Our favorite dinner spot! Bill and Deb are amazing hosts and the food is incredible! Open Saturday evening and reservations needed.

Great food, great atmosphere. Every lady gets a rose on the way out and the drinks are served by a toy train. You have to see to believe.

Ask the Community - The Cellar Creekside

Are reservations required on normal Saturday nights?

Yes! It's a small place, only four top tables. And, to be honest, why would you drive all the way out there and not be sure you have a seat? Worth the drive, so call ahead!!!

I am sure we were fortunate with the timing, but there were empty tables, not a lot, but a few as we were seated. They have a sign that says reservations will not be seated before their scheduled time. This was accurate as our 7 pm started seating at 7 exactly. One call out is that even if you don't get seated before your designated time, if you want a choice of open table when seating begins, they give you status on selecting your table on when you arrived and checked in for your reservation. Odd, but not a issue. The menu is straight forward and they have a large board on the wall listing different types of starches and veggies. Potatoes are listed as a starch, don't they qualify for both? There was an unlisted special the evening we were there of 16oz ribeye. There are a few other options on the menu that will suffice for most diners. Food was very flavorful with the ribeye being perfectly seared and prepared as requested. Their double baked potatoes were also solid. Overall, not fancy, but for the area it is in, upscale. I would choose it again over the fancy places in Bentonville, Rogers, and Fayetteville.

My Husband had the 3 way basket and it was more than he expected , bursting with flavor and the amount of food was enough for 2 to share. I had the 1lb crab legs with fried Okra and cajun rice . Hands down the fried catfish was amazing - though it wasn't what I ordered. Unfortunately the seafood boil dinner was lackluster in presentation and they were out of several staple items for that night (We did get alternate items at no extra charge). I don't usually splurge on cuisine like this too often but when I do I hope for it to be nearly perfect, worth every penny and worth bragging about. The crab leg I've attached to this review was small and had almost no meat to it.. almost as if it were the last bit of crab they had left. The drinks came out very slow, had to ask a few times about drinks we had ordered and they were out of options (beers on tap) that night as well. The restaurant was really fun and full of character. But being an out-of-towner I was disappointed that I've had better sea food at chain restaurants vs a local establishment. Can't say I'd never come back, I would probably order something else and come on a less busy night...

Had great service from Rhodes who was gracious and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great suggestions. The Upside Down cocktail was delicious. A bit sweet for a whiskey drink, but very good. The salmon and steak were perfectly cooked. The asparagus and mushroom sides scrumptious. We split a slice of vanilla caramel cake which was divine. A perfect meal.

We showed up about 45 minutes early for our 8:30 reservation and did a quick walk through. Instead of waiting around, we wandered upstairs to The Stone House Tavern (right next door) for a drink, and here's the move: they serve the full Grotto menu. Same kitchen, totally different vibe. We grabbed a table and never left. The tavern has a cozy, dim-lit feel with a massive wall of books that immediately stands out. It's quiet, relaxed, and easy to actually enjoy a conversation no shouting over noise, no rushing through dinner. Service was great. Our server was kind, attentive, and we had a few genuine, easy conversations with her that made the whole experience feel even more relaxed. We started with the quail poppers and the baby romaine both solid, but more of a warm-up than the main event. The bone-in pork chop is the star. It's massive, cooked right, and easily shareable if you add a couple of sides. Don't skip the acorn squash it was one of the best things on the table. We also tried the full wings with three sauces, and those were just as good flavorful, not overdone, and a great balance to the heavier entrée. Overall, this place delivers on food, atmosphere, and experience. Bonus points for the upstairs "secret." We'd absolutely come back and probably go straight to the tavern again.
