We ate here Thursday night minutes before they closed. We did not realize it was as tight as it was. They close at 9 o'clock and we walked in at 8:58 and they happily served us. My wife ordered the chicken salad sandwich with fries I ordered the three-piece chicken dinner came with gravy and mashed potatoes and coleslaw. I received a chicken leg chicken breast and a chicken thigh. Both meals were delicious. The ambience of this place is more of a I would say 50s 60s Berger place. The people in there were very very nice especially for that time of night and getting ready to close. I would definitely recommend In Buffalo, Wy that you give them a try. Pretty run of the mill local butter joint, although the hysteria a bit more variety than you might expected. Fries were pretty good, and the best part of the meal. The bacon dashburger was a liter underwhelming, Small with an amazing unimpressive amount of bacon. I think something needs to be clarified to the folks complaining about four-star reviews: The Yelp rating system does not work the same way as a star system does with, say, hotels. More stars does not equal fancier, gourmet, or blow-your-mind amazing. Sometimes four or even five stars means the place is great for what it is. In this case, that's a classic, American, mom and pop, fast food restaurant. You will not have the best burger of your life, but you will have a tasty, yet simple meal. It's old school, and that's part of the charm! I had the grilled cheese, fries, and an Oreo malt. The malt was delicious, and while I shouldn't have had the whole thing, you bet I drank every drop. The fries were basic, but crispy. No complaints there. The grilled cheese was homestyle perfection. The bread was buttery and golden, but still soft. There was a good balance of bread to cheese. My husband had the burger and onion rings. He said the burger was good, better than Wendy's but not as good as Five Guys. He also had a butterscotch malt, which he loved. Clean bathrooms. Friendly and helpful service. We drove past Dash to get to restaurant that were closed down or closed for the day. It was 1:30 PM! The ambiance is comfy and bright. I had the homemade chili with cheese, onions and sour cream(!) and it was delicious. Hubby has the patty melt and onion rings. He barely said a word while devouring his meal. He washed it down with state bottled Pepsi (the best drink!), while I nursed my peanut butter and M&M shake. A substantial meal for under $30, what else could a weary traveler want? read more

I don't know where the 4 and 5 star reviews are coming from unless they don't have much to choose from and crappy food is their normal which makes Dash Inn a gourmet delight (it barely passes edible) The food was horrible. Hamburger was cold on the inside as it was cooked from a frozen state. Also flavorless.... and I paid $8 for a sad, sad burger. The chicken sandwich was worse. Tasted like it was freezer burn. Bad aftertaste. It was thrown out with the first bite. The saving grace were the potato wedges with gravy. Those were yummy. Hardee's is two blocks further down - go there if you need a drive thru. Otherwise, for a great burger and good service go to the Southside Grill for great burger (they packed it to go to take back to our hotel). We were told by a friend to go here for the burger. I had the bacon Dash burger. I asked if they offered a fried egg for my burger and they accommodated. My wife had the 3 pc fried chicken basket. Since the original family owners sold this business, I won't eat there. Everything is now from sisco. The burger used to be local and ground fresh. Same goes for the chicken salad, no longer homemade. If you want to pay over 2.50 for a small order of pre frozen French fries, that is what you will pay and what you will get. The Dash, as it is locally called, continues to decline in quality, and it's very disappointing because they offer a great menu. On ordering one of our traditional favorites, "regular" chicken wings, to go - they turned out extra hot and too spicy to tolerate. But the worst part was the bigger pieces were undone in the middle. No problem, stuff happens, but when I let them know, all that was said was "I'll let the kitchen know". No offer to make it right. As with other long term customers, we find that consistency is no longer the strong suit it used to be. We sometimes enjoy our meal, but more often than not, disappointment. Please pick it up Dash - you have a great reputation to uphold and we would hate to see you go out of business due to lower food quality, or failure to "make it right" when it was wrong. read more

We had a party of 6 the food was great they batter the fried chicken in house and the ribs are made a few times day . Stopped here on our road trip. It's a super small town and I am sure the locals knew we weren't, but this place was busy and that's a good sign. It had a lot of variety. If you read my previous post about "any port in the storm" the same situation arose for us in Buffalo Wy. We were hungry and needed a break from hours on the motorcycle. Not much to choose from so we decided to stop by the Dash Inn. We thought it was a full sit down restaurant and were surprised when we walked in and saw that we had to order fast food style. They has many things to choose from including some tacky names, I passed on the Dasharito! We ordered a 5 piece chicken to share, I got the fries with a side of gravy and a side of cole slaw. Wifey got the potato wedges and shared my cole slaw. Our food took a while, but that is a good thing, means its not sitting around KFC style. What was got was incredibly good. The chicken had awesome flavor and the fries were nice and crispy. I must say that the gravy tasted like package and the fries were probably frozen from a bag, but they were still cooked to perfection. I was happy with my meal and would say that might have been some of the best fried chicken I have had. * WARNING - as I was waiting in line a few people came in because their to go orders were screwed up, so be careful before you leave and get 10 miles down the road. read more

I always loved it as a kid and it never got old, but lately when I have ate there I have gotten sick, this has happened probably 4 times now. This place reminds me of bowling alley food. My wife ordered tacos and chips and salsa. The salsa was literally Pace picante and the Sysco chips couldn't have been more stale. The tacos were a poor man's version of Taco Bell, if that is even possible. I had the "dash burger" which was fine, nothing to write home about. Fries were super-average. The staff was nice, the place was clean, and the price was very reasonable. But if you get a good deal on mediocre food, is it really a good deal? I'd skip this place. read more
