Frank's High Fidelity came up with high marks. I stopped in to see what they had available and possibly make an appointment. Jesse was incredible from start to finish. The 2013 Jeep I bought had a Pioneer radio without a CD player. I have a huge collection of CD's so it's a necessity for me to have a CD player in my vehicle. Jesse checked out my system and made a couple suggestions without pushing a hard upsell for their most expensive products. He allowed me to make the decision and he ordered my radio. I brought the Jeep in a week later for the install. While Frank the owner was installing the radio, Jesse took the time to show me everything else they offer in the shop. No crazy upsell. Just a friendly, "Here's what we have and keep us in mind for the future." They offer car audio and video systems, car starters, LED head lights, Weathertech products, truck side steps, and they install and service breathalyzer systems in vehicles for DUI's. Very busy niche for Frank's. Frank and Jesse went above and beyond to make sure my new Pioneer radio was installed perfectly. 5 stars is the most you can give for most reviews. I give Frank's High Fidelity 6 stars. Frank even gave me an extensive tutorial on how to operate the radio. He also said to come back if I have any questions. Now that's great service.

Got paid by insurance and I paid him $120 above that. He didn't understand that Porsche radios must be programmed to the car's vin. and after two replacement radios, 37 (the actual number) phone calls, and patiently waiting for 6 months for him to figure that out, on June 27th he told me to find someone else to finish the job. Since he started it, the insurance won't pay a reputable company to program it, and Frank, who could get paid for programing it won't finish the job. I'm left with a radio that still doesn't work, and no way to fix it except pay for it myself. After he couldn't just replace the radio, Frank is rude and abrupt. YOU should stay as far away from that place as only possible.

That being said, I've never had to go to a shop to install subs, amps or wiring for that matter, until recently. I was very skeptical to allow someone else to work on my sons car, I've seen some butchered installations in the past. Some of these big box stores and other stereo shops will hire just about anybody that can turn a screwdriver and a wire cap. The end result is usually not good... Which brings me to this review... Already knowing in advance what places I'd be avoiding, I decided to call B&C in Watertown, on Google, it looked like a nice quaint location and thought perhaps this place would probably give me the best one on one experience. Boy was I right!! I called the shop and spoke to the owner Barry, not only is he the owner, he's also the installation professional, sales professional, a REAL PROFESSIONAL! So we spoke for a little bit, already knowing some answers myself, I asked him some questions, we chatted for a little over 5 minutes, I was sold, Barry was very friendly, very knowledgeable, very helpful and very fair on his pricing. He definitely knows his stuff and doesn't pressure you on anything, because of this great experience thus far, I scheduled my appointment. Appointment day - I called ahead to tell Barry we were going to be a few minutes late because we had to get gas, he was very understanding. So we finally arrive and walk into the shop. My first Impression was wow, he has a very good inventory. Wish I knew he was here years ago. We were kindly greeted by Barry and we dropped off the car. After having lunch in Waterbury we decided to swing back to the shop. Perfect timing, he was already done and pulling the car back out. Now that was quick I'm thinking!! I'm still impressed today and it's been a couple days already (LOL). So anyways, he shows us his work from under the hood to the back of the trunk and demos the audio for us, wow!! The wiring is great! The audio is great! This man is great!! For real... Finally, tell me this, when was the last time you been to a car audio shop and see a car audio license hanging behind the counter? Probably never! Why? Because most of these other places hire just about anybody just as I said before and these "installers" are not licensed, certified or whatever. When I first came in David tested the old stereo unit for free since it had been sitting in the trunk of my car for a few years. I called a couple shops last minute because I had to get this done asap and 'My Audioworks' in Milford was the only shop that could do it the following day (Best Buy wanted me to wait 2 - 3 weeks lol). Very fair price on the parts and labor (came to about $100 which is standard), just had to wait a day for the "car kit" to make sure the stereo unit would fit and not move around at all while driving. Glad I stumbled upon these guys while visiting Connecticut. I was in and out within 45 minutes once I dropped off the car. Would recommend this place to anyone in CT. I think I met one of the owners as I was leaving and he seemed real down to earth, he gave me a little tour. I found out they also teach music and sell instruments here.
