My dad's Baked Brie Burger was delicious--the fig jam paired perfectly with it, and the waffle fries were fried to perfection. I ordered the Mr. Beautiful Burger, which tasted great at first. Unfortunately, I felt VERY sick almost immediately after eating. I can't say for certain what caused it, but since my dad didn't try my burger and felt fine after his meal, I suspect mine may not have been cooked properly. They don't take themselves too seriously, but the food was absolutely delicious and refreshing. One thing that makes Buoys unique is that there is one seating each evening with a fixed menu. Everyone is there for the same experience, enjoying the exact same meal together. I really loved that. We were given buckets of ice for our wine, and we were off to the races. The meal was a good mixture of shared dishes and individual entrées, which really fit the atmosphere. They don't alter the food for anyone's preferences. We had a food allergy in our group, so I reached out ahead of time. They were accommodating for the most part and very nice about it. Today, I was deliberately fooled by the Buoys staff and I am extremely displeased by an establishment that typically delivers. I will be taking my hard earned dollars elsewhere going forward. We asked the waitress for a to-go box for our leftovers(6 slices of pizza and several wings)and the manager returned to our table to tell us "the specials are for dine in only, not for to go orders". HOW UNPROFESSIONAL AND RIDICULOUS this was. We sat at our table for over an hour and waited patiently for our cold food to arrive only to be berated and embarrassed by this "manager". We had food we paid for that we simply didn't finish eating and took it to go. This is commonplace at ANY DECENT establishment.
