Our fellow convention buddies had been here or were going. We made out way over and sat right down. After perusing the very simple menu we ordered. Donna was a server (she is a pistol) and took very good care of us. She brought us water and coffee within a few minutes of sitting down. We all (the four of us) had the regular fare. Eggs, toast, bagels, pancakes...etc... It just took a few minutes to be served our breakfast and it was all really good and tasty. All served at a very reasonable price. I truly enjoyed the food and really rustic venue. Everywhere we looked someone would say; "I had that," or "I still use that." All these old practical household items. It made for a fun experience. You don't see a lot of breakfast place that serves great coffee. Usually it's just your good old brewed coffee. Lots of options here. Cappuccino, lattes, red eye, espresso and more. As the line to the register was busy, we opted to sit and order from the table. I ordered chicken and waffles, and my brother ordered a farmhouse burger and fries. The waffle was average but cooked nicely. The chicken was nice and crispy to hold up to some syrup over top. My brother's burger looked good, and I tried one of his fries. They were thin but not overcooked. Very tasty. The servers who brought the food to the tables were very friendly. I would definitely come back again when in the area.

Their menu has what you'd expect from a classic diner, prices are cheap, and service is quick! We got the Country Style Eggs and Patty Melt. Both lacked basic seasonings like salt & pepper. If I was rating off the food alone, I'd give it a 3/5. The home fries in the Country Style Eggs could've been crispier and adding hot sauce definitely saved this a bit. The biscuit we got with it was homemade and so delicious. It was warm, buttery, and satisfying. The Patty Melt was a bit dry and desperately needed a sauce. I used ketchup and asked for pickles which helped. The rye bread was surprisingly not dry and grilled nicely with butter. It was definitely a heavy meal but we needed it after a long drive. It's not the kind of place where you'll have an amazing meal but it'll do the job at a super affordable price.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with cheddar cheese. The burger was more rare than medium. The cheese was shredded cheese instead of a slice of cheese which is ok but being piled up in the middle and hardly any on the side doesn't give a great flavor on each bite. They do have malt vinegar so the fries were good. My wife got a turkey deli sandwich and sweet tea. The tea was not good. Everything else was good. Not sure if we will try this place again.
