So disappointed..! This used to be one of my place breakfast places during my hometown visits to Sheridan. So cute still...It was nice to get our food order in right away, but there was no offer of anything to drink, and when my husband asked for an iced tea after ordering his food, it never came. I ordered the Urban Benedict, which comes on a sour dough roll, fine... so they don't grill the sourdough roll so it is cold, with cold avocado, cold bean sprouts, cold goat cheese, topped by an egg and Bernaise sauce, which makes the whole thing cold. The hashbrowns had the taste of old lard. My husband ordered bacon and eggs. The toast wasn't toasted, but he was hungry, so he forced down his hashbrowns. And it all ended with the cashier not asking how the food was... possibly she did not want to know... she did say thanks though. read more

The burrata melts in your mouth, blending perfectly with the chicken and lovely fresh pesto sauce...years later I still love the pesto sauce here! $14 "Chicken Melt" gets you the best chicken pesto sandwich in America. Pesto, Bleu Cheese, Walnuts on Grilled Sourdough...the pesto is fresh(I think) and fragrant, the melted blue cheese blends in perfectly with the crushed walnuts. We are driving through town and wanted to get some lunch. It was an odd time in the afternoon like 230 so it wasn't too crowded inside. We were quickly seated. I ordered a Cubano and my husband ordered turkey sandwich. The food took a little longer than I expected, but it could also been the time of the day Cubano was a little different than but I've had it other places however it was good. Great spot that serves authentic local cuisine. Elk sausage, bison, sausage, etc. Good service, perfect sized portions and pleasant atmosphere. Nestled right in the middle of a lovely Main Street of Sheridan complete with sculptures and statues all along the sidewalk. On a pleasant day, have breakfast and take a stroll. Great find in Sheridan! We happened to stop in on a Friday afternoon. Its a super cute cafe located in downtown. The server was very friendly and accommodating (she even was able to get my meal to be a bit cheaper since I had so many substitutions!). The kettle chips are a MUST!!!! The food is very good and a little bit more reasonably priced than most of the restaurants in Sheridan. Sheridan is a very expensive restaurant town so this is helpful. This is a very unassuming spot right on the main strip of Main Street. Our waitress was super! The energy she had and cheerful attitude made everything better. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a very good flavor. The pork on the other hand, while crisp from the flash frying and fall off the bone tender just needed more seasoning - for me. The gravy could/should have been hotter as well. We weren't able to experience the pies as we were there to late and most all were sold out but the folks around us were licking their pie plates. read more

We liked how they gave you a whole pitcher of water to serve yourself at your table. The old downtown feel of the place was nice. We were not impressed with it overall. Very hard to get waited on and it was very hot in there. We got the Avocado Burger and Bubba Combo with Sweet Potatoes. Nothing spectacular especially for 18.50 for a burger and fries. My husband and I ate here 3 times while visiting the area. Make sure you have PIE ! I even had PIE at breakfast. The regular food is great too. But I LOVED THE PIES. I'm writing this review as I wait for my bill. I've been waiting for 10+min for my bill and I can't get my server's attention. Food was very mediocre. Canned or frozen food. Nothing tastes fresh. First how cool is Sheridan WY! This small cafe was full of locals enjoying the homemade and unexpected menu. It is homemade home cooking with a flair! Hubs had the California Club with fries. He loved them both. I had the spicy hamburger steak with sautéed veggies and a baked potato. The veggies were eh, the baked potato was a baked potato. The hamburger steak was topped with sautéed onions some mozzarella cheese and diced chilis and jalapeños. It was big. So big I had one bite of potato and could not finish the steak nor veggies. Veggies were eh so I did not care to finish them. Oh my gosh the coffee is really really good. We even got two cups to go. The pies holy moly. I wish I'd taken a pic of the 6 shelf case. Several had been made fresh just a couple hours prior. So many combos and choices. We were too full but wished we'd saved room! The sever was a young gal going to the local college. What a pleasant surprise to have found this gem. I had the Bison meatloaf which was tender and full of flavor, the side vegetables were crisp and sweet, but the star of the show was the green Chile. It was mildly spicy but not over hot, it had just the right amount of chopped pork to give it hardiness. to be this far and worth it to have such great green chili is a rarity. I wanted to try something different and get the elk skillet, unfortunately I did not care for it, but the staff was so accommodating they quickly got me a new order.
