what a great addition to deland to have this cute little cat rescue cafe. they have a small kitten room for the little kitties to separate them from the adults. the kittens are always so cute!! the adult cats are in the main area where there are multiple sections for them to roam. there's always plenty of cutie cats and not too many people so it's not too crowded and you have many cats to play with. there are cute books, toys for the cats, and lots of seating to hangout. it's a small fee of $10-$15 (i forgot the exact amount) for 1h to help keep this business keep rescuing cats!! they have helped adopt out so many and more to come. there's a bathroom for customers to use as well. it's co-located with trilogy cafe which has delicious coffee and brunch/ lunch type foods. love the cafe and staff here! great spot in town. definitely support !! read more

Really enjoyed the vibes here! It's such a cozy, happy space and you can tell all the cats are so well cared for. The staff are kind and attentive, and the whole experience just feels relaxing and fun. Can't wait to visit again -- it'll be even better once Trilogy Coffee is back up and running. Stop by for some kitty love and maybe meet a new friend to welcome to your family. read more

This place is fantastic! The owner clearly cares about the animals. The atmosphere is calm and quiet with lots of ways to entertain both you and the cats while you're there. They do well with small groups in the kitten room. We adopted an older cat from there and it's been a great match. This place is a wonderful spot for people and cats alike! read more

DeLand Cat Cafe - Cats and treat dispenser - Themed Cafes Near Me - DeLand, Florida

A vacation in FL to visit my best friend is not complete without a trip to a Cat Café.. I am a cat lover, as is my best friend! DeLand Cat Café is the purrfect place for cat lovers who wants to spend time with the kitties, but also enjoy a hot or cold beverage from a shop on their property. There are some kittens at this place as well. All of which are super adorable! Of course all the other kitties are super adorable too! The woman who works at DeLand Cat Café - whose name I unfortunately can't seem to remember is a gem. She is approachable, super kind, and professional! In the Cat Café, you'll find a photo album with Polaroid pictures of all the kittens/cats that have been adopted and those are seeking their furever homes. There are some really cool items you can buy too. T-shirts, hoodies, cat ears, keychains, stickers, and so on. Proceeds from purchase go directly to the Cat Café itself. I enjoy support businesses, including small ones. Knowing that the money I spent on souvenirs supports this business makes me so happy! DeLand Cat Café, you most certainly do NOT disappoint! I'll be back in for another visit next time I'm down in Florida! read more

I did not get to enjoy the cafe as it was closed for Reno. They had the cutest set up for these babies. Toys and plenty of entertainment for the cats. My only complaint would be the overwhelming smell of cat poop. I get that you should expect an odor but we had to leave quickly. I think this is an amazing concept though and the cats all looked happy and healthy! We were happy to pay what we did to contribute. read more

My daughter and I love visiting local cat cafés. Deland Cat Cafe did not disappoint. There are two rooms with adult cats. Plenty of places to sit and relax while petting or cuddling with a cat. They are so unique and different. Each with their own personality. We also visited the kitten room and found such joy in their antics. The hostess who greeted us was super nice and told us about a few other cat cafés that we may want to visit. This experience is well worth the entry fee. Plus it's for a fantastic cause. Attached is a Cafe with food but we did not pertake. Maybe on our next visit. read more

I was partnered with someone and fostered 2 feral kittens from July 3rd to 31st. They went to this cafe for adoption. Debbie, the owner agreed to take them 3 days post spay and neuter. When she announced them on Facebook, she had the boy and girl mixed up and said they're bonded. It worried me that she didn't bother to check incisions while they had been in her care 2 days (spay sights should be monitored atleast 7 days). It worried me that she didn't pay enough attention to these kittens to see a shaved rear and thighs on the boy bc unlike the stomach that area is in plain sight. The bonded pair thing had me wanting to talk to the cafe to assure they are not bonded. In the month in my care the male stole all attention and food unless held or seperated. The female enjoyed sleeping alone. They would play as kittens do, but bonded means inseparable. The female will blossom without the male. I have recordings from their time with me to show reasons behind my belief. I called a few times during business hours. The phone never got answered. I sent one message through her website, and followed up a few days later from my email to be sure it was sent. No response. I wanted reassurance these kittens are in good hands. Today, I couldn't see the business facebook page. I got blocked without any response, communication, zilch. I finally got an answer when I called. Instead of answering my questions and reassuring me she cares, she told me she had no reason to respond to me and hung up on me. I have never met her and did not get a chance for a decent conversation. If this is how she treats concerned fosters, I can't imagine how she is with the animals who cannot speak. read more

The DeLand Cat Cafe is next to Trilogy Kitchen/Coffee on New York Avenue. Reservations are required and can be made on their website: www.DeLandcatcafe.com. Admission is $10 and goes towards caring for the cats and keep's adoption fees down. The do not come in contact with any food or beverage preparation or storage areas as the "cafe" portion is completely separate. My husband and I opted to eat brunch at Trilogy Kitchen prior to our visit to the cat cafe (so our hands could be free for cat petting!). My husband is allergic to cats and forgot to take his allergy meds, so we only stayed about 20 minutes but we enjoyed our visit. The kittens are in a separate space and only a few guests are allowed in said space at a time so as to not overwhelm the kitty babies. My husband and I went to all cat and kitten rooms and picked out our favorites. The staff were super helpful and informative and we loved learning where the cats came from, their personalities and how the cat cafe helps find homes for cats in need of a forever place to call their own. We're not quite ready to adopt a cat of our own, but we'll definitely keep coming back to support the DeLand Cat Cafe! read more

The cat part of the cat cafe I give this a 5 because it's a lovely place, so cute inside, like a house not a shelter with cages. The cats were so sweet, loved the attention and were healthy and well cared for. The owner (?) after learning we were just there to pet cats, never said a word to us. Not real personable, I'd have liked to know about the cats, a little about the cafe so on. Anyway, nice place, not sure I'll drive an hour to go back.i hope the kitty's get homes and new kitty's come in to get a chance at a home. We ate at the cafe part too. Lovely staff, super cute cafe, very tasty specialty snacks. Enjoyed it a lot. read more

Such a great experience here. The kitties are well cared for and they even have a separate kitten room. You can book your appointment online, and sign waivers there as well. Seamless and easy! We arrived early and they let us in to sit with the big kitties while we waited for our turn in the kitten room. At the time of our visit, there wasn't a "cafe" open, but that was not the reason for our visit anyway. We wanted to see cats! I'm sure others would enjoy a beverage or pastry, but we were assured that was coming later. A very enjoyable day! read more

DeLand opened their first cat cafe 2 days ago! Admission fee is $10 per adult and $7 per child. Appointments via their website is highly recommended as they are trying to limit the capacity 10 people at a time. However, they will try to accommodate you but you might just have to wait a bit and you will get to go in. Adoption fees goes to the rescue agencies they are partnered with. The cafe portion of the store is opening in 2-3 weeks and they will have breakfast and lunch with Trilogy Coffee Roasting Co. They currently have 14 cats, with 4 cats inside a separate room as they are from a different rescue shelter from the other 10 cats. They have lots of enrichment and space. I cannot wait to come back when the cafe opens. I hope all the cats get adopted and find a forever home! Definitely stop by and say hi to your future pet! read more

This is such a great place! Not far from the popular downtown DeLand area, but has their own parking lot. We just adopted 2 kittens there, and the process was very official yet quite easy (we had just went through a terrible experience trying to adopt from another Cat Cafe in St. Augustine). At 3 months they are already litter trained, neutered/spayed, microchipped, and socialized among other people/cats. They assimilated very well into our home with our family of 3 (my husband, 3 Y/O son, and I); we love them so much already! The lady that worked there answered all our questions and gave great advice. I would definitely recommend this place to visit and/or adopt! As far as the food/drinks: It all looked delicious, but I was way too excited to eat. I would definitely like to go back to try some of their menu items because they certainly looked great. read more

If you want to adopt or just come and hang out with adult and baby cats - this is a place for you! Owners put their heart into this place - come check it out! Trilogy coffee is next door - you can grab great coffee or healthy snack there on your way to play with felines read more

On this day, 5/8/23, the cafe area isn't fully complete but the cats and cat room are ready and available! The rooms have a lot of toys, activities, and nap spots for the kitties to enjoy. All these cats are from the local shelter, and instead of keeping them in cages, they get to have such a warm and amazing environment. People can come, give them treats, pet them, play with them, you name it! A great way to get these cats accustomed to many people, but also lets them be exposed for adoption. A great place, an amazing idea, and such cute kitties. Highly recommend read more

Purrrr-fect place to get a coffee next door from Trilogy and go hang out with some interesting felines while sipping on your beverage! I especially enjoyed the kitten room! The only downside I would say is the bad cat liter smell. It's just not something that can be helped with that many cats, I understand that. I did leave a bit early because of the smell but that won't stop me from coming back! The cats were so well behaved! read more

The service is impeccable--Debbie far exceeds any customer service experience from other cat cafés in Florida. Plenty of cats even with so many successful adoptions since opening. DeLand Cat Cafe is already a great spot and I only see it improving once the Trilogy Café and Eatery opens next door. Give Misty, Jack, and Tai some extra love if you stop in. Very affordable, the most kid-friendly out of all C.C. we have been to so far. Very clean restrooms!! Will definitely be back! read more

very clean and organized. Lots of great kitties to play with worth checking out if you're in the area.

This is a great place. I visited today and they have 13 kittens and five cats. They have been able to place 28 cats within 30 days. What a great record. The eatery next store will be open soon called the Trilogy Kitchen, but the Cat Cafe is open NOW. This is a wonderful idea and I applaud Deland and the owners for making it happen. You come in to see the kittens, cats and buy supplies. There is a kitten room, a cat room and even an area to buy supplies. You can come into make a donation like I did today. I was in and out of a few places today over in Deland and many residents are excited about this. The cats are coming from the Humane Society and other rescue places. Thank you and I will be back. read more
