The pasta was a bit under cooked and lacked flavor, there wasn't enough sauce. We ended up asking for extra sauce which our waiter never gave us. My dad ordered the ribeye with a side of mac and cheese and absolutely enjoyed the ribeye. The Mac and cheese was not good, just tasted like pasta with cheese sprinkled on top. Located near the food court of Queens Center Mall, directly across many of the other sit down chain restaurants, is this restaurant with too many items on their menu to choose from! Which unfortunately means we usually end up ordering more than we can finish but that just means we get an extra meal right? There was a small wait of about 10 mins but it's nice because they take your number and send you a text when your table is ready. We were given water and bread right away and our waitress offered to take our drink order if we were ready. We started with the warm crab dip and spring roll sampler, which both came quickly which was great because we were hungry. I opted for the cheeseburger french dip and my girlfriend chose the pasta lunch special. Both dishes were great, service was excellent, and the meal was very enjoyable. Do not forget to save space for cheesecake. Cheesecake factory can be a bit loud, but that is what is expected from their large family style atmosphere. I really wanted to enjoy a nice date out and redeem a coupon i received . My partner and I went on a Friday afternoon around 5 pm and were seated promptly. We were both famished and wanted to order asap. We got the BBQ pork buns and meatball sliders for appetizers. The pork buns were drenched in sweet BBQ/teriyaki sauce, and I couldn't taste much else in it. Meatball sliders were good, meatballs were soft and paired with the pesto sauce. For our entrees, we got the Steak Diane ($31.95) and Baja Bowl with shrimp ($17.95). The only a few cubes of steak, which tasted bland and off, without the wine reduction. No char or flavor was present on the steak, as if it was boiled. Mashed potatoes were ok, although it needed gravy. There was also no vegetable to pair with the dish. The rice from the Baja Bowl was moist, soggy and not mixed thoroughly as I noticed clumps of white rice within the seasoning it was mixed in. After I mixed the bowl, everything just tasted like mush, which was very unfortunate. Our waiter may have been busy with other tables, as we did have to ask him to take our empty plates and fill our waters a few times. I truly wanted to like the dishes, perhaps we did not select the right entrees of the night. The server assigned to our table (Tony B) not only took too long to engage with us upon our arrival, but his attitude was also rude and dismissive. Basic service etiquette were not met, such as properly placing beverages and sugar caddy on the table instead of handling them directly to the customer (with a rude attitude). The most shocking part was the handling of the check. We ordered dessert, and while we were still finishing our cheesecake slices , he asked if we wanted the check in a tone that suggested he needed us to leave. Ironically, this was the fastest service we received. Our food took more than half an hour to be delivered, yet he presented the check and rang us up in less than six minutes; not even 3 min after another server comes in asking if the check was ready, displaying the same attitude, which made my guests uncomfortable and eager to leave as soon as possible. However, the Cheesecake Factory really did surprise me. The food was fresh, delicious, and really quick. We had the crab dip - it was really flavorful. That pumpernickel bread was one of my favorites and it was free. I had the cob salad - which was just what I wanted on a hot day. My partner got this massive chicken pizza with pasta on top. Hugeeee. Also very fresh and tasty. Payam was our server and she was the best part of the whole experience. Really sweet, attentive, and helpful. Opted for the Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli. The Salmon and Mash were both good, but the broccoli was bad. I hope I'm aging her name right. He was very pleasant. I had mad e T mistake and order a sparkling wine which I misread t the menu until my friend came and pointed it out. So I wanted to get it changed and order the regular red wine. Suffice to say I was satisfied with my choice but heard the not so pleasant news of her getting into trouble. My two girlfriends took me to The Cheesecake Factory for my belated birthday celebration. TCF does not seat you unless your entire party members are present. Our waitress was very prompt and efficient. The restaurant was very busy and she was waiting multiple tables but that did not deter her from doing a good job (I just cannot remember her name). It was quite dark inside. The complimentary bread (esp. the brown bread) and butter were delicious. We ordered two appetizers, a Caesar salad and a take on Japanese cucumbers. Both were average. I ordered the Jambalaya shrimp pasta. It was ok but because I was pretty full from the bread and the appetizers, I decided to box it to-go. Not a smart choice because it went bad the next day. I came in with a friend on a Friday night to grab some drinks and dessert. We saw a few empty tables, so we figured the wait time would be pretty quick, especially since there was little to no line. When we went to the front desk, they said the line was about 15 minutes. From my past experiences, the front desk usually gives people the offer to sit at the bar if the tables are full. We weren't given this information but later heard the front desk give another pair the option to sit at the bar, so we were confused as to why we didn't receive the same courtesy. After waiting a few minutes more and seeing groups that came after us get seated before us, we just took it upon ourselves to sit at the bar. The bartender did his best to be attentive and checked in on us even though he seemed busy. We were also able to stay as long as we'd like. The only thing was that when we were looking to pay, we weren't told that our check was in the glass in front of us so we had to flag him down. Once we got that check though, the payment process was straightforward via QR code. In terms of food and drink, I got the Factory Peach Bellini and my friend got the Georgia Peach, both of which are blended drinks. We also got a Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake to share. The Factory Peach Bellini didn't have a strong peachy flavor, but the Georgia Peach was very tasty! The Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake was fruity, tart, and light, which was exactly the kind of dessert we were looking for. One thing to note though is that I'm used to getting free bread at other Cheesecake Factory restaurants, but this one didn't give us any. Going to CF has been a favorite pastime of mine while I was away at college. Once every few months, I'd make the trip with a friend or two, order some appetizers to share, and split a slice of cheesecake. Since I've moved back to Queens, I planned on continuing my CF adventures, especially since the only CF in NYC is within walking distance from my home. The Cheesecake Factory at this location has been my favorite for several years since they opened. I only had one meal I wasn't happy with the food. I think part of my success eating here is that I go on a weekday when they open. It's not crowded so I get a lot of attention from my server. Yesterday was my birthday celebration and Marcus was our server. He answered my questions about the menu options and he ordered my meal exactly how I requested. It was perfect. After a very long wait to be seated, the food we received seemed like it had been sitting out for a while--lukewarm and unappetizing by the time it reached our table. I requested to speak with a manager, but it took over 30 minutes for someone to come by. In that time, I had already stepped away to use the restroom, and my friend ended up handling the situation. Sadly, the manager did not address the issue or offer any resolution. With no replacement offered and both of us needing to leave, we ended up paying for meals we could barely eat. What made this even more frustrating is that this visit was meant to be a birthday celebration. Instead of enjoying the moment, I left feeling let down and overlooked. I've always enjoyed The Cheesecake Factory in the past, but this experience was not up to standard.
