We were in the area, running errands, and we decided to swing into this location. We were greeted and assisted by the very friendly Tracy. My hubby had recently signed up for and downloaded the Starbucks rewards app, and, just our luck, there was a $2 off a drink reward available to use, so we did! Tracy also informed us that through the app, she's noticed that Starbucks seems to send out "buy one, get one" offers on Thursdays, so keep an eye on the app. On this day, we ordered two tried and true favorites: the Caramel Frappuccino and a Chai Tea Latte (with a twist). During winter last year, we discovered the Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai Latte and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, it is seasonal and went out of rotation. Thankfully, a wonderful barista out in Las Vegas shared a concoction that we can order throughout the year, and it tastes just like it! It's ordered as a "Brown Sugar Vanilla Oatmilk Chai Latte." It's fantastic! Happily, across the nation, Starbucks has been consistent with our favorite drinks. This Starbucks is no exception. We loved the dog friendly patio at this location as well. I was yelled at by the clerk telling me to stop recording her. I was not recording her, I was talking on FaceTime with my brother showing him the city and the Icecream shop. The way this lady spoke to me was rude and disrespectful. I understand not wanting to be recorded, but it's about how you speak to people when you are in a service position. I told her we would not patronize the shop and my mom and I left. The tone and look on her face was not welcoming and had no kindness to it. I strongly believe if I were not black, the way she spoke to us would have been different. I know when the anger from a person is unwarranted and comes from a place of hate. My friends have said good things about this place so I decided to try it for the first time a couple months ago. I had no idea what to get, so I got the Iced Chai Latte. It was decent, it wasn't bad by any means but it wasn't amazing. For me, it was a little too sweet and you could tell that it was from a powder or pre-made mix. And I know Scooter's doesn't advertise that they make authentic Chai, but it was just alright to me. I knew that I'd be back though to try again. This time, I ordered a Turtle Blender and made it sugar free. And this time, I knew I did it right. I have no complaints, the drink was not too sweet and tasted really good. I loved my blended coffee drink and I'd absolutely come back and try their other blended drinks, however the Turtle Blender is hard to surpass for me personally. I always park and order at the window instead of going through the drive-thru. There's a bunch of parking spots anyways and wait time is very quick too. The ciabatta egg and bacon sandwich and a breakfast sausage sandwich on an everything bagel. Both delish and piping hot. I'd both of these up against any Sbux morning for option.
