So many choices of ice creams here. The black cherry never disappoints but there are just too many delicious flavors to have a favorite. They are always fast and get you in and out. They keep the parking lot clean as well. read more

Amazingly real ice cream with BOLD flavor! Dare I say this is akin to my favorite smaller franchise ice cream shop, Handles Homemade Ice Cream. That's a tall order, but Bruster's delivered! When I pulled up, they were packed. That didn't stop them from being so good at their job, though. You could smell the fresh cones being made, and the staff was so nice and pleasant. Service was fast and friendly whether in the drive-thru or the walk up window. There's also a handful of clean dog friendly patio table seating to sit. I ordered the mint and chocolate chip in a kid's cup size (1 scoop), and the hubby ordered a waffle cone with the chocolate raspberry truffle ($11.32 total). Both flavors were absolutely delectable and so creamy. I also appreciate that they offer dairy free flavor options too! If you've never been, are new to the area, or just passing through, you're going to want to visit. read more

What a charming little place, with fresh homemade Ice Cream made daily..... and Yumm! Butter Brickle and Carmel apple were the biggest of bits with us tonight. And while we sat enjoying our desserts ms Yolanda came and talked with us... it was my first time here, hubby had to share these sweet treats. It did not disappoint! 5 stars from us! read more

well, your definitely right and honest about the premium part... just not the ice cream, just the prices!! Baskin robins is way way better and I would pay those prices for them, but absolutely not for what I have experienced here! ... was extremely disappointed especially for a 8 dollar SMALL milkshake... that tastes like old cardboard, and like it has been scooped with a spoon that has touched every other flavor without being washed in between or something lol. my strawberry milkshake tasted like walnut, chocolate, old cardboard, and insanely strong strawberry syrup. .... the only thing it had even going for it was the somewhat nice lady at the window. But I absolutely wouldn't recommend here as an ice cream stop though. If your willing to pay top prices, I wouldnt waste it here.. truly. It may just be this location because I feel like I've ate at the river front one a while ago and thought it was okay. so idk but either way, it still absolutely isnt worthy of its prices, or to call it premium ice cream. Yall can get way better ice cream at that price point at many places in chatt. Js. read more

I'm not sure who's working today but they need to go home and try again tomorrow. The staff acted like we were getting on their nerves and had an attitude. I was asked if I had a number in the system but before I could answer, the card reader was shoved in my face! I told them I didn't want a lid and was given one anyway. Geezus! Customer service is at an all time low! Should've gone to Clumpies! read more

Is seems like trendy ice cream places pop up and disappear regularly as the trends fade, but places like Bruster's are consistent, and so they stick around. Thank goodness! I love that they make the ice cream with fresh ingredients with a creamy texture and lots of flavor -- in flavors I never would even think of. Big chunks of whatever is mixed in add to the experience. I've never had any of the sundaes or other offerings, so I can only speak to the big giant scoops of goodness that come is a huge waffle cone. I think the telling picture is the one I took to accompany this review. As I was opening Yelp and getting ready to check in I turned to my wife and said, "let me get a picture of your ice cream and cone." As you can see, she'd already eaten a large part of the first scoop. Don't let the picture fool you into thinking the portions are small. The "regular" cone is plenty for a normal appetite! They usually have some sort of a deal going if you search the web and they have an app that can get you free ice cream -- get it before you go!!! Summer or winter time, this ice cream is worth stopping in to eat. read more

Absolutely outstanding ice cream! I ordered a Oreo ice cream on a cake cone. The cone was super fresh. I came looking for a standard cookies n cream. I was worried the Oreo would be overly sweet or decadent, not the case at. The ice cream was well balanced, not extra sweet. Even better, there were big chunks of Oreo cookie inside. Yum!!! I ordered a small. Next time I'll go large. read more

My ice cream was okay but the workers were so rude. i made an honest mistake of ordering a regular cup but with only two scoops. the worker talked down to me and made me look stupid. honestly just a bad vibe overall. one of the workers apologized for rushing me which she honestly wasn't but the other one randomly chimed in with an awful attitude towards me. the cotton candy ice cream also has pop rocks in it? but the birthday cake was delicious. read more

Hearty scoops and delicious ice cream. We stopped by this location today after lunch on a hot afternoon and there were quite a few people in line. Turns out it was for good reason. The service was fast and efficient. We got 2 "Regular Waffle Cones", which come with 3 scoops of ice cream of your choice. I usually don't like chocolate ice cream (especially the type you get in the grocery stores) but I was feeling a bit daring and I ended up choosing 3 variety of chocolate ice cream for my cone: Chocolate Mudslide, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip. I'd say the risk paid off. The ice cream itself was smooth, creamy, and delicious. The flavors weren't too sweet or overpowering and even with 3 chocolate-based flavors, you could tell where one ended and the other one started. The chocolate bits inside the ice cream were crisp and the brownie and cookie dough pieces were nice and chewy, unlike the rubber bullets you get in store-bought ice cream or a fast food joint. At $4 + change per cone, I wouldn't visit every day but on a hot day such as today, I'd definitely say it was worth it. read more

I enjoy their flavor selection and the ice-cream has a good texture. Their seasonal offerings are intriguing and on this visit I had a hot apple dumpling. The service was friendly and they showed effort in getting the order exactly right. For example, they offered to separately package the cold ice-cream from the hot dumpling so it would travel better. read more

I want to give 3 stars for the awesome accents and customer service and no stars for the actual strawberry milkshake that I had. It had a weird taste like something was off about it. The after taste was not a good one. I have one of these near me in Georgia and never tried it so while visiting Chattanooga I drove over here after the donut shop next door didn't have anymore apple fritters. I got back to my hotel and had a sip, it wasn't good. I would try the location near mine to see how the ice cream alone is but I won't be getting another milkshake from them. read more

I may have the unpopular opinion here but I feel you should be able to get 3 plain cones and a small shake for less than 12 dollars. Their ice cream is really good, there's no denying that. But considering they are not my only option for ice cream on E. Brainerd, it makes it hard for me to want to come back when I am paying nearly double than anywhere else, for just basic ice cream. Besides that it is a good establishment to have nearby. Its right next to Heritage Park, where we frequent and since they have a walk up window we can bring our dog which is always a plus. They have a lot of flavors to choose from too, plus a drive thru we use when it rains. My husband got a strawberry milkshake and it was pretty good. We will probably continue if we are at the park but won't go out of our way to go. read more

We stopped by for a quick ice cream treat the other day. I was very disappointed in the flavors that they had. The staff wasn't that courteous. I miss the old Bruster's in Hixson it was my most favorite place. It was pretty good ice cream and I'm sure we'll be back because well yes it's Bruster's. I really hope that maybe their staff will be a little kinder and their flavors will be a little better next time. read more

Very quaint and quick delicious ice cream. Grateful to be greeted kindly even when we were misunderstood about their hours. The aftermath is a new regular to visit this ice cream shop read more

What happened? It seemed that it came under new ownership in the past year. And at this rate of decline no ownership in the coming year. Quality has dropped. Ice cream just doesn't seem to have the quality and flavor it once had. Ive gotten items that seemed to have been thawed out and refrozen, poor texture. Just the usual down hill glide into mediocrity that is so common today's "entitlement" attitude. Shame, they were once the best. read more

Incredible! I've been to some independent ice cream joints over the years. This is the best. All the different flavors they have. The options can be overwhelming. They have this one flavor on occasion, Chocolate Oreo. Outrageously Delicious. All the icream is so good and tastes so fresh. The manager, Yolanda, is so sweet and kind. She makes the BEST milkshakes (Don't forget the whipped cream.). It is well worth your while to come here. read more

Bruster's is really nice. Their flavors are constantly in rotation, the ice cream itself is very high quality, extremely creamy and not in the least bit icy or frosty, and they make their waffle cones in house fresh everyday. You can walk by their shop and catch a whiff of the heavenly scent wafting out several feet away. I dare you not to get dragged in. read more

What can we say about Brusters... We clearly scream for ice cream. This is the best ice cream shop around. This store is open year round and has a drive through. There's outdoor seating, but not a lot of it. Just 4 benches or so. There are some umbrellas though to provide the shades. They're usually pretty quick and get orders right. They're kind and helpful, willing to give you a sample spoon of whatever flavor you're curious about. They also have a reward program that will give you a free small ice cream every 10th purchase and they also run promotions if you get on the email list. Oh, and the ice cream is delicious. Some favorites are chocolate almond coconut, graham central station, and chocolate raspberry truffle. read more

We went here because my mom had a gift card to this place. It's a small little place that you can walk up and order ice cream and sit outside or there is a drive through. We went through the drive through in the middle of the day during the middle of the week, so there weren't too many people there. I had the cheesecake ice cream and it was AMAZING!! So yummy and delicious. This is real ice cream and is probably very high in calories but it's a great treat. I would give this place 5 stars but I am not because the day we went was buy one cone get one cone free and the lady charged us for 2 cones. I asked her about the special and she corrected the price. read more

Bruster's ice cream is so flavorful without being too sweet. It seems fresh, too, as it would have to be to keep up with the steady stream of customers. Best ice cream ever. Always fresh. Oreo is awesomeness. They also have pup cups. So you the family and dog can enjoy.

It bothers me when a website says a place is open when it is not. That includes driving there and finding the place closed. Hence, a negative review. Update your website so I don't come to your place of business after you close. Wait, Baskin Robbins is open. Think I'll go there. read more

I am so disappointed. I have been going to Bruster's forever. No ice cream shop could even come close to their mint chocolate chip. But tonight that all changed. Stopped on my way home and ordered the mint chocolate chip. They replaced the chocolate chunks with chocolate flakes. I was so disappointed. It tasted Just like all the ice cream shops. Please go back to the old recipe. read more

Wow. This is the best ice cream I've ever had. I there was an infinity star rating I'd have to give it. Every flavor out of the ten I've tried, (I go there a lot) was sweet, delicious, and never in the least low quality. CCCD made with REAL cookie dough! You cna't go wrong with any of the graham flavors either. The flavors that are kind of wacky rotate out from either being too soft or out or even just as daily specials. Bring Your Own Banana Thursdays are cool too! It's always packed, even in the dead of winter! read more
