Staff is very friendly. The facility is newly remodeled (very well btw) and I couldn't even tell there were 20+ cats because it smells so clean and fresh. My wife wanted to go here for her birthday, and she's loving it. I am literally sitting in the cafe playing with cats while writing this

We just spent a heavenly hour loving on the sweetest cats at the Witty Whisker. We were more than happy to pay the $12/person admission fee to go into the immaculately clean cat room, knowing that the proceeds support the work the cafe does to care for and adopt out these lovely pets through their partner rescue. The cats were so sweet and obviously extremely well cared-for. The nice thing about the cat room is that the cats can choose to be in there to socialize or they can leave through a little kitty door to go into a private space away from people. That means that the 10 or so cats available really WANTED human connection! While we didn't eat, we did have fun shopping in their adorable gift shop and my husband - a coffee aficionado- really enjoyed his espresso prepared by the warm and welcoming barista. This was a highlight of our day in St Augustine, and will be on our to-do list for every future visit!

When you visit cafes like this, you are PAYING TO SUPPORT THE CAUSE. Please understand the proceeds from admission price, etc. is to go towards helping, feeding, etc. for these cats. It was a beautiful thing looking at all the plaques they have on the wall with how many cats they've help get adopted! I absolutely love this idea of having a community cat cafe that helps people find their forever fur baby! I highly recommend coming here to support a great local cat rescue cafe!! TIP: BOOK ON THEIR ONLINE WEBSITE!! Ambiance: 10/10 When you walk in, you'll see the cat lounge and all the fur babies, you'll have to check in with the barista to see if they have availability for the cat lounge if you didn't book online. Sometimes the spots fill up pretty quick! There's a big window from the cafe looking into the cat lounge where you can watch the cats. I learned the hard way & didn't book an online reservation so we could not go inside the cat lounge due to it already being fully booked! We decided to hangout in the cafe area, ordered coffees and a few sweets to just enjoy the atmosphere. Food: 10/10 Drinks were great! I ordered a limited time Chocolate Strawberry latte and my husband ordered a mocha latte. Cute homemade sweets were available to purchase, we got a brownie bite and cupcakes which tasted homemade with love! Service: 10/10 Service was great, they were friendly and greeted us with a smile! Even though they broke the bad news to us that we wouldn't be able to go inside the cat lounge, I believe they expected us to be mad or upset because I feel as if people lash out at the employees here due to not getting their way... When I said no worries we'd still like to order coffee, they looked like they had a huge sense of relief off their shoulders which I'm happy I could provide that to them if that was the case.

We popped in with our two kids before we hit the City of Saint Augustine for the day. It's a cute cafe that has a bunch of cats and kittens. It's a $10 donation per person to go into the cat lounge and you can spend as long as you want there. Since we had a lot on the agenda, we spent about an hour there to get our cat fix. You're welcome to get something from the lounge such as coffee, tea, pastries, or something other to drink before entering the cat lounge. The staff went over the rules prior to entering and I went in with my kids while my husband hung in the cafe area. My kids and I were in awe of all of the kittens and cats that were there. There is plenty of play and relax areas for the cats to explore and be entertained. Some of the cats were curious and loved playing with the people that were there. Everyone of all ages will enjoy and have fun there.

It was very clean and well kept up. The coffee was Amazing and the cats were very friendly and playful. I took my two girls and I didn't think I would enjoy it, but I really did and will go back again. There were lots of toys to play with the cats with. Fun times. Sweet Cats!

This was my third visit. This time I included my parents. We had a great time. Will come back again, next time I am in St Augustine.

Amelia was super friendly and gave us great recommendations for us to go to while we're in town visiting! It was super nice to get to spend some time with some furbabies and put some new places on our to-do list!

My husband and I came to St. Augustine for a weekend getaway and I needed some kitty love and The Witty Whisker met my needs for the day! Everyone was so nice and the kitties were the absolute sweetest and friendliest I've met! I fell in love with one tiny black kitty that I wish I could've adopted! Such a cozy set up for cats and humans alike. You can even purchase treats and cat nip to share with them all. Enjoy!

f you love cats this place is a must! It's really not too far from downtown (I would still recommended biking or driving) and is such a relaxing experience. They have a large menu of snacks, coffee and wine! My husband got an americano with almond milk and I got a Cabernet, both delicious! We spent about 2 hours here on a rainy afternoon and it was so cozy and fun. They have so many sweet cats with tons of toys to interact with them. I wanted to take so many home and tbt good news is you can! They offer adoptions at a super reasonable rate. Everyone that works here is so sweet and knows the cats well, it such a pleasure to get insights on the cats personalities. When you enter you first pay a flat fee for entry to the cat area (you can just get drinks and watch the cats from outside their enclosure if you would like) and you can bring your drinks into the play area. 10/10 highly recommend!!!!

Such a cute and relaxing environment to hang out with the cats, even though we have cats at home we've always wanted to experience the cat cafe. My kids absolutely loved the visit we had and how playful some of these cats were yesterday. The coffee is extremely good also. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. You are also able to purchase cat treats which was pretty awesome!!

It's me Scott and the cats.

I guess that's why we sign the waivers! With that said, my kids loved this place. It was nice to hear their giggles and see my 5-year-old son basically get tackled by a caybara trying to get his lettuce. There are other animals in the experience, including a floppy ear bunny, a loud parrot (that bites so don't touch!) and a few other animals. They are great in keeping the kids distracted before the main capybara event. We had a really fun time.

This was not a very enjoyable experience for our party…read more.. My sister has always wanted to see capybara's up close, so this was the perfect experience for her! We fed them lettuce and kale, and were able to pet them. The young lady in the capybara room with us was very knowledgeable and gave us so much information! She was wonderful! What wasn't wonderful was the service for the rest of the visit... we arrived 5 minutes early, yet when we were being taken back to the room with the capybaras, the lady at the front desk told the other employees "yeah. The group that is late." Excuse me? We were on time? They have a little waiting room area with smaller animals such as small bunnies, ferrets, lizards, etc. My party was waiting for me to go to the restroom before we left, so they were looking at those animals in the waiting room. All of a sudden, they were told they need to get out and weren't allowed to be in there... who cares? There was NO ONE ELSE in there at the time... we had just paid $50 PER PERSON for 25 minutes with the capybaras. The LEAST you can do is let us look at the smaller animals for 5 minutes... In our room, there were 11 of us. They made $550 in 25 minutes. With a session every 30 minutes from 11 AM to 4:30 PM, they make roughly $5,000 alone for just the capybara experience. Not to mention the other $50 they charge people who want to see the more exotic animals. Again, the LEAST they could do is let us look at the lizards... We were not impressed with the experience whatsoever, by my sister was able to check off a bucket list item which is all I can ask for.

DeLand Cat Café is the purrfect place for cat lovers who wants to spend time with the kitties, but also enjoy a hot or cold beverage from a shop on their property. There are some kittens at this place as well. All of which are super adorable! Of course all the other kitties are super adorable too! The woman who works at DeLand Cat Café - whose name I unfortunately can't seem to remember is a gem. She is approachable, super kind, and professional! In the Cat Café, you'll find a photo album with Polaroid pictures of all the kittens/cats that have been adopted and those are seeking their furever homes. There are some really cool items you can buy too. T-shirts, hoodies, cat ears, keychains, stickers, and so on. Proceeds from purchase go directly to the Cat Café itself. I enjoy support businesses, including small ones. Knowing that the money I spent on souvenirs supports this business makes me so happy! DeLand Cat Café, you most certainly do NOT disappoint! I'll be back in for another visit next time I'm down in Florida!

When she announced them on Facebook, she had the boy and girl mixed up and said they're bonded. It worried me that she didn't bother to check incisions while they had been in her care 2 days (spay sights should be monitored atleast 7 days). It worried me that she didn't pay enough attention to these kittens to see a shaved rear and thighs on the boy bc unlike the stomach that area is in plain sight. The bonded pair thing had me wanting to talk to the cafe to assure they are not bonded. In the month in my care the male stole all attention and food unless held or seperated. The female enjoyed sleeping alone. They would play as kittens do, but bonded means inseparable. The female will blossom without the male. I have recordings from their time with me to show reasons behind my belief. I called a few times during business hours. The phone never got answered. I sent one message through her website, and followed up a few days later from my email to be sure it was sent. No response. I wanted reassurance these kittens are in good hands. Today, I couldn't see the business facebook page. I got blocked without any response, communication, zilch. I finally got an answer when I called. Instead of answering my questions and reassuring me she cares, she told me she had no reason to respond to me and hung up on me.
