Great location, decent parking in the private lot but limited. Friendly welcoming staff. I tried the BBQ burger. It was OK I asked for a medium cook and it was more on the well side. Many ingredients on the burger but not much flavor in the patty. Fries were cooked well with good flavor. Food came out hot and quick. Elvis boozy milkshake was good. If you like chocolate peanut butter and cognac you'll enjoy this shake. Be ready for the pretzel bites throughout. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating, nice full bar, tvs and fans throughout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wings recently added to the menu looked good from afar. Willing to give them another try and try a different burger on the menu. I do appreciate their reward point system.

    Cooked to perfection.

Was looking for BBQ but all the lines were crazy long. At the stop light made a spontaneous burger decision. The Burger joint was a great choice. I had a bacon burger with pepper jack, arugula, jalapeños, and special sauce. It was fantastic. The onion rings and the sweet potato fries were also great and cooked a perfect perfection. The beer selection was spot on. couldn't ask for a better burger joint.

Took the boys here to watch them inhale burgers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute set up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Large well dressed burgers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All outdoor seating which was dry even in torrential rain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Walk up and order.

I love that between both Burger Joint's there is consistency in taste, so I can go to the Montrose Location or the Heights Location and know I'll have my craving fulfilled. I also love that I can recommend them to friends and I'll know that due to the consistent taste- they'll be in for a good time. This location has plenty of parking- woohoo- and really nice servers/order takers! Seriously the guy taking our order was so incredibly helpful and ensured that even though I was making a lot of substitutions, he got them right and even reassured me that he himself is that picky, haha! It's just nice to be seen and not get an eye roll, but I like what I like! Also the service is quick but never at the expense of fresh food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating indoors and out, and great food and folks![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What more could one want.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Out of all the Burger Joints in Houston, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this place is the best both in terms of consistency and atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Workers there are always exceptionally nice, I have yet to have any issues with any of my orders, and in always left content with my food. My only gripe is the same gripe I have with other locations though, and it's that the vegetarian patty leaves a lot to be desired. I do think their impossible party is solid, but at a $5 surcharge it's hard for me to rationalize paying for it.

I really enjoy Burger Joint, but I was super disappointed with my recent Nashville chicken sandwich. While I absolutely loved the crunch, it was overly salty. So much so, that I just tasted salt & no heat. If you have a salt sensitivity, I definitely would avoid. I probably should have asked a manager if all of that salt was in the seasoning or if perhaps they salt afterwards & someone went overboard. Had it been the latter, they probably would have made me another one. They have excellent customer service. I'm sure that my sandwich had more than a day's suggested sodium intake if that's an issue for you.

I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I honestly would not recommend The Burger Joint based on my experience. I'm a bit surprised by how popular it is. I ordered the BBQ burger to-go, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst burgers I've had. It lacked flavor and tasted almost like it had been reheated. The bun and overall burger were extremely soggy, so much so that it felt like it had been drenched in liquid. The vegetables were also off in texture, almost stringy, which made the whole thing even less enjoyable. The fries were just okay but leaned toward soggy and greasy as well. The chicken tenders were decent, nothing special. Service was fine, but it does get very busy, and the line builds up quickly. On a positive note, the milkshake was definitely the highlight. It was thick and flavorful, honestly the best part of the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is also nice, especially for a late-night spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm giving 2 stars mainly because of the milkshake. Everything else was pretty disappointing. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but based on this visit, I'd only come back for the shakes.

Stopped in for a quick burger this evening since it was cool evening in Houston. Sat at the bar. Quick and attentive service. The bartender actually was polite and told his opinion which I great appreciated. I got the Opa burger medium which was great. The feel was causal and simple. Just like a burger joint should be. Overall honestly the kids cheeseburger and fries is plenty for even an adult.

Pretty good location for a quick meeting with my friend. He recommended The Burger Joint in the Heights neighborhood. This was my first time here. There were many good things about this place. It shares a parking lot with The Taco Stand and The Pizza Place (coming soon). Today was a rainy day. There were many puddles in the lot, including the ramp to get here. The ordering counter is located deep in the restaurant and outdoor seating area is wrapped around the indoor space. Because of rain, the actual outdoor seating became limited. But we still found a comfortable seat. The service was decent. Since I don't eat meat and cheese, my choice is limited to veggie burger. My friend had a fire burger. The cashier recommended fire with plant-based patty. I was against that idea because that would send me to the emergency room with the heat. Hahaha I also ordered an order of Queso Fries with cheese sauce on the side. I love the freshly cut fries taste. Overall, we had a good experience.

Came here for lunch and had a great meal. The staff was super friendly and were able to tell me about modifications they can make to burgers for dietary needs. I was excited to find out that they had gluten free buns! I ordered the Kimchi burger with sweet potato fries and got a beef patty for my little one. We did wait a little for our food but it was worth the wait. The kimchi burger was the best mix of savory, sweet, sour and umami flavors. They have fantastic sweet potato fries and we enjoyed their different ketchups. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have great options for indoor and outdoor seating and lots of TVs around so you can catch the game.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do have a full bar and specialty drinks so I cant wait to come try more of the menus. Parking may be a little tricky but you can park in the lot across the street.

I really wanted to give this place 4 or 5 stars but after eating there I just couldn't. First of all the vibes are perfect. I love the atmosphere of this place. The music was on point and created a nice, enjoyable, and fun background for our dinner. The staff was very nice, helpful and attentive. The food... the burger was cooked a perfect medium. The burger was constructed nicely, buns were good, nice ratio of meat to bun to toppings etc BUT they had ZERO seasoning. It was the most boring and bland burger I've ever had. The only flavor was from the onions. It was disappointing because I really like the vibes and would absolutely come back. I'm hoping it was an off night. I would be open to coming back again though.

Ask the Community - The Burger Joint - Heights

    Where is parking?

There is a ton of parking. They have a lot that they share with the Taco Stand, which they own. Plus, they have more parking on a vacant lot right next to their lot.

Do the ask for ID to eat something?

    No they don't

Saw a picture of a dog on ig at the burger joint I'm guessing it's pets allowed!?

Yes pets are allowed on the outside patio.

To start off with a positive, I thought the falafel patty had a really great taste and was absolutely the highlight of the burger. But outside of that the burger and the toppings I ordered just didn't work as well as I would've liked. I ordered my burger with mushrooms and sauteed onions, both toppings I know I absolutely love from making burgers at home and from other spots, but neither added much. At first I was worried that the falafel was overpowering them both but upon eating them by themselves they just lacked taste. We also got the scallion aioli on the burger and I never got a hint of it at any point. All in all, the burger was very much mediocre outside of the patty. We also got fries with the burger and while they absolutely had some potential they were extremely over seasoned. Any appreciation for the seasonings in a vacuum was immediately overshadowed by how salty they were. We also ordered the Sambal Mayo as a dipping sauce and while it did help subdue the insane salt level and overall tasted quite good, upon writing this review I found out by looking at their online menu that it contained some amount of shrimp. This information is nowhere to be seen on the ordering slip and wasn't mentioned when I handed it over to the person working at the cash register. And while I definitely accept some level of responsibility for not doing my due diligence and asking or letting them know of my dietary restrictions, it's still an extremely frustrating thing to have happen as both a vegetarian and someone with a mild shellfish allergy. If for whatever reason the online menu is out of date or I missed an obvious indication of it containing shrimp somewhere I am more than happy to edit my review.
