We decided to visit Chattanooga and grab a sweet treat...well 5 of them! Eclair, cannoli, raw cookie dough, snores cupcake and classic butter cake with chocolate frosting! All of them were very good! Food was a 9 but the service and friendly atmosphere was a 10+! If you are here in town, it's definitely worth a stop. Downside, Chattanooga has the most expensive parking, if you are here on a weekend, park on the street, it's free! However, this place is worth every penny to park!

The smell alone deserves its own Michelin star. I'm pretty sure I gained 3 pounds just inhaling. The cupcakes? Fluffy little clouds of joy. The frosting? So smooth it could negotiate world peace. The staff? Friendly enough to convince you that an extra cupcake is a responsible life choice--honestly, they're not wrong. My personal favorite was the cookies and cream, which tasted like it was handcrafted by cheerful woodland creatures with perfect credit scores. I would like this cupcake at my birthday, my wedding, and my funeral. In conclusion: Cupcake Kitchen is dangerous... in a "I suddenly understand why people write poetry about dessert" kind of way. Highly recommend. Will be returning. Probably tomorrow. Maybe tonight.

My husband got the Lavender White Chocolate. Both were PHENOMENAL!!! The BEST hot chocolate I've ever had! Even better than my ex-MIL's!!! So freaking GOOD!! The barista who helped us was so kind and so helpful. We would have never tried anything lavender. The place had a really cool vibe. Get yourself to the Hot Chocolatier, PRONTO!!!

There were a lot of options as far as flavors, sizes, toppings, etc. I stuck with a 12 oz white hot chocolate with whipped cream. Now the white hot chocolate was fantastic. It was real white chocolate and it was a nice bit of sweetness. But the cheesecake was unfortunately disappointing. I don't know if it was over baked or over beaten or what but it had a rubbery jello like texture that's not appealing in the mouth when expecting something different. I could only have two bites before giving up on the $9 slice. I'm torn on this review. And this is because I was so excited and hopeful to try the cute hot chocolate place with desserts that I wanted to love it. But was so disappointed with my dessert. The hot chocolate was fantastic and that being their key thing is what I would try again. But I'd probably never reorder a baked dessert from them as they are not necessarily cheap and I wouldn't want to be disappointed when there are other treat options around the area. The space itself is mountainy fun candy cottage vibe. Serves the purpose of having somewhere to enjoy the treats you've ordered inside.

I was not very…read moresatisfied after the first class because the instructor is very young and doesn't transmit much confidence while explaining or talking to the group. She does have years of experience, superior education and she helped with little tips. The rest of the clases got better because she was more confident. This class is very good for people who are pretty new at decorating cakes, is a VERY basic and short course that will get you started! In my case helped me tremendously because they introduced so many new tools to me and taught me techniques on how to use them. So yes I would totally reccomend this class! I will be taking course 2 and 3 so I can learn even more! They also sell a lot of baking supplies that are priced very reasonable and they have a lot of different options, for example they have several kinds of food coloring and flavors, candy melts, cookie cutters for every occasion, cake boards, pans and boxes every size you can imagine. The sugar shoppe also has a stand at the farmer's market at the first Tennessee pavilion and we really like their cake slices, my mom and my husband enjoy them very much because the textures and flavors they offer. They are large portions for $5 each slice. They are very delicious! I haven't ordered a cake from them, but since I was able to be in their kitchen for the classes I was able to see their cake schedule and they had a very clean and organized kitchen, they prepare ahead the buttercream which is their own recipe ans it's perfect texture to decorate and pipe any designs. I would definitely order a cake from them, they are very nice, I saw them interact with customers who were placing custome orders, they ask a lot of questions to make sure they deliver the cake you want.
