My Goomba isn't very social but he gets plenty of cuddles from Cecilia herself and that makes him happy. He's also much more comfortable being around other small dogs, so it's a great fit for him. Other dogs who love to play and be social love Doggies Heaven just as much. How do I know? Because I get to see them all on Facebook!! Cecilia posts lots of pictures and videos every day. Being able to see how my pup is doing while I'm away is awesome, but I love just as much to keep tabs on my favorite Doggies Heaven charges and share in the fun with other clients. It's a bit different than the usual kennel - the dogs spend their days hanging out together on several acres of securely fenced land. To stay there, a dog must first be evaluated to see if he has a good temperament with other dogs, and my mild-mannered Aussie had no trouble getting a spot. Each dog has their own private area at night, and when they want a break from the party outside. The grounds are well maintained, and the staff are responsive and helpful (though can be a bit gruff at times). When I dropped my dog off, I forgot to bring his food, and they arranged house food for him at a minimal extra cost. When I picked him up, he spent two days recovering from his vacation! I'd happily leave him there again.

Arguably the worst situation, is that upon picking my dog up, she had hair loss and skin lesions under her belly and thigh and on her neck, one actively oozing!! She was filthy, her bedding looked like it was left outside for the 2 weeks! Maybe she was too! I am so upset that I left my dog there, after having to pay $1050, and now vet costs, I cannot recommend this place. We have been coming here for a few years, never again! Owners and facility should be shut down and inspected. The filth of the dog bed alone was alarming, much less my dog having a skin infection!
