So the Mr was in the mood for chili cheese dogs and had googled places that sell them near us and this place popped up. We initially thought it was a brick and mortar but soon realized that it was a food truck. The menu is pretty basic smash burgers, a few different chili dog options and loades fries. We stepped up to the kiosk in front ordered the chili cheese dog, loaded fries, and double smash burger combo person at window said it would be about 10-15 minutes it actually turned out to be 30+ minutes, they were getting constant pick up orders so we thought this place has to be good. We got our food and decided to eat there. Our food was lukewarm(very disappointing) the burger wasn't seasoned well (I would assume they rely on their special sauce) the fries were somewhat soggy. The loaded fries were actually hot. The chili was mediocre. We had sat there eating and the manager/owner walked out and asked how was it we told him it was cold and handed him the whole burger I wasn't going to eat and he apologized and made me a new one and said they had got bombarded he was very apologetic. The new HOT burger was better still not alot of seasoning though. We won't be in a rush to go back but we are willing to give it another go solely on customer service and the willingness to make it RIGHT. They were getting alot of business though..

Elote dog with fries

Came here for grabbing a quick lunch on a Friday, when I didn't see much else in the area I wanted to go to when I was in the area. Ordering was at one of the few kiosks at the Blodgett Food Hall. I actually picked Mad Dogs out of the maybe 20 "restaurants", because I didn't feel like having the other ones today. I picked the $12 specials with the Elote dog with a spicy sausage and fries (turned out to be just saving a few taps, no price difference if order separately, in case you need a different side). My order was ready in less than 10 mins, so it's fast food. A lady called for my name and the food was handed to me at the window. I sat at one of the high table and ate my meal. Presentation was nice, I guess it's made for pictures, but cameras don't eat, I do. The hot dog was sliced on top but not all the way, and stuffed with elote corn. A lot of the corn just fell out when I was eating. I'd suggest to have the hot dog slice all the way so it could hold the corn better. I did not taste any spiciness in my hot dog at all - not sure if the spicy hot dog is just mild, or they gave me the wrong one. Anyways, fries. It's crispy and decent, but it's the quantity in a small Burger King fries. As a whole, not a big meal (i.e. if I'm really hungry I would have to order an extra fries or hot dog). I can definitely see how the meal may go south if I ordered to-go/delivery and the food had to wait for a half hour. Overall, OK price for the amount of tasty food I was getting.

Overall horrible. I try hard not to write negative reviews but they truly earned this. Low quality food, horrible service, NEVER again would I return. Highly disappointed.

the burger was mid overall. the taste was ok. the quality of the ingredients is not very impressive. the cost for portion size is high.

10/10 idk why everyone saying it suck's. The mad dog with the spicy link is my favorite

The dining room is chic and feels very upscale but comfortable with a large open fire kitchen that was really fun to watch while dining. They were very on top of service with both our dining captain and waiter checking on us throughout the evening. For appetizers we ordered the deviled crabs, tuna tostada and wood roasted carrots. All were great but I especially loved the carrots which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. For my main course I had the chicken and dumplings, husband got the NY strip, our friends shared the whole fish and we had the cabbage and crab rice as sides. Everyone was very happy with both their main courses and the side dishes. We were too stuffed to order dessert but they sent out a s'mores inspired sunday for my birthday which was both thoughtful and sublime. Overall we were very impressed with our meal. Food was delicious but veeeery indulgent. We will be back.

We were greeted by three different people - one that took our drink order, one that cleared our plates, and one that took our order. All were very nice people and gave excellent service! I forgot their names unfortunately. My receipt said Zachary but not sure which waiter that was. Between me and hubs, we had a Pan de campo, an order of Gulf Oysters "casino", (4) dressed oysters, a 16 oz dry aged ribeye, a snapper entree and a side of crab fried rice. We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. Hubs had their "classic" old fashioned which he said was excellent! Overall, highly recommended if you don't mind the splurge or for a special occasion!

We have never had a single day of bad service here so we have become regulars anytime we travel into the inner loop of Houston for business or fun. The flavors? My goodness the flavor here in every dish truly speaks to whoever is cooking these incredible dishes! We've even wanted to ask what we can do to even get our dishes at home this amazing! Their bang bang sauce is something you can rave about if you like a little kick to your broccoli. Yum! Luckily a lot of the appetizers are family style but we all still end up battling to finish the last bite before our main dish comes along! I'd say the crab puffs were the highlight of our meal but our entrees were pretty great and the portions here are huge. With this being said, I'd definitely come back to try other items.

He ended up being one of the best aspects of our experience that evening. Our waitress wasn't nearly as good. We started by asking for ice in the water from the waitress since they just give you room temp water. After 10 mins of seeing her serve other tables and ignoring our request, we then figured the water boy would make it happen...and sure enough he did. We then ordered the grilled oysters, which are very lightly cooked, almost seemingly steamed more than anything, but they were very good regardless of the cooking method with the sauces and garnishes and pickle juice added. Next up was ordering the entrees. The menu here is a little strange with numerous vegan choices with strange titles and only a few items with protein. To top it off, there are not many choices period. The waitress explained that the left side is basically the apps, and the right side is basically the entrees. I knew I wanted to try the wagyu flat iron steak which is priced pretty high here, compared to other wagyu flat irons I've had at other restaurants across the US. We couldn't really decide on a 2nd main dish then the waitress mentioned the off the menu special which was a scallop pasta so we picked that thinking it sounded delicious. The entrees come out about 15 mins later, and we take our first bites and we both thought, oh no, if we share the other person across from me isn't going to like this dish because it's too salty. I tried the steak first and noticed the sauce being extra salty, then I tried the pasta and the pasta was way worse, but the scallops didn't seem to be affected. We immediately told the waitress the next time she stopped by....and she just said okay, and walked away. I figured she would go get the manager....but nope...she just kept on serving other tables. At this point we thought to ourselves only the oyster app was decent.....and no reason to look at the dessert menu since we had already spent over $100 on food we could hardly eat. Sure enough, the waitress stops by a 2nd time and asks if we'd like to see the dessert menu. I couldn't leave fast enough and told her we'll skip. Needless to say we both left hungry as the portions were not only not edible, but also fairly small. The water boy also stopped by and offered to turn on the heater if we get cold. Boy, I wish he was our waiter instead. For a supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant, I feel they really got this one wrong.

Food: - Chicken liver pate: 10/10 SOOOO good! The bread that comes with it is amazing too. There is some sweet jam that is paired with it also. It doesn't overpower the main pate flavor, but I could probably do without the sweetness. - Pressed leeks: 10/10 I haven't had leeks too often in my life but this was really good! The sauce that they put it on pairs so well with it and really makes the dish. Must try even if you think you don't like leeks. - Venison tartare: my husband loves tartare and mustard so he loved this dish. I despise mustard and am lukewarm on tartare. The mustard taste was so strong. I hated this dish but I'm also not a good critic for it, so no rating from me. - Pappardelle: 7/10 Simple and classic. Not worth getting on your first visit but a nice dish on its own. - Butternut squash: 8/10 I can't remember much about this dish except that I enjoyed it :) - Pork collar Milanese: 9/10 Like a much better version of a schnitzel - Dumplings: 9/10 Just read the description on the menu and you know it's gonna be good. Ricotta? Brown butter? Yup amazing! Creamy, delicate, but not just a big mush that makes me want to gag. - Lamb ribs: 9/10 Nicely smoked, all around good balanced flavor - Wagyu bavette: 10/10 So good! Tender and juicy. But at this point in the meal, I'm usually pretty stuffed and the portion size is pretty decent. I would enjoy it even more if we didn't always order so many other small plates haha - Mushrooms: 9/10 Mushroom haters, please try this! You may change your mind! It changed my friend's mind that also doesn't like mushrooms. Service: - Always a good time. Checks in but not overbearing. Ambiance is slightly upscale but still relaxed. Doesn't feel uppity. - One time, we got free dessert. We were the last party in there so they probably just wanted to get rid of it. The cookie was so good! I've also been for brunch but have since forgotten what we've ordered. I just remember enjoying it a lot more than expected. Can't wait to go back again!
