Food took over an hour to come out and was cold and gross. Things missing from order and didn't compensate!

Ordered the sausage and pear salad without the sausage. Hung out for a bit and my order was ready. My salad was beautiful! I got a huge container of fresh greens. It was garnished with a hearty amount of goat cheese and pear. I appreciate that they give me a good amount of salad dressing. My salad mix was so fresh. The greens were so crisp. The goat cheese was buttery and added a creaminess to the salad. The pear was perfectly ripe. It wasn't too soft or too hard. The salad dressing was sweet and was a nice addition to the salad. I was surprised at how much came in my bowl. I ate at it a couple times and still have half left over. Going down the menu list and I have enjoyed everything so far. I love that they use fresh and clean ingredients. Looking forward to coming back and trying other items off their menu.

Inside is homey and has a nice rustic, woodsy yet modern, edgy style. This isn't your average pizza joint...It's a special little nook of heaven. Ordered a medium cheese pizza with sausage, extremely twisted sticks, kickin' chicken (chicken marinated in a spicy ginger Thai sauce, peanuts, green onions, Swiss, Fontina, fresh cilantro, mozzarella, peanut sauce and shredded carrots) and a small baseline garden salad with ranch dressing. Baseline came out first and was a very generous size for a small. Every ingredient, the tomatoes, onions, lettuce, carrots and croutons were fresh and crafted to perfection. The ranch was a nice texture and flavor. Next came the Extreme Twisted Sticks, cheese sticks with marinara. Only downside is that the marinara was cold, but the twists were nicely baked with ooey-gooey cheese inside. Next came the pizzas. Each pizza had a nice thin-ish crust, crispy and nicely salted, with generous toppings on each slice. You can tell that the people who make these items care about what goes out to the customer. We loved our time there and even our friends from New York said that they loved this pizza...and that says a lot! We can't wait to go back.

Bittercreek provided me with just what I needed today. Warm and inviting service and a terrific selection of food and beverages for me to enjoy. Dined alone at the bar and everyone that I came into contact with did what I expect. Timely greet and informative service personnel. Hats off to the whole team. Was talked into a Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley and it was spectacular. I usually stick to Willamette Valley reds but went for it after a tiny taste. It's what I needed but didn't know it until it was offered. Too many times I stick to my wheelhouse and don't stray but was coerced by someone who I assumed was the inhouse shotcaller. I had two glasses and it went well with the Bowl of Corn Chowder I was told about. Served hot and with some semi crusty sourdough that hit the spot. Finished every spoonful and it brought me back to my time in New England. The soup was done right for sure. Noone trying too hard which is an issue when trying to recreate a coastal favorite while land locked in the mountain state of Idaho. Right before I had.my second glass of Chardonnay, I asked "the front of the house shot caller" about the selection of Rums and was offered a taste of one that could have been a contender for my follow up beverage. No mixer needed. Would have made a great sipper, as most good rums can be but I elected for the second glass of Chardonnay. Glad that I did. Was feeling a bit buzzed and full from my meal and had to exit stage left before trying a dessert. I'm sure it would have been epic but I'm thin for a reason and don't overindulge. Thank you Bittercreek! My visit with you all made me wonder why I hadn't been in since 2006 or 2007. I'll, certainly, be visitong more often and will bring others with. You've got a fan in me!

It has a nice ambience. Inside are a combination of booths, half booths, low and bar height tables, dark wood, with a nice semi-circular bar with a nice, semi-circular metal decoration that was filled with artificial plants, wine bottles, and small kegs. There was a wine rack accent wall on the right. It is located in downtown Boise at the corner of Idaho and 8th St along restaurant row. Our server was Matthew B, and while he was a nice guy, he did not provide good service. It took him a while to get to our table, then after we ordered drinks, it took too long to get them. We then ordered appetizers but he didn't take our dinner orders. We waited too long for the appetizers, and then we ordered our dinners, which also took a while to come out. Runners brought our food out, not Matthew. He did not to refill the women's sodas, we had to ask. He did bring another glass of wine to one of the men, but that was because he was signaled. He did not ask the other people that ordered beer and cocktails if they wanted another. We never had our water glasses refilled. We told him about the birthday celebration, and all he said was, if we ordered dessert, he would put a candle on it. What? Most places serve a complimentary dessert for a birthday celebration. He also took too long to bring us our checks. We're all good tippers. We gave him 15%; he didn't deserve it. The food was OK, not spectacular, but overpriced. As far as the apetizers, the asparagus fries were not that flavorful, though nicely crusted. The cauliflower was just OK, likewise the chicken wings. I did like the honey and balsamic grilled brussel sprouts. Speaking for my wife and I, she liked the BAM Sammy. The side salad was average. I ordered the Urban Burger. While the patty was cooked well, it was small. I can get a bigger, better burger that costs less at any number of restaurants we frequent, including a few near us (we live in Star). I did like the fries. Crispy, with I believe Parmesan cheese coating them. My friend said his smoked salmon salad was just OK. We found it very loud, and difficult to hear each other in conversation. Needless to say, we have no plans to return to Fork.

With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.

We were greeted warmly and, thanks to our reservation, were seated right away. The ambiance was exactly what you'd hope for in a fine dining establishment: warm, inviting, and dimly lit. To top it off, there was a live jazz band playing, which provided the perfect sophisticated backdrop for our evening. Our waiter, Mark, was exceptional. He greeted us warmly and already knew we were there for a birthday. He walked us through the water options and provided excellent wine service for my fiancee's Washington Syrah, ensuring she tasted it first to make sure it was to her liking. The Food: Bread Service: Do not skip this! The house-made sourdough and French bread were served warm. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved the olive tapenade that came alongside the whipped butter. The Filet Mignon: My fiancee ordered the 10oz True West Prime NW Filet (medium-rare). It was exactly as expected: juicy, delicious, and finished with a slight char on the edges that we both loved. The Prix Fixe Menu: I opted for the 3-course meal. The Wedge Salad was crisp, and the Braised Bone-in Short Rib was incredible. The meat literally fell off the bone at the slightest touch of my fork. It was served over a parmesan risotto that was equally delicious. The "Chocolate Bomb": For the birthday dessert, they brought out a chocolate lava cake with freshly whipped cream and a hot fudge drizzle. It was the perfect ending to the night. Final Thought: Be prepared to pay a premium for the food and atmosphere, as this is definitely not a cheap meal. However, for a special occasion where you want world-class service, live music, and perfectly cooked steak, Chandlers is well worth the investment.

The Firerock entree is a crowd pleaser, and tastes amazing. You can't beat the experience of it getting flambéed at your table. I've also tried various cocktails and have never been disappointed. Reservations are strongly recommended especially the weekend, but usually for the nicer months, most people go for the patio so reservations are mandatory for that. Indoors were pretty empty so you can probably get away with walking in, but for peace of mind, I would recommend a reservation. We went on a Saturday during mid May so people were celebrating Mother's Day and graduation, so we had to make a reservation a month in advance for that dinner service. We got the BBQ duck quesadilla, tableside guacamole, and the signature hot rock filet with a side of zucchini chips sprinkled with cheese. This was more than enough for 2 people as every dish is huge. The quesadilla is delicious, with a good amount of duck. Kind of similar experience to a BBQ chicken quesadilla, but fancier. Tableside guacamole is good - lots of guac but since we were seated outside with a beautiful lake view directly, there were steps so it was not possible to see the guacamole prepared tableside. The server should have mentioned it as we wanted to see the preparation, and we were never informed as such so the premium for the appetizer was not as worthwhile. The hot rock filet was good. I loved the fire show when they pour the mix of cognac peppercorn sauce. The steak was incredibly high quality - really juicy and not much tendon. This is the type of steak I have been seeking in many restaurants that fail to deliver. The zucchini chips side was good, a little flimsy on the batter, but nonetheless satisfying. We got cocktails that were icetinis - a glass with an ice shaped like the glass. They pour a small portion of the drink on the glass and left the rest in the cocktail shaker for us to pour gradually so that the drink is not as diluted, which is a good touch. Service can be improved - I understand the server is fairly new but there should be a minimal amount of experience to serve at such a high end restaurant? Some big misses I had were not giving shared plates until we asked, covering a bit of the show with the arm when pouring the fire cognac, and when requesting the check, he took a pause to place the receipt at the table but failed to see that he placed the check on top of some guac we dropped at the table so my credit cards after payment were incredibly sticky and oily. If people are dropping hundreds for a nice experience, I expected service to be better than that.
