Popped in to get my iPhone fixed. The owner of the store Arthur is a genius who did just that. The repair cost was ridiculously low in comparison to how much Apple wanted to charge me. read more

Great service! Super knowledgeable and helpful! Honest local shop owner. Highly recommend stopping by for all your cell phone needs

If I could give this place 10 Stars I would! Arthur at this business is the ONLY person I trust for all things cell phone related. He has helped me so many times with so many different phone issues and always provides expert advice for a good value. It's so rare these days to be able to talk to an expert and get solid, honest, reasonably-priced, reliable recommendations. What more can I say except get yourself down there if you're looking for, well, basically anything to do with your phone, current or new one. read more

Don't go here for repairs. owner botched my sisters phone and mine. Must have installed the new screens wrong because cracks formed in the new glass the day after both of our repairs read more

I've been coming here for years! Love this store and the prices are great. Everyone I've met working here is always super friendly too. You can not go wrong getting your phone fixed or buying a gently used refurbished phone here. read more

I've purchased 5 refurbished phones from here. No issues. Had most of them for 2 to 3 years. When I got another refurbished phone I gave it a family member. They've used the phone for additional 2 years. They get my hand me downs. Clean esn on all of them. Only time I had a problem was with a charger and they took care of it right away. My go to place. read more

GREAT! service and explanation of all the cellphone plans! They also have lots of used phones that you can choose from! 7 days warranty too! Update: they actually made a mistake with the plans. They were unaware that the plans they gave us have changed but they promptly switched us to another carrier/plan and didn't charge us the extra $10. read more

The Cell Wireless - Inside - Mobile Phones Near Me - San Francisco, California

Buyer beware at The Cell Wireless!!! I bought a phone there about 45 days ago, a Nexus 5x. The phone got the dreaded bootloop of death after about 17 days of having it. No problem, I thought, they have a 30 day guarantee on their used phones. Took it back and they replaced it with the same model, great! Fast-forward 28 days, and the phone is not meeting my expectations - won't connect to my car's bluetooth, freezes up all the time. I thought, hey, maybe they'll stand behind their product and let me exchange this for a different phone. I went in there with a wad of cash ready to exchange for a much nicer phone, but they were unwilling to honor their 30 day guarantee, since it had been about 45 days from the purchase of the original (failed) phone. They offered to "buy back" the phone for a significantly lower amount than I had paid. Crooks. Bottom line, if you buy a phone from here (DON'T), you'd better hope it fails right away. If it fails on day 29, you'll have one day with the new phone before their "guarantee" runs out. read more

Wow. Nice people, great prices and if there is a problem they will make it right. What else do you need? I thought buying a used phone involved shady characters is a sketchy part of town. Nope, not here. My iPhone got wet which destroyed my display screen. Within 10 minutes of entering their store I had an exact replacement at a very competitive price, they connected the new phone to my provider, and I was out the door. Also was offered a free case (!) but since I had one I opted for free screen protector. Yikes. But bring cash, no CC, but not a big deal. read more

Absolutely awful. They sold me an iPhone 7 and said "it's unlocked for any carrier" I put my SIM card in and 3 days later the phone is blacklisted as stolen. I tried to tell them it no longer worked and they didn't refund or exchange it. No wonder they only allow payments in cash. If I had paid with credit or debit I'd be contacting my bank since they wouldn't refund. Unfortunately paying with cash the bank can't help, I think they know that. Do not buy anything from this store. Ever. Edit* I do have my receipt and I am a past, one time customer of theirs. I will be posting the receipt at soon as I get home to show how much the owner is lying about this. read more

Arthur was great. He meticulously changed the battery in my IPhone 7 and took his time making sure everything was good. Prior to that I bought an iPhone xr from him a couple months ago. I feel his phones are priced fairly and trust the quality of the phones. read more

Bought my iPhone 6s here and was pleased with the price and I've returned to upgrade to a 7 plus. Best service and reasonable prices

When I switched from Android to iPhone for metro pcs I went here & got a great deal and fast friendly service. I walked out with a previously owned iphone in excellent condition, case included and had no complaints. After dropping that phone about a year later on the beach as the wave rolled in, I went back for a replacement and upgraded. I'm a satisfied customer & hope this store doesn't change or close and continues to offer great service & get deals. You get a better deal if you pay cash! read more

They suck. Made a trip to San Francisco to buy a phone from them, arrived at 4:30 on Monday and they were closed up tight. It's not the first time it's happened either. They're a great store, WHEN they're open. Won't do THAT again. read more

We got here at 4:30 and they were closed despite having a sign on the door claiming 1pm to 5:30pm. Just throw their claims into the trash.

I don't have any experience with their phones, just their customer service. I wanted to buy a phone from them but when I called to ask a few questions about their warranty, they rudely said they were too busy and hung up on me. I can understand being busy but hanging up on customers who are willing to spend hundreds of dollars in your store is really a bad business plan. Other stores put people on hold. Bottom Line - I don't know if their phones are cheaper than the rest or if they work or not. I just know they are rude and not interested in making a sale, which is fine by me since I don't want to give them my money now anyways. read more

Excellent service and unbeatable prices. My i Phone screen broke completely so I was desperate to get a new one. The guys at the store not only helped me pick the right replacement (an used iPhone 6 ES with 180GB memory for $270 that still works like a new phone now months into it), but he also helped me download all my old pictures to my laptop using a temporary screen, free of charge. I really appreciated the efficacy, value of products and service. A few month later when my Dad needed a new phone I referred him there and he's also happy with the purchase. read more

Needed a SIM card cut (from micro to nano for an iPhone 5S). It was $5 and took 30 seconds, worked great. Cricket (down the street) wanted $21 for a new nano SIM (though the guy told me it's $10 if you order on line and pick it up in the store). What a waste compared to this store. There were a ton of cases though a little pricy at $15 each. There were also lots of used phones (including many iphones) at not crazy prices (though you can do better on craigslist). The staff were very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. read more

Went to get my mom a phone because she deserves a better one. I felt welcomed and the woman working was extremely nice. It was definitely an easier process compared to going to Verizon and getting an upgrade, so this way the phone could just be activated and still eligible for an upgrade! Most certainly a cheaper way as well! Anyways, she had answers to all my questions and was awesome. We went back the same day to exchange phones and she was very understanding. They carry a lot of things and I would recommend this place! read more

Picked up a Galaxy S7 a year ago decent price for my son. They were helpful and patient

It was a one-stop shop for me. I knew the phone and service I wanted but MetroPCS didn't have the phone at a price I could deal with so I went to The Cell. A great guy named Ki showed me what he had available (second hand, tested with 7 day warranty) and when I mentioned a good camera was important to me he immediately told me which one had more MP's--very knowledgeable! He was waiting for the unlock code for one I chose -- said he could email it to me, and gave me his number in case I had any problems. Sure enough, a couple hours later while still out and about, I checked on a friend's iPad and was able to unlock and use it while still shopping. Both Ki and the girl he was working with were friendly, helpful and the whole experience was a whole lot more fun than the indifferent sad sacks that hate their jobs at MetroPcs. (Not meant to be a reflection of ALL MetroPCS staff!) Awesome customer service. read more

Great service at this store! I decided to chose for another model phone within a week and they were very nice about replacing it. I bought an Iphone 6 for my son, very reasonably priced, works perfectly. My Samsung Galaxy S7 is also excellent. Would definitely recommend this store. After trying twice to get a decent used iphone 6s off ebay , I turned to these folks on my son's recommendation. The whole transaction took about 10 mins. Fair prices , easy to work with , nice folks, soft sell no BS. It's only been a day but I feel good about supporting this small , local business. Very pleased with my experience at The Cell Wireless. I was in the market for an iPhone 5 (yes, I know it's 4 years old), and since it was my first time buying an iPhone, I researched them and found out that there could be a lot of pitfalls: 1) iCloud lock. 2) passcode lock. 3) Network lock. 4) Bad IMEI/blacklisted. 5) near-dead battery. 6) compatibility with H20 wireless. My options were: 1) Craigslist. 2) ebay. 3) Gazelle.com. 4) buying a used one in a store. Only #3 and #4 would have some moneyback guarantee, just in case something didn't work out. Luckily I was browsing Craigslist and The Cell Wireless had an ad up. Their IPhone 5's were competitively priced with Gazelle and I wouldn't have to pay postage for having it mailed to me, or to return it. I stopped by the store, and checked out the 2 iPhone 5s that they had. They inserted my H20 SIM to show me that the phone worked with it. I asked if I could register it on iCloud and they said "yes". I went with the iPhone 5C. I made a quick trip to the bank (the store is cash-only) and became the new owner of an iPhone 5. Within a day, I saw that the battery was good, and the phone registered on iCloud, no problem at all. I am very pleased with my purchase. I liked the way that they held my hand (I'm an iPhone novice) through the process. It's true that I could have saved maybe $50 by buying an IPhone 5 from someone on Craigslist, but the peace of mind I got from buying at an actual store was worth it. read more

We're a household with 2 college kids, and we go through phones. My wife tends to go to T-Mobile and order a new phone when her old one acts up. Those phones have a huge mark-up and buying technology that will be outdated in six months at a premium makes me apoplectic. Cell Wireless is where I go when I need a new phone--I've gotten them for myself and both my daughters and have had no problems. The selection is wonderfully broad--Apple, Samsung, LG...you name it. The staff are competent and engaging; I'm delighted to have found this place. They don't take credit cards for purchases over $100, which is inconvenient, but the phones are relatively affordable, so worth the hassle. read more

Is this place still open as a business?? I went there yesterday at 6:30pm (Thurs) and it was closed. With a big sign declaring them open 1-7pm except on Wednesdays. I would love to give this place 5 stars but they need to be way more consistent about the hours they're open. I've driven all the way across town during the hours they were supposed to be open, only to discover they were closed. Just a few days ago I called to make sure they were open (on a day & time they were supposed to be open) and the phone rang and rang - no message, no nothing. Tried again later, same deal. I wanted to buy a new cell phone from them because I've had good experiences there ... but I ended up buying it online. read more

Walked in today with a malfunctioning phone and was unsure about my ISP compatibility with an unlocked phone.
