When given the choice, I'd prefer to support mom and pop coffee shops, but for whatever reason, finding flavorful chai tea lattes and non-espresso based drinks at small-time coffee shops nowadays has been very difficult. One thing I can rely on with Starbucks is that they do offer brewed coffee based drinks (not just espresso based drinks) and a particular, very flavorful Chai tea latte. We were in the area, running errands, and we decided to swing into this location. We were greeted and assisted by the very friendly Tracy. My hubby had recently signed up for and downloaded the Starbucks rewards app, and, just our luck, there was a $2 off a drink reward available to use, so we did! Tracy also informed us that through the app, she's noticed that Starbucks seems to send out "buy one, get one" offers on Thursdays, so keep an eye on the app. On this day, we ordered two tried and true favorites: the Caramel Frappuccino and a Chai Tea Latte (with a twist). During winter last year, we discovered the Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai Latte and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, it is seasonal and went out of rotation. Thankfully, a wonderful barista out in Las Vegas shared a concoction that we can order throughout the year, and it tastes just like it! It's ordered as a "Brown Sugar Vanilla Oatmilk Chai Latte." It's fantastic! Happily, across the nation, Starbucks has been consistent with our favorite drinks. This Starbucks is no exception. We loved the dog friendly patio at this location as well. I ordered a grande tea via mobile pick up order tonight. My app said it would be ready at 5:55. I arrived at 6:00. It was not ready yet- no problem. After waiting another five minutes, I went up to the counter to make sure my order was actually received. The barista very coldly said she would check on it. I never saw her check anything. Another five minutes goes by and I asked again. She then tells me she's waiting on tea bags. News to me! Finally at 6:15 my drink is ready- 20 minutes after it was scheduled to be ready. I was surprised by how fast they turn out the drinks here. This is a pretty busy starbucks, serving a couple hotels and the commuter highways. The employees have all been friendly, energetic and efficient. Unlike other locations, at this Starbucks, the drinks wait for the customers to come get them. Consistently gets my order wrong at least half the time, and the only variation in my drink order is no whipped cream. Apparently, asking their employees to read the label that they print and put on the cup is too much to ask for. Perhaps "no whip" is too cryptic and difficult to comprehend. Maybe they have a work program where they hire the blind. If these employees want a raise, let them know they can talk when they figure out how to follow basic instructions. I come here all the time and usually I have pretty good service. But recently there was this new lady I hadn't seen taking orders for the drive thru. I come up and place my usual order which is an iced matcha latte with almond milk. I order this all the time. I pull up to get my drink and it's hot. I tell her I ordered it iced. This older lady had the audacity to say "I asked you if you wanted it hot or iced". First of all she did not. I know my usual order. And secondly why was she almost whining when she said that. She acted like it was the end of the world and that it was such a bother to make it again (the correct way). Mind you she wasn't the one making the drink. I wanted to tell her that she was too old to be whining and acting like that especially if she was the one who didn't take my order correctly. Maybe she should've repeated it back instead of rushing me forward. If you can't handle the pressure of the drive through then don't work there maybe ‍ Please don't confuse this rude lady with the blonde one. The blonde older lady is actually super nice and sweet. I love coming here as the service is always quick. I usually place a mobile order ahead of time and its always ready at the counter to pick up. A Strawberry Crème Frappuccino + shot coffee. Tastes like a dark chocolate covered strawberry. He suggested the refreshers because they have as much caffeine as a soda. I said I didn't like them. I ordered egg bites literally had a conversation with the employee about which eggbites to get at the drive-through I couldn't do my payment it's a drive through a had to do it inside and when I went to pay she didn't put in the order for the egg bites then I had to wait even longer to get the food I was expecting things to be quick but I just got a nasty attitude from the child with 12 nose rings at the register and it took even longer than it should have she told me to wait at the other end of the store because i was waiting near the oven when she could easily just hand me the food across the counter so I can hurry up and leave because as I said I was already in a hurry and she got an attitude with me you don't have to hand me the food across the store you can hand it to me after it's out of the oven it is not that big of a deal read more

This Starbucks is wonderful! The staff is great and knows me by name - they know almost all of the customers and are friends. I go here everyday to study and actually am able to get a lot of work done. Not sure why this place is marked as closed because I'm there everyday. This location has been fairly good, but service has always been a bit slower than most. Nothing major. But today I waited 35 minutes for a passion tango tea...literally ice, water, and tea in a cup. When I complained to the manager he apologized and said we are making handcrafted drinks and doing our best. When I asked if that was all he could say he simply apologized again. In the past when things have gone awry I've gotten a coupon for the $4 off a drink. When I mentioned the free drink he said it was against company policy to do that. Although, in fairness he had offered right before that to refund my drink (hmm, but free drinks are against company policy) but I refused. As a customer I should not have to tell a manager what should be done to make a customer want to frequent your store. I simply walked away and said I wouldn't be back. Ooltewah has lots of food options. And even a couple of other coffee shop options. I will be frequenting those from now on. If you want slow service come here. This is how horrible customer service wrecks your business. I could see the woman waiting in front of three empty 4-drink carriers when I came in. But it never occurred to me they'd make all her drinks, drinks for two people who came in after me, and about 20 drive-through orders before my single latte. I was on a work call so distracted while I waited, but I waited more than 20 MINUTES for this single latte!! Like I said, somehow two people who ordered after me got their drinks, but the explanation I get is "12-drink order - busy drive through." They need a better system to accommodate for this nonsense. 12 drinks and 20 cars while I stand and wait for a single latte? no no no. just went to this starbucks literally 2 minutes ago and i had to review my experience asap. I ordered a turkey bacon, cheese, and egg white breakfast sandwich and it was HORRIBLE. the cheese was entirely not on the sandwich- and what cheese was there was stuck to the inside of the paper bag, my egg white was FROZEN in the center. frozen. i cannot make this up. i bit into a crunch of ice and water. the turkey bacon was average and the whole sandwich was trash. don't go here. read more

The Ooltewah, Tennessee, Starbucks, kindly donates to the Lord's Harvest Food Pantry which distributes food in Trenton, Georgia. It is always a joy helping needy and hungry people in our community but this week, September 11, 2021, was extra special. At the end of our line we had a lady with eight children, including two homeless kids that the family recently took in. She didn't want to "take too much food if there were others in more needs" than their family. At the end of the distribution we were able to offer her all the leftover food. She was more than appreciative. The Starbucks in Ooltewah as well as the Publix, and kind help from many volunteers, make this possible monthly. Since this is a new location of course it is very clean. My drinks have come out as ordered but my low marks are due to the really slow service. Today I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes, there were 7 people working behind the counter and not so much as an acknowledgment that I was there and that someone would be with me shortly. I decided to post this because this seems to be the norm for this location after hearing similar experiences from friends. This is a simple fix, I can understand being busy, Starbucks is usually takes time in prepping orders but don't consistently ignore a waiting customer until you are ready to talk to them. read more

This is a great Starbucks in terms of comfortability and area. The layout is both modern and aesthetic. The baristas never disappoint whether they make coffee, tea, lemonade, or a nice cold cup of water. The environment for studying is great although the music can be a little loud.
