So cute! In business since 1978 and looks like it is true to its (probably crunchy/health food/hippie?) roots. The shop even SMELLS delicious as soon as you walk in, which the super nice counter worker assured me was because of the bread. And there is a great selection of breads and meats. Such a cute sandwich shop. It was packed when we went in. Everywhere was, but they were delicious we got salads, and sandwiches in our party and everyone was happy with their choices. Road trip! Stumbled across this on yelp and the reviews brought us in. I am Attaching menu photos as not being able to see them was the only reason we almost passed this place up. Lots of parking - was able to easily find a place to park our van and pop up trailer (we were here around 2:30 though - not sure what it's like closer to lunch). The dining room was big with plenty of tables. The salad was yummy. Sandwiches were good, and there was plenty of variety. The prices were great. Highlight? The bread. Is really is delicious. When you can get your sandwich prepared the way your ordered it this shop is good. Otherwise they don't really pay attention to what you are ordering. Two days in a row they made my sandwich wrong.. Ham and Swiss cane out with a Salami and Swiss .. Thought I'd try it again the next day .. ordered a ham and Swiss and CONFIRMED my order.. A bacon surprise! I can't recall (stoker maybe) the name of sandwich, but the jalapeno bacon was the highlight of this sub. It included turkey and pepper jack cheese, but wasn't a spicy and your choice of condiments. The turkey was middle of the road quality, but the 6 inch was huge and filling. There is no combo deal, so everything is ala carte, but chips were only a buck. The teens make this sandwich quick and tghere were lots of farming types in here discussing local stuff and downing huge 10 or 12 inch subs. read more

Nice little local place on the main business drag but just a bit off the historic drag. Very reasonable prices actually on the cheap side without compromise to product. Deli meats were thick sliced and the egg salad was well seasoned, chunky yet moist and very plentiful. An 8 ounce bowl of soup was only 2.67$!! I had the chicken noodle which was rich and Home style. They offer multiple bread choices and sandwich sides. They don't get overly creative in their sandwich recipes but it was still tasty (I had the box car their version of an Italian) and I would get it again for sure and return here when in Buffalo and wanting sandwich or soup. Get here early for lunch so you don't miss out on the daily soup special. read more

My favorite sandwich shop hands down!! The bread, Italian dressing and pepperoncini peppers are key! Current favorite: the Stoker with turkey, pepperjack cheese, and jalapeño bacon. But I also love the tuna, egg salad, veggie, BLT, hot pastrami, pepperoni, and reuben. Honesty, it's hard to go wrong. The cauliflower cheese soup is great if you stop on the right day and also the potato salad in the summer is delicious. They serve both Pepsi and Coke products and have a large selection of chips. We were trying to locate the sagebrush cafe but couldnt find it, so we went to the Breadboard. SO GLAD WE DID!! The sign says breadboard...sub shop and it is. But they also have a daily soup made fresh every day and chili in the winter. They bake their breads fresh every day as well as roast their chicken in house every day. You can tell them what you want inside your sub (everything from 4inch to more) the bread and the condiments. The freshest, best bread imaginable. Very friendly staff. When you walk in, as opposed to going through the drive in, they make your sandwich in front of you. Who knows maybe they do that with the drive through also. Highly recommend. read more

I ordered a roast beef and turkey sub called the Freight Train, though I'm not confident I remember the name correctly. It was one of the best sandwiches I have had in a while. It was loaded with all the accoutrements and I subbed in pepper jack cheese. It was incredibly satisfying. The girls behind the window were friendly and assembled my food quickly.
