Neat, western themed, longtime local restaurant serving both traditional breakfast/lunch menus. Excellent burgers, sandwiches and salads with loads of atmosphere. Very friendly staff and tasty homemade corned beef hash made my tummy happy! Great place for tourists and locals alike. read more

If you're looking for comfort, food and or a good hamburger, this is the place. Friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, and homemade pies... Oh my!. I had a hamburger, the one with L and bison, can't remember the name of it, but it's the number one on the list and it was delicious. Accompanied with french fries and cold beer, I call it a great meal. Credit to the staff for being so friendly and accommodating. Located downtown on the old part of Main Street, enjoyed walking around after dinner. Great location. read more

We sat down. We never got to the food. I asked about gluten free, I received a rude response. My daughter on the phone heard the waitress response and said she has an attitude. The place is old and worn. The ambiance was not inviting. We left and went done the street and had a great meal with great service. read more

They tell you to try the pie because the pie is THAT good. Service was friendly and efficient. I always appreciate being sat down and immediately helped by a friendly face! On top of it all, the tots were perfectly crispy and my pig & fig sandwich was hot and fresh. It's got a nice, chill vibe and we were sat immediately, absolutely saving this spot to come back again and try more pie! read more

Excellent breakfast spot in the sweet town of Sheridan, love this place and the people there. Simple little cafe, great food.

3.5 tops. I ordered J & J Chicken sandwich. It was decent, but would not order again. It came with Fries or house chips. I ordered chips since my wife ordered fries with her chicken crescent sandwich. The fries were good, but the chips were cold and stale. Who serves stale house made chips? We passed on pie offered for dessert, but maybe that's the best thing om menu? Probably won't return. read more

Stopped in for lunch before flying home. We stuck to water and all got sandwiches. The burrata was to die for! Service was fast and the place was so cute inside! Highly recommend. read more

Sheridan WY, population now 20,000ish...and the Cowboy Cafe served the best chicken pesto sandwich I've ever had...Gawd Bless America! $15 Burrata Chicken Sandwich: Grilled Chicken Breast, Burrata in Wyoming?, Grilled Tomatoes, Pesto on Brioche Bun. The burrata melts in your mouth, blending perfectly with the chicken and lovely fresh pesto sauce...years later I still love the pesto sauce here! $14 "Chicken Melt" gets you the best chicken pesto sandwich in America. Pesto, Bleu Cheese, Walnuts on Grilled Sourdough...the pesto is fresh(I think) and fragrant, the melted blue cheese blends in perfectly with the crushed walnuts. Just $1 gets you a satisfying portion of fries. Not sure if I'll ever be back in Sheridan again for work...but I'll definitely get one of these pesto sandwiches again if I am. read more

So disappointed..! This used to be one of my place breakfast places during my hometown visits to Sheridan. So cute still...It was nice to get our food order in right away, but there was no offer of anything to drink, and when my husband asked for an iced tea after ordering his food, it never came. I ordered the Urban Benedict, which comes on a sour dough roll, fine... so they don't grill the sourdough roll so it is cold, with cold avocado, cold bean sprouts, cold goat cheese, topped by an egg and Bernaise sauce, which makes the whole thing cold. The hashbrowns had the taste of old lard. My husband ordered bacon and eggs. The toast wasn't toasted, but he was hungry, so he forced down his hashbrowns. And it all ended with the cashier not asking how the food was... possibly she did not want to know... she did say thanks though. read more

Had the Beastly burger. It was wild! Pun intended. A little gamy but good with Tots. Nice little place downtown. Nice decor friendly service. If you are ever passing thru Sheridan, come on in. I highly recommend it. read more

Horrible food! Tasted like fast food. Ordered chicken fried steak w/ mashed potatoes. I received a steak that was one bought at a Walmart ( though theirs are better than this garbage) I got a baked potato, no butter, sour cream NOTHING and no gravy! Finally they brought this running mess they called gravy. It was all disgusting They advertise their famous for their pies, ordered Pecan, which was made with chocolate absolutely horrible and a cherry pie that tasted old and awful! My grandson and son were with me and their orders were just as disgusting. My son had the trout which was bland, unseasoned and vegetables that were decent. Grandson had a burger that was ok, but nothing special for the amount we paid! Everything was overpriced and definitely one of those places you would never go back to. Service was bad, the only plus was the cafe itself. I would Never ever recommend this place to anyone. I was extremely sick after eating very little of the food, none of us faired too well. What a waste of money. read more

My friend had the Chicken Parmesan Pasta, which he said was excellent. Very fresh and unique sauce. I had the mushroom Swiss chicken fried steak, which was also quite good. Recommend the Moose Drops fried cheese curd appetizer. All were hot and perfectly prepared. Service was quick and courteous. Very professional. A must try when you're in Sheridan or driving through. 4.7 stars from me. read more

We are driving through town and wanted to get some lunch. It was an odd time in the afternoon like 230 so it wasn't too crowded inside. We were quickly seated. I ordered a Cubano and my husband ordered turkey sandwich. The food took a little longer than I expected, but it could also been the time of the day Cubano was a little different than but I've had it other places however it was good. Service was friendly and the interior is quite interesting. The decor is tied into a cowboy thing and it's pretty darn interesting. read more

Great find in Sheridan! We happened to stop in on a Friday afternoon. Its a super cute cafe located in downtown. The server was very friendly and accommodating (she even was able to get my meal to be a bit cheaper since I had so many substitutions!). The kettle chips are a MUST!!!! They were so amazing we couldnt stop eating them! Will definitely be back next time we visit! read more

Nice western-themed cafe. Parking was surprisingly ample despite the cafe being on a Main Street. Burger was great! Decent service. We enjoyed it! read more

Food is very good. Atmos is casual. Service - the servers talk to each other too much but is ok. Beers - you look at the cans on the wall. Desserts - you look at the hands written options on the board below the beer cans. Ordered Chicken Fried Steak with Swiss mushroom gravy. Steak is commercial but poked very well. Large, crispy, a bit more breading than meat but ok. Gravy with Swiss cheese and fresh sautéed mushrooms was excellent. Steamed veggies consisted of cauliflower, broccoli, corn. Was good. Also have a choice of potato-French fries, mashed, tater tots. Heard someone request hash browns because they have that at breakfast there. Server said she'd ask the cook. Hubby had BBQ ribs and fries - he said it was good. They also have homemade pies and cheesecake. E had the pumpkin maple crunch pie. It was very good. Overall great place to try. read more

Very family friendly Western historic diner with booths. Very nice outdoor patio facing historic Main Street. The food is very good and a little bit more reasonably priced than most of the restaurants in Sheridan. Sheridan is a very expensive restaurant town so this is helpful. Burgers and French dip both good. Breakfasts above average. read more

This is a very unassuming spot right on the main strip of Main Street. Our waitress was super! The energy she had and cheerful attitude made everything better. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a very good flavor. The pork on the other hand, while crisp from the flash frying and fall off the bone tender just needed more seasoning - for me. The gravy could/should have been hotter as well. We weren't able to experience the pies as we were there to late and most all were sold out but the folks around us were licking their pie plates. read more

Great spot that serves authentic local cuisine. Elk sausage, bison, sausage, etc. Good service, perfect sized portions and pleasant atmosphere. Great cafe downtown where the locals and tourists meet. Fabulous American cuisine at great prices. We were in for breakfast and had omelettes and fried eggs with all the trimmings. We liked how they gave you a whole pitcher of water to serve yourself at your table. The old downtown feel of the place was nice. We were not impressed with it overall. Very hard to get waited on and it was very hot in there. We got the Avocado Burger and Bubba Combo with Sweet Potatoes. Nothing spectacular especially for 18.50 for a burger and fries. Tourists seems to be the bulk of your business during Rodeo time so please accommodate and be prepared. We want to support locals but we share our feedback with each other as well. read more

SO GOOD!! We came to Sheridan because we saw the menu online and they did not disappoint. Amazing service. My husband got the bison, I got the elk, and we shared the moose droppings - fried cheese curds. We were shopping on Main Street and saw that they were closed. We checked again on another day and they were open so we decided to go see if they really were open. There's been some construction so maybe it was tied to that? We're very glad to have eaten here. We thought the food was good. We ordered two buffalo burgers and thought the flavors blended well overall. The tots were especially delicious but maybe it was because we came to eat after a hike. Bad food overcooked overpriced and was not even close to good. Waiter was seen like twice DONT ever eat here.

My husband and I ate here 3 times while visiting the area. Make sure you have PIE ! I even had PIE at breakfast. The regular food is great too. But I LOVED THE PIES. Service is friendly and helpful with any menu questions. The new pies are listed on a white board. The regular pies are listed on a glass case. *hint- get your fruit pie heated, served in a bowl, with a spoon. You need more fruit in your diet. I don't eat the crust. My husband does that. read more

I'm writing this review as I wait for my bill. I've been waiting for 10+min for my bill and I can't get my server's attention. Food was very mediocre. Canned or frozen food. Nothing tastes fresh. Water glasses were dingy and need to be replaced. Place was fairly busy and I was told the desserts were good but after a poor meal, I didn't want to wait for dessert. I would've given three stars if either the food or the service was good, but since neither we're good, I'm giving it 2 stars I would not recommend and will not be back. read more
