The wait staff were so friendly. Since we've been traveling all day, we were extremely underdressed in our T-shirts and jeans. The atmosphere was lovely. Not too loud, well decorated. We ordered appetizers: brussel sprouts, gnocchi, and pork belly, and a salmon fillet. We asked for two plates and got two teeny appetizer plates. The brussels sprouts were the Star, they had a little bit of a spicy kick with nuts and a Thai like sauce. The salmon was horrible. It was burnt and dry on the outside and raw in the center. We both looked at it immediately and almost sent it back, it was so poorly cooked, but decided we were too hungry to complain. The pork belly was all fat absolutely no meat to it. The slaw was all vinegar (not bad) and sat on a lovely dressing that seemed like a white thousand island with a brown mustard. The gnocchi was so hot, it seemed as if it had been microwaved. The sauce was like an Alfredo that had separated, very oily. It reminded me of a day old Alfredo; all butter and delicious bits of garlic. We devoured it. It melted in your mouth. Our server Manny was very attentive. When my sister asked about the IPAs on tap, he even brought two samples for her to try. We ordered the Greek lamb gyro with shoestring fries and a spring salad. The shoestring fries really stole the show. They were so perfect; cut in 1/4"W x 1/4"D thicknesses of varying lengths. and lightly deep fried to golden brown, well-drained. The salad was fresh. While the taste of the gyro was ok, sadly the lamb had been sliced into about 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 1/4" rectangular blocks instead of having been shaved into 1/8"- 1/4" thicknesses. The slices of lamb should have been cut from top-to-bottom, from the verticle rotissie, to ensure that each piece includes the crispy, caramelized exterior. Since one of my favorite go-to menu items is the Greek gyro, I was very disappointed. Additionally my sister felt (compared with the last six places we'd dined at in the last week) that the drinks we had were a bit over-priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant: background music down to a low-enough level for guests to converse easily, nice hardwood floors, and well-lit. I've heard people say, "I go to the place for the great food, despite the so-so service." I have never heard people conversely say, " I go to a place for the great service despite the so-so food." Because of all this, I must give Frackeltons a 3-star rating. read more

In town visiting my bestie so she made reservations for 6 on Saturday night. We were quickly sat at a large circle table near the kitchen. Our waitress greeted us and grabbed us drinks well we waited for the other two. We ordered the espresso martini, mango martini, key lime martini, smoky old fashion (came in a smoke box!) and a few coors lights. Our server read us the specials and we ordered the brussels' for an appetizer. It was a very large portion with peanuts in it. Very good flavor but was not a fan of the nuts. We ordered the coffee steak x2, meatloaf special, mac and cheese, cajun shrimp pasta and lobster ravioli. The Coffee steak was a large potion, perfectly cooked but not the best presentation. Shrimp was yummy in the cajun pasta but it was a bit spicy. The lobster ravioli was definitely salty but a good portion. Local recommended the mac and cheese telling us it would change our life's and it was definitely worth the hype! 10/10 recommend. read more

I had the bison burger and my wife had the tenderloin. Our waiter Liam did a great job of correcting a couple minor issues and I was comped a beer. Our waiter really saved our night. Let me start by saying the food has a great flavor, and when it ultimately arrived at our table- it was hot. My issue lies with with kitchen, and also the lack of care or concern exhibited by the waiter and hostess. Two tables were seated after our table of 5. One table of 5, then another of 2. Both tables were served before us, even after us ordering before both. The lateness of the evening( arrived 45 mins. Before closing), does not excuse poor expediting and executing. Never was the food tardiness addressed by our waiter, and when the hostess was asked to find out the reason for the two tables getting food before ours- no response, never saw her again. Let's not even get into the unprofessionalism of the kitchen team. En route to our final winter destination, we spent the evening in Sheridan. Love the small towns and this place happened to come up on my search for dinner. The staff was incredible, very friendly, very knowledgeable. The food was good - once you hit the these states, you can definitely tell a difference in beef quality and flavor. Both steaks were excellent and cooked to perfection and the Brussels were incredible. Crispy, salty, everything you want in brussels sprouts! Sheridan WY, population 18,000...Frackleton's isn't just the best restaurant in town, but one of the best restaurants in America. I know that's a bold statement. We didn't have a reservation, but the 4 of us were seated promptly with genuine smiles from all the friendly staff. $5(half size) Spinach salad with egg and bacon in unique dressing. I hate salads in general, I eat them purely for healthy purposes. But this salad is delicious! Don't make the same mistake I did, spend $8 for the full size. $12 Calamari...Sheridan WY is nowhere near the ocean. But for reasons beyond me, this might be the best calamari in America. The unique spice blend adds punch of flavor to an otherwise boring animal. $29 12oz Flat Iron steak. I think this is lie. This steak was huge! I have no read evidence, but I think it was 16oz steak. I ordered it medium, and it was tender, juicy, and meaty with a perfect delectable truffle demi glace. This is a glorious piece of beef, with wonderful gorgonzola mash potatoes and some veg. Its only $16 for a 6oz steak, but its really probably 8oz. The birthday girl's mac n cheese($14) was also surprisingly amazing...rich cheesy happiness...and she got a 6oz side of the flat iron steak. Her free birthday cake slice was also fabulous. The bartenders also know how make a fantastic old fashioned. Not sure when, if ever, I'll ever return to Sheridan, but I'm definitely eating here again if I do. read more

They have an open kitchen, so it was fun to watch the meals come out. Everything looked great! The starter menu is awesome! We selected the wedge salad with Gorgonzola-- delightful. Our favorite was the Ahi Poke with wonton crisps. So good! We then picked two more starters - the lollipop lamb chops and the fish and chips. Both cooked perfectly. The wait staff is plentiful, attentive and incredibly friendly! Our favorite treat.... The Brussels Sprouts fried with bacon, then tossed in a maple vinaigrette topped with a sinful caramelized onion aioli... holy crap they are delicious! Thick juicy burgers with side of decadent truffle fries are hard to beat but there are some incredibly tempting options that I look forward to eating in the future! Frackleton's recently upgraded its facility and I've heard made some changes to the menu and I haven't been there since the changes. However it has for many years been consistently the best and most interesting place to eat in Sheridan. Wyoming seldom has restaurants or even menu items that are not traditional American fare. Frakleton's does also and does an excellent job of those dishes but also has things you would not expect and limited but very good and interesting foreign dishes. Its prices are reasonable and I have never had a meal there I did not enjoy very much. read more

Passing through area for one night, had dinner here, sat at a table in bar area. Bartender serving us was fine but seemed pretty uninterested, slow to come around. Had to ask someone else for leftover boxes and to pay the check. Quality of food was quite good and priced well. We both got salads with added protein and an order of mac n cheese. My husband's salmon was cooked perfectly, my chicken good. The star of the show was a new female busser who we watched throughout our visit, working hard, obviously cared a lot to do well.
