8/12/2026 MIXED BAG THIS REVIEW: The Cheesecake Factory - Pasta Da Vinci Okay, Mixed Bag family, this one was definitely a mixed bag! I ordered the Pasta Da Vinci at The Cheesecake Factory expecting a rich, savory pasta with chicken and mushrooms. As soon as they put the plate in front of me, I started having an allergic reaction from the smell alone. It had this strong, funky, almost stinky-cheese smell that immediately threw me off. Then came the taste. That sauce was SWEET. And when I say sweet, I'm talking almost teriyaki-sauce sweet. The description made this dish sound savory, and that's exactly what I was expecting. But for me, this dish was anything but savory. The sweetness completely took over the sauce, and it was not the flavor profile I expected from this pasta. Unfortunately, there was a much bigger issue. After I ate some of the pasta, my reaction became worse. I experienced wheezing and throat tightness and had to use my inhaler. When I got home, I looked up the ingredients because I wanted to know what was actually in this dish. That's when I discovered that the sauce is made with Madeira wine, an ingredient I'd never had before. I can't say for certain what caused my reaction, but that was the one ingredient that was completely new to me. NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT JOSHUA! Joshua was our server, and he was AMAZING. He was attentive, caring, and genuinely concerned about my well-being when he realized I was having a reaction. He checked on me and made sure I was okay. His level of concern and customer service did not go unnoticed. The Cheesecake Factory, please recognize Joshua for the excellent service he provided. Celebrated a well deserved cheat day at the cheesecake factory. Ran here all the way fresh m manhattan with my best friend as last ditch calorie expulsion so we could properly pig out, and pig out we did. Lemme get the ugly out of the way and say the wait was atrocious. We were promised a 40 minute wait which turned into 2 HOURS but we didn't leave cause we ran here from manhattan and werent about to not have our cheesecake cheat day we planned months ago. Weird cuz we saw multiple tables open during the wait too that they werent seating anyone in. An hour in we asked how much longer and were told we were next and it would be any minute, yet the "any minute" ended up being another hour LOL. They called multiple parties up and sat them in all the empty tables all at once instead of seating them as they opened up. Weird strategy. Anyways that awkward wait was made up for with an awesome waiter that was attentive and funny. Forgot his name but it started with an A and he had black curly hair dude you were awesome we loved you. Got the Korean Cauliflower and Crab Dip as appetizers. Cauliflower was FIREEEE so freaking good. Crab dip was alright, but good strat was to put the dip on the brown bread oh that was pretty nice. Split the Chicken Parm Pizza Style which was NUTS. So decadent (wrong word but idk what the savory version of decadent is) that we only managed one slice each and had to take the rest home so freaking good like thats american food innovation right there lmfao. Cheesecakes we obviously got the Oreo Dream Extreme the best cheesecake on the menu, as good as I remember it. I have patronized a Cheesecake Factory nearly two decades ago at 1504 Old Country Road, The Mall at The Source in Westbury, NY. I remember the extensive menu options for entrée and dessert with exuberance of sprightly liveliness. Forward. This Cheesecake Factory location sits adjacent to Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst, Queens, NYC. It is gargantuan dinning space. I like the setup of the booths and tables in a curved labyrinth rather than the traditional parallel grid. It was empty on a August Sunday with abundant seating available which I did not have to wait for a table for party of one. Customer service is attentive and welcoming as my requests were fulfilled. I was checked-in during my meal by a staff member. Price is reasonable as expected for 2026 economic stagflation era. Bread and butter were complimentary provided. Canadian bacon eggs Benedict, $19.95 This entrée was served on English muffins with home fries which were rather burnt and harden. The home fries contains very minimal onions which are also burnt and no tomatoes or peppers. The runny yolk was sufficiently running. Ketchup was provided as condiment. This entree is from the weekend Brunch menu. Calories count are ubiquitously written throughout the menu which is a law for national chain restaurants including drinks for situational awareness allowing dining patrons make informed dietary choices. It is time for me to make a return gym visit to work on my rigorous exercise regimen! Oh! My server Yessica B. was not pushy who allowed me to take my sweet time to consume, and truly enjoy my meal as there were abundant seating throughout the restaurant. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I was able to obtain my sales receipt as keepsake. Restroom facility is relatively clean with large stalls. The sink is modern sink faucet. There is a elegant interior design. Fresh quality food made in house. Complimentary bread with butter was so good. Bread came out warm and felt like it was fresh out of the oven. It came with butter that was really light and well seasoned. Ordered the crispy chicken costoletta substituting the mashed potatoes with angel hair pasta. Really solid dish, chicken cutlets were really crispy and the seasoning was just right. The pasta and asparagus was a bit lacking in flavor but overall ok. Staff were friendly, but maybe due to busy service, we felt like we were forgotten. Table next to us had a similar experience. Whether it was forgotten utensils, or having to flag down a different waiter for the check. Interior is clean and dimly lit, in line with cheese factory theme I suppose. Located inside the Queens Center Mall. Would recommend reserving a table in advance to showing up. We put our names in and were told 20-30 minute wait, but it ended up being closer to an hour. Cheesecake Factory has really good food. Must get appetizers are the Asian chicken nacho and avocado egg rolls. The Louisiana chicken pasta was a disappointment. The pasta was a bit under cooked and lacked flavor, there wasn't enough sauce. We ended up asking for extra sauce which our waiter never gave us. My dad ordered the ribeye with a side of mac and cheese and absolutely enjoyed the ribeye. The Mac and cheese was not good, just tasted like pasta with cheese sprinkled on top. Located near the food court of Queens Center Mall, directly across many of the other sit down chain restaurants, is this restaurant with too many items on their menu to choose from! Which unfortunately means we usually end up ordering more than we can finish but that just means we get an extra meal right? There was a small wait of about 10 mins but it's nice because they take your number and send you a text when your table is ready. We were given water and bread right away and our waitress offered to take our drink order if we were ready. We started with the warm crab dip and spring roll sampler, which both came quickly which was great because we were hungry. I opted for the cheeseburger french dip and my girlfriend chose the pasta lunch special. Both dishes were great, service was excellent, and the meal was very enjoyable. Do not forget to save space for cheesecake. Cheesecake factory can be a bit loud, but that is what is expected from their large family style atmosphere. I really wanted to enjoy a nice date out and redeem a coupon i received . My partner and I went on a Friday afternoon around 5 pm and were seated promptly. We were both famished and wanted to order asap. We got the BBQ pork buns and meatball sliders for appetizers. The pork buns were drenched in sweet BBQ/teriyaki sauce, and I couldn't taste much else in it. Meatball sliders were good, meatballs were soft and paired with the pesto sauce. For our entrees, we got the Steak Diane ($31.95) and Baja Bowl with shrimp ($17.95). The only a few cubes of steak, which tasted bland and off, without the wine reduction. No char or flavor was present on the steak, as if it was boiled. Mashed potatoes were ok, although it needed gravy. There was also no vegetable to pair with the dish. The rice from the Baja Bowl was moist, soggy and not mixed thoroughly as I noticed clumps of white rice within the seasoning it was mixed in. After I mixed the bowl, everything just tasted like mush, which was very unfortunate. Our waiter may have been busy with other tables, as we did have to ask him to take our empty plates and fill our waters a few times. I truly wanted to like the dishes, perhaps we did not select the right entrees of the night. My first time trying this location at queens center mall and it was great. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was fresh and full of flavor. Pasta was Al dente and the drinks were definitely flowing. The shrimp scampi was delicious made well not overcooked. When you've been going to Cheesecake factory a few times in CA, it's nice to revisit that in New York and know that the quality and atmosphere are the same coast to coast. The Avocado Eggrolls tasted odd and came with, what I can only describe as a cilantro sugar dip. Many of the chips in the nachos were burnt. The buffalo chicken sandwich was super weird. I always greet my waiters and waitresses with a smile even though I'm the customer and it should always be the other way around meaning they should greet me with a smile as well . She comes back takes my order and me and my family notice it's taking more than 30 minutes for our food to come and we didn't even order appetizers or drinks , just entrees . So we brought it to her attention and Sarcastically she goes " I'm not the one who's making your food " so we responded by telling her " We never said that we're just asking why is it taking so long because it's been 45 minutes now so she goes to " Check " but never came back with an update on our food . Finally another employee comes with our food and two minutes later Stephanie swings by our table and says Sarcastically " You see I told you I didn't forget " Again.... I'm not sure if she can't hear , but we never said she was the one who cooked the food nor did we ask her if she forgot we just wanted to know what was taking the kitchen so long . So once we were done eating she brings us our check and we notice something soooo strange , something we had neverrrrr and I mean neverrrr experienced . Today was my first time coming to a Cheesecake Factory. I know! Have I been living under a rock? But I've never been one to love a chain - at least in the US. However, the Cheesecake Factory really did surprise me. The food was fresh, delicious, and really quick. We had the crab dip - it was really flavorful. That pumpernickel bread was one of my favorites and it was free. I had the cob salad - which was just what I wanted on a hot day. My partner got this massive chicken pizza with pasta on top. Hugeeee. Also very fresh and tasty. Payam was our server and she was the best part of the whole experience. Really sweet, attentive, and helpful. After a long day of shopping, came here for what was supposed to just be a drink but an early dinner. I have bent been to TCF in years and years, so I didn't know what to get. Opted for the Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli. The Salmon and Mash were both good, but the broccoli was bad. I know it's weird how you can mess that up but it tasted undercooked and the pieces were just large chunks of broccoli. Although the food was amazing, the service we received was not the best. The server assigned to our table (Tony B) not only took too long to engage with us upon our arrival, but his attitude was also rude and dismissive. Basic service etiquette were not met, such as properly placing beverages and sugar caddy on the table instead of handling them directly to the customer (with a rude attitude). The most shocking part was the handling of the check. We ordered dessert, and while we were still finishing our cheesecake slices , he asked if we wanted the check in a tone that suggested he needed us to leave. Ironically, this was the fastest service we received. Our food took more than half an hour to be delivered, yet he presented the check and rang us up in less than six minutes; not even 3 min after another server comes in asking if the check was ready, displaying the same attitude, which made my guests uncomfortable and eager to leave as soon as possible. I tried to ease the tension by suggesting that they might have needed the table for an upcoming reservation, even though there were plenty of tables available, including some that were still waiting to be cleared. I came in with a friend on a Friday night to grab some drinks and dessert. We saw a few empty tables, so we figured the wait time would be pretty quick, especially since there was little to no line. When we went to the front desk, they said the line was about 15 minutes. From my past experiences, the front desk usually gives people the offer to sit at the bar if the tables are full. We weren't given this information but later heard the front desk give another pair the option to sit at the bar, so we were confused as to why we didn't receive the same courtesy. After waiting a few minutes more and seeing groups that came after us get seated before us, we just took it upon ourselves to sit at the bar. The bartender did his best to be attentive and checked in on us even though he seemed busy. We were also able to stay as long as we'd like. The only thing was that when we were looking to pay, we weren't told that our check was in the glass in front of us so we had to flag him down. Once we got that check though, the payment process was straightforward via QR code. In terms of food and drink, I got the Factory Peach Bellini and my friend got the Georgia Peach, both of which are blended drinks. We also got a Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake to share. The Factory Peach Bellini didn't have a strong peachy flavor, but the Georgia Peach was very tasty! The Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake was fruity, tart, and light, which was exactly the kind of dessert we were looking for. One thing to note though is that I'm used to getting free bread at other Cheesecake Factory restaurants, but this one didn't give us any. Going to CF has been a favorite pastime of mine while I was away at college. Once every few months, I'd make the trip with a friend or two, order some appetizers to share, and split a slice of cheesecake. Since I've moved back to Queens, I planned on continuing my CF adventures, especially since the only CF in NYC is within walking distance from my home. I hope I'm aging her name right. He was very pleasant. I had mad e T mistake and order a sparkling wine which I misread t the menu until my friend came and pointed it out. So I wanted to get it changed and order the regular red wine. Suffice to say I was satisfied with my choice but heard the not so pleasant news of her getting into trouble. It seemed like it was a problem changing it. However it was changed and I wasn't charged for it. Pal made our experience very pleasant. The old was very good. The Cheesecake Factory at this location has been my favorite for several years since they opened. I only had one meal I wasn't happy with the food. I think part of my success eating here is that I go on a weekday when they open. It's not crowded so I get a lot of attention from my server. Yesterday was my birthday celebration and Marcus was our server. He answered my questions about the menu options and he ordered my meal exactly how I requested. It was perfect. I'm a fan of The Cheesecake Factory. On my last visit, it was a busy Saturday afternoon, and the hostess sat my partner and I immediately. The main dining hall was loud, but the table we were given was in the long and sunny room adjacent to the sidewalk, and it was much quieter and more intimate there. I do not normally dine in or at chain restaurants. It's nothing personal--I prefer mom-and-pop owned restaurants or dives. The food quality in the latter is better, for me personally. My two girlfriends took me to The Cheesecake Factory for my belated birthday celebration. TCF does not seat you unless your entire party members are present. Our waitress was very prompt and efficient. The restaurant was very busy and she was waiting multiple tables but that did not deter her from doing a good job (I just cannot remember her name). It was quite dark inside. The complimentary bread (esp. the brown bread) and butter were delicious. We ordered two appetizers, a Caesar salad and a take on Japanese cucumbers. Both were average. I ordered the Jambalaya shrimp pasta. It was ok but because I was pretty full from the bread and the appetizers, I decided to box it to-go. Not a smart choice because it went bad the next day. For dessert, my friend ordered us a coconut-raspberry cheesecake slice. It was too sweet and the shredded coconut flakes were a deterrent in our teeth. read more
