How often do you get to play with Capybaras! So glad we heard about this place before our trip to Saint Augustine. A once in a lifetime experience for us and our son. The gentleman who was in charge of our experience, was knowledgeable and provided us with many different ways to interact with all Mocha, Latte and the two newest capybara's that were not named yet. The place is a little hard to find though and some of the neighboring businesses have no idea it's there, we had to ask at more than one until we were pointed in the right direction. The name is a little confusing as well as we were under the impression before or after the experience we could get lunch. Loved visiting the Capybara Cafe. It's a great spot if you're taking a day trip from Jacksonville. Perfect for older kids and teens.

Such an amazing experience! The staff were so nice and very knowledgeable about all of the different animals species. We were able to interact with goats, ferrets, bearded dragons, baby river otters, a skunk, a hairy armadillo, and baby capybara's. The baby capybaras were so cute and curios. They even sat on our laps for a snack and a cuddle. We would definitely recommend the Capybara Cafe Experience for your entire family. read more

Not really a cafe but a place to interact with Capybaras. Large rodents!! Totally cool experience with very gentle animals. Trust me your 45 year old daughter will love it just like a 5 year old would. Guide was very helpful and knows more about them you will ever need. Do it! Support the Cafe! Great time read more

I hate to post this review. I've been trying to get in touch with these guys for months. They don't respond to emails, they don't respond to Instagram comments. They also have a lot of copyright infringing AI art all over their website so they look like a scam. I was planning to fly in from across the country to see this, and I can't get in touch with anybody. This was very disappointing because this is something that I would like to support, but it appears that management is terrible. read more

This was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The Capybaras alone were worth going. Very relaxed atmosphere, time to take photos and feed them. Learned a lot about them. After a good amount of time we got to see, hold, pet and learn about a wallaby a skunk and a sweet little snake. Small group of people, nice amount of time. We loved it. I see there are other animals so we'll just have to go back. The admission costs go to the animals care, good housing and medical expenses, they are clearly heathy and well. GO!! read more

It's a fun experience. The staff is awesome. The smell wasn't bad at all & went nose blind in about 5min. They were quick like a pit crew when an animal acted like an animal and did their business. We also did the safari experience. Very cool & our hostess was knowledgeable and her enthusiasm for the animals was infectious. read more

Saw that they opened a capybara cafe in America and decided to check it out. It was a bit busy and so we only got to hang out with 2 capybaras. They had no names at the time, but were very cute. There was no actual food, but in most animal cafes, they don't serve food. I will admit that the Capyneko cafe in Japan was my favorite, but I still enjoyed the experience. They also had a lot of little things in the mini gift shop but i'm pretty sure most are bought from Temu . The drinks and snacks are a bit on the overpriced side as well. Nonetheless, I don't regret going. This cafe is to a great start, but I wish they had higher quality things in the gift store. I was hoping it would have something like a wooden carved capybara, little figurines like that. read more

What a unique and fun experience! The staff couldn't be nicer and accommodating. After travel issues made it impossible to keep our reservation, the staff bent over backwards to reschedule our family - staying open later than scheduled just to keep us together. The capybaras were gentle and inquisitive and interacted with all of us equally. We highly recommend the 60 minute "Capybara and Friends" experience. During the 2nd part of our hour we spent time with a skunk, armadillo, 2 ferrets and (for the first time) a wallaby! With time winding down (too soon I might add) a third capybara was brought into the room for some final feedings and a family portrait. Please do yourself (and Noah's Sanctuary) a favor and book a visit as soon as you can - you won't regret it. read more

such a frustrating experience. i made the long drive from tampa, super excited to check this place out. unfortunately, halfway through the trip, a storm rolled in and caused major delays. my booking was for 5:30, but by the time i finally made it through all the rain and traffic, it was closer to 6. i tried calling a few times while driving to explain what was happening--no answer. left a voicemail just hoping someone would understand. when i got there, the doors were open, nobody else around, and i asked if there was any chance i could join a later group since i'd come all that way. the guy working there shut it down immediately. no flexibility, no empathy, just a straight-up no. read more

Capybara interaction and instructor 10/10. Infants allowed in room 0/10. Screaming baby and tugging at the capybaras , the parents thought it was all for them only. Front desk girl was unimpressed with life as a whole so that wasn't a great first impression. I'd go back, because it is after all for the capybara and education. read more

Long and honest review. My husband and I booked this with our 2 year old, really excited about meeting a raccoon friend. I purchased the tickets, then the next day called because I was just worrying about the experience and making sure they would have raccoons, the person that answered said they rarely have the raccoon and that they typically only have a couple of the friends (other than the capys) at a time during the experience. I asked for a refund and she said that wasn't possible, which is frustrating because it was less than 24 hours after I had booked... it was 100$ a piece, our daughter was free. We weren't going to waste it so we came with an open mind and just wanting to have a fun experience. The girl we had as our guide was friendly, but she seemed very much anxious about allowing too much interactions with the animals. We did meet capys, including some in their other room since it was empty. She let us see a snake, my husband got to hold her. We were briefly introduced to flower the skunk but very limited interaction since she has to be held by the associate the whole time. We got to meet Mike the armadillo, adorable guy, but same thing, anytime he got too close or was hanging around she wanted him to turn the other way or not be that interactive. We got to meet Jesse and James the two ferrets which she was even hesitant to allow Jesse down because she was "too crazy". She was only allowed down to run for a few minutes and the girl just seemed overwhelmed by having to redirect constantly. Jesse and James were put back shortly after. My husband asked about the coati mundi as well and she kept saying that that one was too crazy to bring out... but reluctantly she did but she tried holding it the entire time, we didn't really get to touch it and she wanted to put him back almost immediately. The coati did climb down her at one point and was just moving around the room, I honestly didn't see any crazy behavior, aside from him just roaming. The guide just kept saying how crazy he was and she needed to put him up, so she did... there are lots of rules for sure, which I understand safety, but we also did sign a waiver and still had very limited capacity to have a true experience. Plus if you're bringing a smaller child I recommend not. Especially if they are like my child and love animals and want to interact as much as possible, they won't be allowed to. (She was allowed to feed the capys using tongs though!). Pay attention to the wordage on the site the capybaras and friends says "it MAY include" then lists the friends.. I definitely think it's way way way overpriced for what it is. I did like the capys but was expecting to see more and have more time with the other animals plus others listed. I really think the site should have more disclaimers like: "we only bring out a select few animals during your visit, if there's a certain one you'd like to visit, call ahead." And "yes under age 3 is free and they will be able to feed the capys with tongs but aside from that they will be expected to remain in your lap or right next to you with limited interactions" and "this isn't a full hands on experience, some animals we will allow you to see and possible pet their back but we cannot allow further"... for what it was I would not spend 100$ for an hour again and I would not recommend anyone else doing so... read more
