The staff promptly replied to our request for services (2 area rugs needing cleaning). They showed up on the stated date and time and respected our space while removing the rugs for cleaning. They returned the rugs on the stated day and time and placed properly placed them in their respective spots. The cost is reasonable and the staff instilled confidence in their abilities. They did an awesome job cleaning my area rug. It looks amazing and their price was very reasonable. Plus Gina and Zach were knowledgeable, professional and very kind. I would definitely use them again! read more

We had a small job to clean carpeted stairs that were dirty from our recent move. The stairs after look amazing! Our friends recommended them and we agree they are the best. We are going to have them do upholstery cleaning next. read more

living in Mammoth Lakes, you take advantage when you drive to Reno. I had a rug that needed cleaning and I could not have been more satisfied with carpet Tender: the value, the quality of the work, and the customer service. Tara, called me and said if she could have the carpet a little bit longer because she wanted to wash it one more time. Are you kidding me? how often do you come across with great customer service like that! I highly recommend the carpet Tender read more

I used another company the last time for my area rugs and they came back not looking good. The colors and pile was off. I tried carpet tenders the next time. OMG the difference. My rugs look new. read more

The Carpet Tender - My living room rug - Carpet Cleaning Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Carpet Tender did a wonderful job on our carpets! They were very dirty and they look so clean now! I am surprised they came out so well!

The tech that cleans the rugs called me back and made things right, not the woman at the front desk. They took the rug back and cleaned it again for me and it looks much better, thank you! Original review: Had a rug cleaned by this company, left it rolled up because my son was potty training. I unrolled it after about 2 month of it being stored inside the house and the whole rug was full of dog hair, crusty food, and was still matted down and just felt dirty. The rug is 10'x8' and I vacuumed it when I rolled it out and got more than a cup of dirt out of it. When I called the company to ask if maybe it got missed and not cleaned the lady was extremely rude and defensive and said it was not possible for it to get missed. Bottom line I believe I paid $180 and the rug was not cleaned! The only resolution offered was to pay and have the rug not cleaned again! read more

They may clean carpets well but they are not good as installers. We purchased carpet and vinyl from Carpet One. Very happy with the product but the installation was a nightmare. Too many issues to list. We would not allow these installers back in our home. I have to update this review. Joe the CEO of Carpet Tender came back 2 times to fix ALL the issues we had with the install. The only reason I'm giving them a 3 star is the time it took to get everything fixed. read more

Carpet tender has been the absolute best area rug cleaner in the area i am so glad i found them. My area rugs have never looked better. they are clean, odorless and really look like new thank you recommend highly read more

After three months in our new home, from moving in, adjusting for our disabled 85 yo dad living with us, an older dog and a new puppy, lots of visitors - our carpets were a MESS! Suffice it to say every member of the family contributed to stains in one way or another. Greg took great care of us - he was professional, efficient, knowledgeable and kind. I believe a cheaper company would require cleaning far more often, thus making it more costly in the end. Next step: large areas of tile cleaned. We will be using Carpet Tender for all of these needs, in fact my expensive Turkish area rug is in for expert cleaning with them right now!. Plus, when we are ready, Shelly in their design studio is great with remodels and replacing floor covering! read more

The Carpet Tender did a FABULOUS job on my antique rugs! They took the time to show me their "state of the Art" cleaning process, and walked me through it, MOST IMPRESSIVE! My rugs look like they are Brand New!! Thank You "The Carpet Tender" Brad S. read more

As an Interior Designer, I have tried numerous rug cleaning companies in Reno and Sparks. The quality of the work at Carpet Tender is excellent...a bit pricey but with good results. They are always backlogged and will not allow a customer to book a reservation in advance so you just have to wait the usual 3 weeks to get the work done. The owner, Joe, and his wife Stacy are easy to work with. The front office could use remedial training is how to handle customers. Just a tip...if you want to have your rugs serged, be aware that they use clear shiny thread rather then the same color as your rug. My client does NOT like the shiny reflection. Hopefully there are other alternatives for those who do not want the shine. Otherwise I am once again happy with the results and hope you will be too~!~ read more

We have quite a few Moroccans wool carpets and I was worried about taking them to be cleaned. I had heard good things about the Carpet Tender so we decided to try them. We took our thick wool Berber carpet, handmade by women in the Atlas Mountains to the Carpet Tender and they did not disappoint! The carpet came back clean and very soft to the touch and the dyes did not run as I feared. We will definitely be using them in the future for our other Moroccan carpets! read more

I have used this company to clean our area rugs on a regular basis. They are always fast and friendly. The rugs come out spotless and looking new! read more

I really like this business, they always stick to the estimate they give. They also do a great job on steam cleaning all of my limestone and clean out the a/c ducts. They are friendly and very reliable and reasonable. read more

We have used The Carpet Tender for several years. Great employees, excellent results. We also have them clean area rugs. Outstanding results.. Even more impressive, our 6 month puppy tried to unravel our carpet. The Carpet Tenders did an amazing repair job.. you would never know it was damaged. We appreciate no up selling when they do the job. One fair price and always an outstanding job.. read more

Another great job by Ron. I can't say enough good things about the quality of work he does. My carpets are 25 years old and every time he cleans them they look like new again. Love the fact they bring their own ph balanced water. I don't know of anyone else who does that. Most carpet cleaners just hook up to your water spigot. I've had a few of the other popular carpet cleaners clean my carpets over the past several years with not much success. Since I started using the carpet tender a few years ago the difference is unbelievable. Thank you Ron as always for a beautiful job. read more

I have a large oriental carpet that got flooded in the recent rain. Carpet Tender came to my home and took it away for cleaning. They were kind enough to delay the return because I had to get new padding that had not arrived by the time of the original delivery date. The carpet looks wonderful. This is the second time I have used their services and in the future they will be the first company I call. Thank you for your help. Chesa read more

Terrible experience all the way around. I scheduled a cleaning for 2 pm on my move out day and got a call 15 minutes before the cleaning saying they have to cancel my appointment due to the fact I live in a high rise. When I called to figure out a solution with the management the scheduler was very rude and blamed me for the cancellation. Obviously this was a huge set back as the move out condition of the carpets is a huge factor in how much of the security deposit one gets back. Thankfully I found another carpet cleaner called Evergreen and they were able to come out SAME DAY and were very friendly. Don't waste your time here and go with Evergreen or some other local carpet cleaning business. read more

Wow overall two stars that really surprises me, I actually had quite a good experience with them. First I had about 3000 square feet of flooring installed, about 95% solid surface and the remainder carpet. Joe was great to work with and really stood behind their product and work. I then had them in for carpet repair in another house, I needed them ASAP and they showed up on time and got the job done. I would recommend them. read more

As an interior designer, I work with lots of clients needing carpeting and rugs. In this particular instance, I had a client needing a rug to be cut down. After several emails and conversations, I never heard back regarding scheduling. In fact, when I called to schedule, the representative accused me of having called yesterday and being rude to the staff. Obviously, it wasn't me and it wasn't anyone from my staff (I do not have employees). WOW! I just wanted to do business with Carpet Tender and hopefully have them in my roll-o-desk for future clients. That definitely won't be happening. read more

I initially had large room rugs cleaned here, twice. I was very impressed both times. The first rug was an 'ancient' Mexican woven rug that while in Florida had received bug damage. Well, CT fixed the rug, added a backing and the wonderful rug lives on. Then I had some other large wool room rugs cleaned and again I was impressed due to damage repair recommendations. Rugs are clean and beautiful again. I then discovered that CT does flooring and wall to wall carpeting. Today my NEW laminate floor is finished and it's great. Joe of CT is personal, professional, accurate, and knows all the details to consider. The crew was the best too. I definitely recommend Carpet Tender to all! read more

Just bought a 3700 sq foot house. Had the carpet tenders totally re carpet the entire up stairs and I did hard wood on the first floor. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Total bill was just shy or 20k. Well worth the money. The installers knew what they were doing and the owner walked us through patiently with our choices. A plus all around. read more

Apparently they only have one employee. He called in sick and the receptionist never even called us to tell us he wasn't showing up! We called 30 mins after the missed appt and she nonchalantly says 'oh ya I forgot to call you' Next day....same thing happens! I understand people get sick but its extremely unprofessional to not call a customer and let them know. So I got off work early 2 days in a row for nothing. She did not call us to let us know he wouldn't be showing up again the 2nd day. I ended up using someone else. I wouldn't recommend this unprofessional company to anyone. read more

Carpet Tender has done several jobs for us. First, cleaning existing carpets and installing new carpets. Second, cleaning and repairing a family heirloom area rug. And third, creating a custom area rug for our oddly shaped LR. We've been very happy with the quality of work in all cases. Importantly, Joe has been invaluable with his advice on what type of carpet is best for our needs and on what colors will work well with our existing decor. The only downside is their hours are not as convenient as other carpet vendors in the area. But I visited several competitors before Carpet Tender and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. They are terrific to work with. read more

We have used Carpet Tender several times now for carpet cleaning rental homes between tenants. This time they sent out Brian, and he did a great job. Other companies we have used in the past charge for every little thing. Carpet Tender pre-treats as necessary and the final result is that carpet looks great. Stains that we weren't sure would come out came out really well. Forget the other companies. We will be using Carpet Tender from now on! read more

The carpet Tender always does a good job on my area rugs. They also do repairs and fringe replacement but they are a bit pricey.

I have been using The Carpet Tender for years now. Carlos cleans my carpet on a yearly basis and I wouldn't use anyone else. They take my area rugs in to be cleaned and bring them back. I even had my whole house carpeted years back. Very professional and courteous. Recommend them to anyone who needs their services. read more

I brought in an area rug we use under our kitchen table. Naturally, it had some stains and was matted with dirtier areas where peoples' shoes would constantly hit when sitting. They looked at it look at it and give me an HONEST opinion about the stains (no problem), high dirt areas (no problem) and the matting of the pile (a probable problem area due to the type of carpet fiber). They measured it and gave me a fair price based solely on size with no attempts to upsell stain spotting, stain protection, deodorizing, etc.. She also gave me super speedy service because we had company coming in six days. When I picked it up four days later and spread it out at home, all of her assessments were correct except she was able to unmat the pile better than I expected. Though not perfect, it is under a table, and looks GREAT. I truly appreciate dealing with honest people who give you a true idea of services performed and what the customer should expect. Keep up the good work. Ken G. read more

Service techs are great. Professional, knowledgeable and very careful with homeowners items. Good quality of service all around. Unfortunately one has to deal with "Debbie "for scheduling. She's gets 5 stars for unfriendly and rude. Too bad, based on interactions with her I feel I can no longer use this company read more

WARNING! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! They ruin your rug and then try to charge you to fix it! I just threw away our 8 foot wool & silk rug that was totally ruined. They charged us $185 to have it professionally cleaned. When we got it home, the edges curled up, a huge tripping hazard. Even worse, the entire back side was shedding fine light colored dust. When I called, they explained that you should never wash a rug with a glue bonding. ( The average person would not know this, the experts would!) I asked why they washed it instead of telling me not to. I was told "some customers slip through the crack". They then offered me a service to re-bond the backing with silicone for an additional $185. And they said, "it comes with a free cleaning." SCAM!! read more

Took in three wool area rugs that we had for 10 years or so and had never been cleaned. Weren't sure they were worth saving, had been stored for years. A couple of employees came right out, brought in our rugs from the car, rolled out and evaluated our project. We were quoted the cost and told they were three weeks out on their schedule. To the day, they called to let us know they were ready. Turned out great, better than expected. Pricing was good, work perfect, stayed on schedule and easy to work with friendly place. read more

I always use carpet tender they have been so great with spills and accidents On my area rugs.

What a great place! I have a middle eastern rug that my stupid cats had covertly tried to destroy the edges and corners on. I took it here and the staff was very friendly and they fixed it for a very fair price. I have to say that this rug cannot be replaced and I plan to have it In my family for many years to come. I would recommend this company for any rug repair to anyone! read more

I had a very bad time the person answering the phone. She was rude and would not give me any info on our carpet. We sent it in on April 5 and expected the rug back within 2 weeks. This did not happen. Every time we called she would not give us any information as she said that if we had a time the clients they would expect the date. We finally received our rug on April 24. Way to long to wait for our carpet. We will not use the carpet tender again due to this person. However, the people that pick up and delivered our carpet were very friendly and nice. The manager was very professional. read more

Destroyed my Persian carpets! Used a rotary cleaner - tore the fringe, destroyed the nap. Zero compensation. Run away!!!

I agree with the other reviewer. Run away, run away fast. I had two chairs with stains on them, was told to bring them in to the plant for cleaning. They did not get the stains out and the fabric is no longer soft to the touch. Not only did they still charge me $70 but they tried to say they warned me the stains wouldn't come out. Nowhere in my written estimate does it say that. read more

I am thrilled with the cleaning of my Kazak rug. It looks as good as new. Very pleased with Carpet Tender.
