When I pulled up, they were packed. That didn't stop them from being so good at their job, though. You could smell the fresh cones being made, and the staff was so nice and pleasant. Service was fast and friendly whether in the drive-thru or the walk up window. There's also a handful of clean dog friendly patio table seating to sit. I ordered the mint and chocolate chip in a kid's cup size (1 scoop), and the hubby ordered a waffle cone with the chocolate raspberry truffle ($11.32 total). Is seems like trendy ice cream places pop up and disappear regularly as the trends fade, but places like Bruster's are consistent, and so they stick around. Thank goodness! I love that they make the ice cream with fresh ingredients with a creamy texture and lots of flavor -- in flavors I never would even think of. Big chunks of whatever is mixed in add to the experience. I've never had any of the sundaes or other offerings, so I can only speak to the big giant scoops of goodness that come is a huge waffle cone. I think the telling picture is the one I took to accompany this review. As I was opening Yelp and getting ready to check in I turned to my wife and said, "let me get a picture of your ice cream and cone." As you can see, she'd already eaten a large part of the first scoop. Don't let the picture fool you into thinking the portions are small. The "regular" cone is plenty for a normal appetite! They usually have some sort of a deal going if you search the web and they have an app that can get you free ice cream -- get it before you go!!! The service was fast and efficient. We got 2 "Regular Waffle Cones", which come with 3 scoops of ice cream of your choice. I usually don't like chocolate ice cream (especially the type you get in the grocery stores) but I was feeling a bit daring and I ended up choosing 3 variety of chocolate ice cream for my cone: Chocolate Mudslide, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip. I'd say the risk paid off. The ice cream itself was smooth, creamy, and delicious. The flavors weren't too sweet or overpowering and even with 3 chocolate-based flavors, you could tell where one ended and the other one started. The chocolate bits inside the ice cream were crisp and the brownie and cookie dough pieces were nice and chewy, unlike the rubber bullets you get in store-bought ice cream or a fast food joint. I want to give 3 stars for the awesome accents and customer service and no stars for the actual strawberry milkshake that I had. It had a weird taste like something was off about it. The after taste was not a good one. I have one of these near me in Georgia and never tried it so while visiting Chattanooga I drove over here after the donut shop next door didn't have anymore apple fritters. I may have the unpopular opinion here but I feel you should be able to get 3 plain cones and a small shake for less than 12 dollars. Their ice cream is really good, there's no denying that. But considering they are not my only option for ice cream on E. Brainerd, it makes it hard for me to want to come back when I am paying nearly double than anywhere else, for just basic ice cream. Besides that it is a good establishment to have nearby. Its right next to Heritage Park, where we frequent and since they have a walk up window we can bring our dog which is always a plus. They have a lot of flavors to choose from too, plus a drive thru we use when it rains. My husband got a strawberry milkshake and it was pretty good. What can we say about Brusters... We clearly scream for ice cream. This is the best ice cream shop around. This store is open year round and has a drive through. There's outdoor seating, but not a lot of it. Just 4 benches or so. There are some umbrellas though to provide the shades. They're usually pretty quick and get orders right. They're kind and helpful, willing to give you a sample spoon of whatever flavor you're curious about. They also have a reward program that will give you a free small ice cream every 10th purchase and they also run promotions if you get on the email list. Oh, and the ice cream is delicious. Some favorites are chocolate almond coconut, graham central station, and chocolate raspberry truffle. read more

We went here because my mom had a gift card to this place. It's a small little place that you can walk up and order ice cream and sit outside or there is a drive through. We went through the drive through in the middle of the day during the middle of the week, so there weren't too many people there. I had the cheesecake ice cream and it was AMAZING!!
