The certifications on the walls of the waiting room attest to their efforts to remain current and provide customers with first class service. I learned today that they also do the "simpler things" too. My 9 year old car has areas of paint loss and it is time to fix the paint or sell the vehicle. I thought such a job would be too small. Not the case! The reception staff offered a warm welcome. Bob treated the car the way he might a high end import. The estimate was detailed. This was a very frustrating experience. It's one thing to get a high estimate but another to feel judged in the process. The lady was focused more on pushing me towards using my insurance rather than just giving me a fair and transparent estimate. The lack of sympathy and assumptions about my ability to pay was very very off-putting. I will be going to other shops that can give me a different estimate and may treat you with more respect and fairness. A business should focus on providing honest service, not making assumptions about a customer's financial situation. Leading with "Are you going through insurance?" instead of simply assessing the damage feels like they're prioritizing their payout over the customer's experience. A good business practice would be to first acknowledge the inconvenience and stress the customer is facing, then provide a fair and transparent estimate--without pressure. The push toward insurance does seem like a tactic to inflate costs rather than just doing what's right. Unfortunately, some auto body shops operate this way, knowing that insurance companies will cover higher charges. I feel distrustful of any business that seems more focused on maximizing its profit than actually helping you through an already frustrating situation. read more

Dishonest Business. Avoid an unfortunate surprise with this business. They give you an initial estimate and later send a very large bill justifying their poor business practices. Go to your car dealership instead even the payment is more but at least they are responsible and respect the customer. read more

I had the misfortune of my car being the victim of a Costco parking lot. After reaching out to my insurance this was the body shop they suggested. My experience was nothing short of stellar. All of the employees were communicative and personable. I even had a family emergency and had to go out of town, they were able to hold my car no problem! North Haven Auto Body has been a fixture for many years. When I lived nearby, they fixed my car and my wife's car and did an excellent job. They have insurance adjusters on site and above all, a friendly and efficient staff. My most recent experience actually doesn't stem from a repair. Instead, I wanted to share how they treated me when is was apparent that my car would be a total loss and thus, not generate any business from them. Other repair shops might have let their service standards slack when it became apparent that the customer would not yield a repair. Not North Haven Auto Body. They kept in contact with me, reminded the involved insurance company to act and did so in a professional and courtesy manner. Heck, they were so nice, I wanted them to fix my car but the insurance payout and economics did not make sense. In sum, North Haven Auto Body provides what we think of as old fashioned customer first service. While I hope I won't need them in the future, they are first on my list just in case! read more

Do not trust this shop. They are in the making-money business! I had 2 bad experiences with them. Never again! I took my car there because it was a land rover certified repair shop, during the pandemic. So I did not have a car for 6 months. They said parts were not coming in. However, I was able to call other dealers and get the part "that was not available". They would not let me bring the part in, they had to purchase it themselves. Even though it would be coming from a Land Rover dealer (not aftermarket). Long story short I was driving a rental for 6 months because they were too lazy to call another Land Rover dealer and order the part. Once they fixed the car, it came out leaking radiator fluids. which was part of the original accident repair cost. I took it back to them, and they fixed it (again), but guess what it is now leaking radiator fluids from the same location. I took the car to them for a second incident, my car got broken into. they just broke the pillars of both the driver and passenger door, with no damage to the glass. So I went through insurance and they gave me a quote for new pillars driver and passenger side. The car was supposed to be done in 3 days, (this was their quote after I waited for parts to come in). received the car a week later because they decided to replace the window without asking me or updating me on replacing the window glass. Again there was nothing wrong with the glass. So I go to pick up the car and it has no tints. The only reason I found out the glass was replaced. Now had to take the car to get ceramic tints installed and spend more money and time. If they had contacted me, would have not agreed to get the window glass replaced. Seems as if they wanted an easy way to make more money on the claim. read more

My son's car was damaged in early April. North Haven Auto Body was one of his insurance company's "preferred" shops, and it was the closest to our home, so he made arrangements to bring it there. Their initial estimate was 20 working days. It seems that some people are very impressed with NHAB's communication, but apparently my son (who is active-duty military) didn't merit that level of communication. What he got was repeated delays and either no information at all or uninformative updates by text message like "Your car is now in repair." When NHAB finally delivered his car, 43 working days later, the repairs looked good, but as with all body repair work, the test for quality is in the passage of time. So, we'll see. What I can say with certainty, though, is that NHAB's quality control at delivery was absolutely terrible. Apparently, they were in a big hurry to give the car back. There was heavy adhesive residue from their tape on the roof, they had failed to reset the tire pressure monitoring system (which we specifically told them in writing they needed to do), there were interior trim panels that hadn't been reinstalled, one of his fog lights had been simply put back into place with no hardware to secure it (it fell out while driving the car), and there were multiple scratches/gouges around the rear window opening from removing and reinstalling the window. When you let a car go out the door in that condition after working on it for 2 months and charging an insurance company $14,000, the message you send is "We don't really care." And in advance of the owner asking why we didn't bring the car back to make everything right, the answer is that if you can't make everything right in 2 months, you don't deserve another chance. read more

These guys do amazing work, are honest and Bob does go out of his way to make things right if something goes wrong. This shop does stellar work! period! Beware of taking your car to this shop if you are in auto accident and want to keep your car! North Haven Autobody was a preferred repair shop for my auto insurance so I took it there. It is my impression after months of dealing with this shop and that insurance company, that North Haven Autobody, USAA and Copart are in the business of working together to profit from totaled vehicles. My car was sent to shop for repair after a not at fault accident and North Haven Autobody was preferred shop for USAA insurance. I waited 2 months for appointment, the car had cosmetic damage only and was drivable. When finally got appointment, they began to repair car. 10 days later I received text that there had been supplement for 1,000 and the car was now considered total loss. When I looked at the supplement it was for an area that had not been directly damaged in the accident. The work had already been started and a small upper rear window was removed prior to me receiving this message. I was told by Rich at North Haven Autobody that once the window was removed it had to be replaced with new window as was a certification requirement. I believe the shop knew once window was out there was no putting it back and cost would put repair over threshold and result in total loss. My car at this point had been completely taken apart and was no longer drivable. I asked for car to be put back together so I could get another estimate as some of the items on repair estimate seemed inappropriate and in excess in my opinion ( ex/ scratch on wheel- replace entire wheel, there were othersas well) and I was refused. NHAB had been paid 8,000 at this point to fix the car and they refused to put car into state that could be driven or safely towed. I was told by Rich " we don't work on totaled vehicles." YOU must be kidding !! He then proceeded to tell me that the car would be sold for parts which was a complete lie. In fact, Copart a company that auctions vehicles would be reselling the car at auction as both USAA and NHAB were fully aware as this is not their first rodeo. The same situation also happened to my brother through North Haven Autobody few months prior were a car he had just purchased was hit while parked and he took to NHAB and he was also suspicious that NHAB was making money off the totaling of his vehicle and possible retaining the vehicle. I also believe there is something very wrong here as well. I was left stuck with no way to move vehicle, could not get another estimate and was told vehicle totaled and could not now be driven and salvage title and that I could not get estimate anywhere else. This was a luxury car in excellent condition with no mechanical issues. This is a complete ruse and consumer beware or you will loose your car. read more

They sold me a car with tons of problems that I was not afraid of and I believe that for a car valued in 20k should be in at least decent condition or explain to the costumer what is going on with the car, I regret a lot buying from this place a car that at the time gave me a lot of problems and plus the car was from Florida and I wasn't told about that never! read more

I have a new Tesla that was parked outside during a snow storm that turned into freezing rain. My car was completely encased in ice, and there were tree branches falling around me as I frantically tried to break the ice off to get into the car. My scraper slipped off the window and slid down the door, cutting a deep gouge in the paint a good 1/4" wide and 6" long. Needless to say I was horrified and angry with myself, but better than being hit with a tree limb. I had heard nothing but good things about this shop, and they are a Tesla authorized repair shop so I went in for a quote. I expected to at least need the section repainted and blended and was worried about the time and cost. On of the guys came out, introduced himself and we walked out to inspect the damage. He looked at it, ran his hand down the door and the gouge in it and told me he thought he could improve it by buffing it. He told me to go back inside and he'd call me. After a few minutes he called me outside; the gouge was gone! I couldn't see it or feel it at all! I really couldn't believe it-I asked what I owed him, he waved it aside, telling me there was no charge. I offered cookies, he laughed, but declined, wished me a good day and went back inside. I'm still quite amazed, that he was able to remove that gouge so quickly and completely. I highly recommend them. read more

However, NHAB took care of absolutely everything! From the estimate, to the insurance appraiser, the rental and the entire claim - they did it all. My only job was to drop it off. The team there kept me informed every step of the way and it was finished exactly when promised. The quality of the work was outstanding - in fact you would never know the car had been damaged. I had a very good experience with North Haven Autobody after a driver swiped my Model 3 while parked. I will definitely be back in the future if needed and will recommend them to friends and family. Positives: They communicated with me throughout the entire process and kept me updated. Never having body work before, I was very anxious and this helped a ton. Their estimate was less than the other shops I checked out and I really liked using their online estimate tool. They have an enterprise counter at the body shop, which made getting a rental so simple. Negatives: I'm reaching here because overall my experience was very positive. They quoted me 4 days originally and it took 5, mostly because they had to have the insurance adjuster come to get more money. I figure this is just part of the business and doesn't reflect poorly on the shop. When I picked the car up, there was still a small scratch on the hood that they had missed but they were able to buff it out almost entirely before I left and told me I could come back if needed to finish it up. Was sent here by Geico after having a minor accident last month. The woman at the desk, Ines, was very friendly and helpful. I asked to be contacted by email when there were updates, and she was quick to update me and respond to all my questions. It took a while to get my reimbursement back for the credit card hold on the rental car, but that was Geico's fault, not NHAB's. After getting my car back, Ines made sure I was happy with the results AND she even emailed about 2 weeks later just to make sure I was completely satisfied - I was! The facility itself is very nicely maintained. The office has a main room and desk with a pretty water fountain wall behind it. On the premises are Geico and Enterprise offices so you don't have to run around to different places if you're in an accident/need a rental. Quality of the repair was great. I definitely will bring my car here for future services. read more

Great communication. Great service. Most importantly phenomenal job. I was rear ended by a drunk driver who hit my car so hard, my bumper detached from my car (it's build on, hard to explain, just google 2016 grand touring cx3, you'll see what I'm talking about). Long story short, the insurance (drunk woman's) was giving them a hard time, so I ended up staying with the rental for a few more days than anticipated free of charge. Throughout the entire process I was called and notified of all the steps they took to fix my car. Went in because my passenger window was stuck open, and the gentleman in the front told me they could simply close the window for $50, or completely fix the window's power so that it could open and close again for $260. He told me it would take only an hour, and I trusted his word that it would be fixed in that amount of time, and for that price. I agreed to have it completely fixed. After waiting two hours, he informs me there is another part I would need and additional work, and that he would call me back. After I called the next day, he informs me the part would cost another $240, which I assumed didn't include the work to install. At that point I no longer trusted his word, as who knows if some other mystery cost would pop up in the future. They should have assessed the situation fully before charging me $260, so they could have given me an accurate price estimate for the repair. This would have changed me decision, and I would have simply paid the $50 to close the window, and be done with it. I kindly asked for a partial refund, and they refused. Essentially, I spent $260 for a $50 job, and they weren't even willing to meet me halfway. read more

The people at North Haven Auto Body were thorough in their explanation, made paperwork easy, and made my car look really nice after a bad collision. They even matched the discontinued bright orange paint on my car and got factory prices for my parts! My one complaint is that they were not proactive in updating me about the status of my car. They told me that my car would be done by the end of the week, and when I called it turned out that there was a lot of damage they had not anticipated and it would take at least an extra day. I really think it was their responsibility to let me know that not only was I paying outside of the quote but I'd have to wait longer than the quote. That being said, whenever I called to ask about the status of my car, they always went and gave me a detailed update and were very kind about my need to know the exact time when I could get it. read more

North Haven Auto Body repaired the front fender and right door on my red Tesla. The experience was great. They do a review and appraisal of the needed work and give you a detailed estimate. Once you choose them you get an assigned representative who notifies you each step of the way on the status of the repair and if any additional work is needed. The work went as expected and the car looks like new. They are also Tesla Certified so even better because the car has sensors throughout that need to be minded when someone is working on the vehicle. A great experience for me. read more

Got a small dent in our car's bumper over weekend. Took to first auto place who insisted that bumper had to be replaced at $940, and that dent could not be popped out. I said I wanted to shop around and he obnoxiously said, "Sure...feel free, but you'll end up back here. Any other place around here is going to give you bad parts or service." In my experience the tag line is true, 'Your Best Decision After a Collision'...The owner immediately responded to my email inquiries, they were easy to work with and responded promptly to questions. A tree branch fell on my chrysler 300 causing the roof to have a big dent running to the seem of the back window, it also had a dent on the trunk seem which broke my tail light and cracked my rear bumper. They did an amazing job to the point when I got it back there was absolutely NO evidence that there was ever an accident or damage. Its been a few weeks now and it still looks great! The only reason why its not a 5****** is cuz it took a couple weeks longer than promised. But I got to ride in a 2012 Chrysler 300 rental for 3 weeks which they paid for! The staff and owner need training on customer service. Its hard to believe that they can be so arrogant to think that the customer needs them more than they need the customer. They act like they are so great with customer relations, but certainly are not. Ironically, I found out by accident exactly what they thought of me. They mistakenly sent an email to me bashing me with language that can not be repeated here. If that is what they think of a customer, then it certainly isn't a place I want to do business with. I don't often write Yelp reviews, but North Haven Auto Body certainly deserves the recognition of what I have to say. My mother of age 90 had a minor collision with her Buick LeSabre Custom. The car wasn't perfect to begin with, but it was a well kept and clean piece with only 50k miles on a 15 year old vehicle. I work just up the road from North Haven Auto Body and decided to bring it there for the damage repair. I must say... throughout the process, NHAB was highly professional. Ines at the front counter was very friendly and she contacted me every couple days to give me progress reports on how the work was coming. I went to technical school after high school for auto body and worked in the trade back in my younger years. I have a trained eye and know what flaws to look for when it comes to collision repair. NHAB did a spectacular job! The metallic was nice and even, the consistency in the clear coat was like factory and there was no contaminants or imperfections in the finish whatsoever. All the body panels aligned perfectly and their attention to detail was superb. They even buffed the whole car and detailed the interior! I don't think this car has looked this good in 10 years. LOL I realize my mom's Buick was not a gem to begin with... but NHAB treated it with the same care and respect they would give a Tesla. I will never service my car here nor recommend anyone service their car here. I was advised by my neighbor that he Services his car here and they never over charge etc. etc. an icy raised driveway cracked my undercarriage. The repair was $315. I was advised that $275 of this was a part that I searched certified Nissan Parts web pages listing the part @ $138. When I questioned this very politely I was given a bit of attitude and told they had to charge what Nissan charged. More likely than not they will be pocketing the additional $80+ dollars at my, a college student with 2 jobs, expense. Is there no honesty in this crooked car repair business?! read more

They did a good job with the paint. It looks to be a shade darker. Most likely because they were using the original color code and trying to match a car that had been slightly faded. But my biggest complaint is I arranged with the gentleman who gave me the estimate to repair a spot just beyond the fender that had the damage. But it was not done. When I spoke to the woman at the office she was not professional about it at all. And downright mean. The takeaway on this is to MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERITHING IN WRITING!!! read more

Scheduling with this company is a nightmare. I used the drop box and parked my car for appt the next day expecting it could be done while I was out of town But they couldn't find signed paperwork on front seat so wanted me to resend That wasn't convenient! I'm in the hospital not at my company and already was pissed that the car rental wouldn't call me back to get loaner. Not convenient there either. I go in to get my car and she says we can reschedule at my convenience- huh? Where's the paperwork I left on the front seat? Response from guy who drives up w my car Oh that was just the estimate....Noooooo that was the signed paperwork and you've waisted enough of my time Nothing convenient about people who steal my time And then want me to thank them for it!!!
