I brought my truck there today to get a key fob programmed I went there without appointment and still was seen right away, they were very friendly service was Amazing, the technician went to program my key fob and it was giving him problems so he looked at my alarm and keyless entry system and noticed it was wired incorrectly and he corrected the problem right then and there he did not charge me for any of the extra things that he had to do in order to program my key fob. KarTele I'm so sorry my husband bought a gift card from this place for my Christmas gift. First of all they couldn't install the automatic car start. That's okay. When it came to getting the money back for the gift card it is an ongoing nightmare. Not only have we not gotten the money back but instead of putting it back in my husband's account they took more OUT! That was on 1/16/19. Today is 1/22/19 and we have not gotten the money back. I went in for a DVR front & rear Dashcam. I asked Mike not to touch any of the wiring from a competitor's 2 way remote start install because I was thinking of having them remove it as it was not functioning properly. He said he would take a look at it for me since it was close to where he needed to be for my Dashcam install. Turns out they had wired everything poorly & incorrectly. Mike spent a lot of extra time fixing their mistakes & wiring my remote start before he even started with my scheduled install. I left with a correctly working remote start from a competitor & a beautifully installed new Dashcam. Mike was very good at communicating with me throughout the entire process & even helped me add the trunk pop function to my app for the remote start. He only charged me 1 hour of labor for cleaning up after the other guys. I am very happy with the service & definitely recommend you have work done here. read more

I have a 2009 WRX manual and I wanted a Viper alarm system with all it offers and willing to pay top dollar for quality work. I went here based on the reviews and took a pretty far drive because I live in new haven. This place was not able to do the work I needed and Mike pretty much gave up on the whole thing. I have minor performance modifications done to the car but nothing that interferes with the starter. I should of known better when I called on the phone and Mike said he has not installed a lot of the modules I wanted for the viper alarm system very often. But ignoring my gut instinct I went and it was a waste of time and money. I picked up my car with a promise to come back at a later date after he called me telling me he could not get it done but decided to go to a better shop. My car would not start after I left there and it gave me a code as if someone made a copy of my key chip and it would randomly not turn on. My car does have a factory fuel pump cutoff if it detects tampering with the key chip but this should have been something he knew given that he has a Subaru and was all enthusiastic about Subaru's. It was a nightmare. If you are looking for a good place who does quality work go to Speed of Sound Technologies in Milford CT. I spoke with Milton, explained my situation and he said he would take care of me and sure enough I have a remote starter and alarm system like I wanted with no issues. P.S. I should of walked away when I got there as there was a woman who was unsatisfied with what they did to her car and wanted everything removed. The Kartele employee (who also states that he is the owner) is a sad case of poor customer service to the point that he was verbally abusive. More importantly, he was grossly incompetent and not knowledgeable at all about installing new equipment. But this is one part of the problem. The main concern is that the employee is highly unprofessional with costumers referred by corporate/companies whom he works with. This miscommunication stems in his inability of processing the customer's requests and concerns. He can not listen or process a two step operation. In fact, he couldn't process the information at all, thus he yells, raises his voice, and exhibits lack of respect. He sounds irrational and made it hard to work with this type of service. Bottom line is, do not use his services. There are many stores that provide similar services and products. read more

I was referred to Kartele by a friend to purchase a car starter and have it installed. I was impressed by the knowledge and expertise of Rob. After discussing all of the options, we determined that the Idatastart was the best one for my car.
