My husband and I heard so many good things about this place. We were really looking forward to it. The young man at the front was very sweet. But once seated we were treated with awkward stares and nothing. After sitting there on our phones for 10 minutes we decided to leave. I will definitely be going back to The Breakfast Place. Our server, Taylor, was wonderful - friendly and attentive. The place was packed but we were seated quickly and our food was out quicker than I would have expected based on the number of people seated before and after us. The food was excellent. I ordered the chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and jalapeño toast. The gravy on the chicken fried steak was just like my grandmothers. I couldn't finish my food. Rudest waitress!!! I am a big breakfast lover and my husband recommended this place for brunch I was super excited that it was closer to home. My sister, niece and I shared their French Toast which was delicious. As our food was brought out to us, a gentleman came in looking for his wedding ring that he lost in the booth we were sitting in. The waitress that was helping him came to ya and asked if we had seen the wedding ring. We all responded No and proceeded to look for the ring. The waitress then said, you guys didn't take, it did you? I was shocked!!! Never have I ever been accused of taking something that didn't belong to me. I asked her, why would I need a ring for? What kind of questions is that? Do you know me? Why would you assume that I would take this man's ring. Her response was it's a wedding ring. My sister told her that her accusations are very offensive and disrespectful. We got up so he can look all around the booth with no luck. Then he remembered that he went to a massage place and he probably dropped it there and left. The waitress didn't even apologize. I lost my appetite. We spoke with the manager about teaching their waitresses on common courtesy. The manager was shocked that her waitress made that comment. After seeing the reviews for The Breakfast Place, my husband and i stopped in for breakfast. It sounded like the kind of "hidden gem" we love to find. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and invited to sit wherever we wanted. We chose a booth, and noticed that the brown tablecloth was dirty, and had some food stains. The creamer for the coffee was French Vanilla, not our favorite, but okay. My husband had the steak and eggs, and I had French Toast with a side of bacon and hash browns (it comes with bacon, the hash browns were ala carte). The steak was cooked wonderfully medium, according to my husband. The French Toast was awesome, as someone earlier said, better than IHOP. The food is five star, the staff is friendly, but the three star overall is for the dirty tablecloth and French vanilla creamer. Will we go back? I say "yes", we will. read more

This is a great breakfast spot! I would choose it over IHOP any day. Upon entering the restaurant customers are greeted with a TEXAS size Good Morning! It was great and refreshing it actually took me by surprise. The food is delicious! Pancakes taste homemade. My eggs were perfect I ordered over easy eggs with sausage and grits. Grits were nice and smooth the way grits should be made. The portions are hearty after eating this breakfast definitely count on taking a nap lol and eating a very late lunch if any lunch at all. The pieces of Canadian bacon were kind of tough and the hollandaise tasted like it was from a jar. The French toast however was really good! It was very light but cooked perfectly. I eat here a couple of times a week. Good people, staff is always polite and efficient. The food is always fast to the table and of good quality. I've never had to ask for a coffee or drink refill.
