Everything in their display case looked enticing, and staff was friendly and patient as we asked what the individual pastries were, as many had delectable creams or fillings of various flavors. They also serve up ice cream, cookies, and coffee/caffeinated drinks. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which gives off wonderful local cafe vibes. The parking lot is a bit tricky as there's only a one lane entry/exit, so could result in accidents if you and other drivers aren't careful in paying attention. We tried a Santiago orange-chocolate cake slice, an almond croissant, a chocolate chip cookie, and a selection of their 5 mini pastries. These baked treats (5/5) were all excellent in terms of quality, with delicious and satisfying flavors which we really liked. They use fresh and high quality ingredients, so while prices aren't cheap, they are reasonably in line for the quality of baked goods you're purchasing. We also ordered a cappuccino (4/5) which was beautifully presented, but wasn't our favorite among area coffee shops, but still an excellent accompaniment to enjoy their baked goods. We'll definitely be back and would recommend Madrid European Bakery and Patisserie to others. Their list of ice cream flavors looked unique and intriguing, so that only creates a dilemma of which sweet treats you choose to indulge yourself in when visiting.

The cake gallery let us down and forgot about us on our wedding day. We coordinated with Paul months before our event via email as well as phone and paid in advance for our cake to be delivered to Our wedding venue for our reception. The Cake Gallery forgot about us and our coordinator needed to reach out as they were the only vendor of ours who did not follow through. My wife and I missed out on cake cutting pictures and the dessert portion of our reception was non-existent. Paul did not have the courtesy to let us know or apologize to us himself until we gave him a call the following day. Upon attempting to get a refund for their lack of service and performance, Paul was unwilling to refund the full total of our order saying "it was delivered". Yes it was, but 4 hours too late. When the cake arrived it was the wrong flavor, a lemon cake: we did not order a lemon cake. The venue went above and beyond to find a solution but it should not have been up to them, this cake vendor dropped the ball. This vendor created unnecessary stress on our important day and did not perform. To anyone looking for a wedding or special event cake, there are other vendors who are more responsive and will actually show up. I hope this vendor doesn't forget about other weddings in the future as this was an unpleasant experience to say the least. We do not recommend this bakery to anyone and will not be returning with business. read more

I can't believe my last review which I added on 4/18 was actually removed from this business. If i could give negative stars, i would! Worst customer service I have received in quite a long time. They lost the cake topper that was brought in two days before the cake order. We were called the day of the order asking when we were going to bring it in. When we told the owner it was dropped off two days before, we were told it should have been brought in the day of the order (that was different than what we were told). We were told they would call us back after they tried to locate the topper, but never received a phone call back. When we went to pick up the cake, there was a "plastic" white rose on top of a white cake, which we never agreed to. Honestly looked absolutely terrible and was embarrassed bringing the cake into a 80th Birthday lunch. We were never given an opportunity look at other options for the cake. Colors were not what were agreed upon either. They took it upon themselves to make decisions on a cake that we were paying for. Be very careful when ordering a cake from here. If you know what you want, be prepared it will be different once the order is complete. read more

This is in response to Faye B. As this is the only way I can apparently give my side. She left the order with Tony . Tony told her to send me the picture to my email. She never did. I called her 3 times the morning I was making her cake when I tried to look up the photo on my email, she never answered and her mailbox was full. There are hearts on the side of the cake because hearts were on the order but I wasn't able to contact her to see the photo and the precise placement of the hearts, so I made something pretty, and her saying it was dry is absolutely false... why did she never bring me a piece of it the next day. This review is the first I hear of this. People need to take some responsibility when they don't give full visual details to me, when the details are apparently so important to you. read more

The person I was buying a birthday cake for does not particularly like cake so I wasn't quite sure what to get. They do sell the large frosted cookies, but I wasn't sure that was quite right. Then I saw it. Tiramisu! A great big round Tiramisu cake! Yes! We stuck some candles in there, sang happy birthday and cut it along the lady fingers around the edge.
