish. I also asked for brown rice, but it tasted hard and crunchy--it seemed undercooked. We also ordered bubble tea, which was good and complemented the meal nicely. The lady at the counter was friendly, and the place itself was clean, though on the smaller side. While the quality of the ingredients was good, the house sauce could use some improvement, and the brown rice should be cooked longer.
