    ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BUYING EXPERIENCE IN MY 60 YEARS ON EARTH ! I'm naturally a somewhat skeptical person, "don't expect a lot & you'll never be disappointed" is my motto, but Dowling Ford & their team of down to earth professionals went miles & miles beyond my greatest expectations in #1 - ordering exactly what we wanted in our new Bronco Big Bend, #2 keeping us informed during the LONG build wait (it was a Bronco after all !) & finally #3 making the delivery day fast, easy, & most importantly enjoyable! I'll work with actual family owned over corporate "family " any day. While the "big boys" are charging thousands $$$ over MSRP & calling it market value adjustments after your vehicle shows up, Dowling Ford kept their word WITHOUT me having to ask for it in writing, I was just that comfortable with them. Thanks Beth, Dan, & Asher for the wonderful experience, looking forward to doing it again when my Maverick shows up !

    Just go to Howard Warnken if you need to purchase a truck. We purchased a used 2017 Ford F-150 and we couldn't be happier. We had our mechanic check out the truck and it is a gem. Howard is honest and easy to work with. He is not a slick, chatty salesperson. He gets right to the point and delivers excellent service and supplied us with all the information we needed to make an informed decision. We don't ever buy used vehicles; so it was a big leap for us, but Howard got us to the right decision without applying any pressure. Quite the happy campers. Gary and Jen

    Wow. Where do I even begin? Everything about this car buying process was easy, painless, and most importantly, honest. I have never encountered a dealership like this one. Most of time they are filled with employees that do not care about you, only your pockets. That is not the case here. You are completely taken care of at Dowling. I came here last week to test drive a Bronco Sport. I didn't intend on buying anything right away. I wanted to feel the car out first and save a bit more money for my down payment. Dan was my salesman and there was absolutely NO pressure whatsoever. I let him know what my intentions were, and he educated me on everything I needed to know. This was my first car purchase, mind you. Every other car I've owned was given to me by family so you can imagine the amount of anxiety I was already feeling. Dan asked if he could check in with me after a few days to which I said was perfectly fine. Sure enough, I was the one calling HIM the following week to ask if we could start the buying process. The only time I felt anxious was waiting for Dan to call and let me know whether I had been approved. After he let me know that I was approved, I met with Asher in the finance department. Again, I felt zero pressure. Asher is very kind and was accommodating to my needs. Just like with Dan, Asher educated me on everything and took his time explaining every option to make sure I was comfortable with the decisions I made. I highly recommend Dowling Ford, especially if this is your first time buying a car!

Iysnia Lanbay waited on us and I really had no idea what I was looking for but had at least a general idea and this woman knew exactly what I needed. And she explained the part in detail which I never expected her to do, because all other part stores that I have been to just want your money and don't even care if it is right, and a lot don't know their a$$es from their noses. I will now go nowhere else but here, thanks to her. If you need an experienced person to talk to this is the person you need. The store is in a difficult spot to get into but it is well worth it! I hate going to part stores because they try to make you feel like your stupid and shouldn't be there and that is most of the auto parts stores in Wallingford just a half a town away. We ever need any auto stuff we are now going here from now on and ya all should as well. Clean, organized, we'll kept, and managed. I can't say enough about my experience! Had he not asked I simply would have walked up to get the components myself. I gave him the year, make and model of my vehicle. After typing it into the computer, he proceeded to tell me how hungry he was then... no lie turned around to check his cell saying "has anyone texted me?". Who he was asking I have no clue but I had to wait for him to put his phone down. We walked back to the oil section and I told him I wanted whatever was on sale and high mileage. He proceeded to tell me that "everything is on sale" before telling me I needed to put synthetic oil in the car. I said I didn't need it, the car has well over 150k and just need the simple on sale high mileage. He proceeded to try to tell me I was wrong but, pulled the normal high mileage oil off the shelf when I said basic (with an audible sigh mind you). He then proceeded to walk over to the oil filter section and tell me that unfortunately the filter that comes with this product is crap. I said it's just our around town car and we don't go far. I said had I still had my mini Cooper I'd opt for something better like a FRAM. He then tells me that's stupid because you can't say FRAM and better in the same sentence. I said I'd used K&N in the past as well and he told me I was stupid because they're crap too... It's at this point, had he continued to talk, I wouldn't be writing this review. I'd be waiting to be bailed out of jail. Had he uttered one more derogatory word, I'd have likely swung on him. I've been working with my dad on cars since I was about 8 years old. I don't assume to know everything HOWEVER, I too am in customer service (albeit in the Information Tech field as a manager), I have NEVER in my life dismissed someones opinion on a product even if I knew they were wrong. I MAY suggest something different based on experience but never act like this. After leaving I called the store. THAT kid picked up and I asked to talk to the manager (Matt). He was at least cordial. I explained to him what happened. He was very apologetic and asked why I didnt say something when I was there. I told him I've got a very even temper with a long fuse, however I'm also Puerto Rican so when the wick is lit.... I told him I couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't have lost it and started screaming so I thought it better to just take my leave. I told him I could have ordered it on Amazon OR just gone to Walmart and gotten equivalent products and probably cheeper too. I said I work more than 40 hours full time and I shouldn't have to deal with this crap on the weekend trying to get items for maintenance on the car. As it is, I've already left feedback on the "autozonecares.com" site which I doubt they'll respond to and left a voicemail at the regional office. In the future, I'll be playing the option of Amazon, Walmart OR one of the other auto stores in the area. Before I left the house I was speaking with my dad and he mentioned that O'Reilly had the oil change for the same price. Hind sight is 20/20 they say but I never thought it could be a foreshadowing. I actually was thinking on the way there to myself if I was going to be hassled. Ironic...

My wife and I moved to North Haven from Wethersfield four years ago. I went into my local "previous" auto parts store. It didn't have what I need. I then went into this O'Reilly Auto Parts. It completely won me over. I never wetn back. Phenomenal people - beautifully laid out - totally professional. My most recent experience - last week - was I walked into the store - as I so often do - in need of some advice / expertise. There was a friendly young man, Zach. I asked him a somewhat technical question about a piece of equipment I wanted to buy. There were several types at a range of prices. Zach led me - with perfect clarity to the right piece at the right price. Then explained to me exactly how to use it. I walked out - as I always do from this great store - with a COMPLETE solution. Zach is a young superstar on the rise. Great attitude. Knowledgeable. Provides above and beyond service. his extra effort didn't result in any immediate dollars going into the store's daily revenue. But it solidified in my heart and mind why O'Reilly's is my ONLY go to store in their specialty. I recommend to O'Reilly's Auto Trader Corporate. Sneak in a video camera and train it on Zach on any day he works there. You could use that as an absolute role model for training others. All the Trainer would have to do is to edit the highlights of his day, play the tape - and turn to the class and say - "And THAT is how its done!!!". Thanks Zach!
