An all beef hotdog, caramelized onions, fried onions, honey mayo, Yoyo's hot sauce, and cream cheese. Unfortunately, it really fell short for me. The one positive was that everything, down to the bun, tasted fresh. However, overall, the flavours just didn't work for me. There was a lot going on and the combination felt a little too busy rather than well balanced. That said, I can absolutely see why people enjoy it. The service was prompt and friendly and the area seemed clean. The price point also felt pretty reasonable for a hotdog with this many toppings. Perhaps this late night staple would hit different after a few drinks but once was enough for me. Still, I'd recommend giving it a try if you're visiting Houston, especially since it's such an iconic late night Houston eat.

Yes. It's just a hot dog. But damn, it's a good hot dog…read more Admittedly, I avoided Yoyo's the cart for years, namely because I had hard time justifying an $8 hot dog that I would need to wait 40 minutes just to sniff. The wait is a non-factor at this location in POST Market (#1), which happens to be one of the best food stalls in their star studded lineup. The menu is literally just the hot dog and it's breakdown of ingredients. There are a few drink options on the menu from soda to lemonade, but that's it. It's a simple menu and I'm all for it. The hotdog ($8) was described to me by their hypeman behind the counter: "It will change your life." An excellent slogan indeed. The all-beef hot dog is sliced and grilled and topped with a combination of onions (fried + caramelized) with many drizzles of honey mayo, yoyo's hot sauce, and layer of cream cheese. It doesn't sound like something that works well together, but it does. The end result is that I want more than one, perhaps 2 or 3 in a sitting. The hot dog didn't change my life, but I now appreciate life more because of it. __________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/post-market-houston

My husband and I have been eating here since 2021 and on a way-more-regular-basis than I'd like to admit (lol!), so we definitely noticed when the staff changed. His attitude is always uplifting and he never gets annoyed with all the substitutions we make to our dogs since we are vegetarian. He's also very attentive and does a great job of taking care of us as well as the other restaurant patrons. We love his energy and always leave this place feeling better than when we first entered. Thanks for being amazing, Terry! We appreciate you and we'll be back to see you again very soon!

I swear the Bulgogi Fries were screaming my name, though. Yoyo's Hotdog - Yoyo--YO. This thing slaps. I definitely craved a Coke or a beer while eating this because that salt kicks your taste buds' *ss. The caramelized onions paired with the crunchy onions were a double whammy that could topple a few hot dog title holders. The real winner, though, was the sauce--definitely something Asian-inspired. But hey, I'm running on five hours of sleep, and that's the best my smooth brain could come up with to describe the experience. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

I got their famous hotdog with spicy mayo, french onion, sautéed onions, and hot sauce. (That's how it comes standard) don't get me wrong it's definitely a lot going on from the flavors and the messiness of the dog, but the flavors balance out very well and the all beef hot dog is delicious. There's no spice from the mayo or hot sauce so if you don't like spice you'll be fine. I also tried their bulgogi fries which came with bulgogi meat, jalepenos, cheese and cilantro. My first reaction was it was delicious but it wouldn't be something I would get again, but after I kept eating it I realized this is actually really good and now when I go back I'll definitely try it again. The first thing is the corn, which in this case is elote (on the cob) or elote en vaso (#2), which is served in a syrofoam cup. The condiments are self serve, so the toppings are as up to the customer. I personally likes of lime, cotija chese, chile powder, and a nice slab of butter. Some of my corn pieces in both the cob and cup version were a tinge dry, but it was enjoyable as a whole. Their Mexican style hot dog is likely the best thing they have. Wrapped in bacon and decked out in a myriad of peppers, onions, jalapeños, tomatoes, and sauces, it is a hefty dog for less than $5. There is a smaller sausage version for kids, but it's rarely available. They also have fajita tacos for $2 each. There are no other meats available, but the portions are very generous. Sadly, the tacos were average at best and the salsa verde was underwhelming. i also didn't appreciate the old limes that were just thrown into the bag without being separated in its own.
