Sunday Football with plenty of TV's great sound system. I really enjoyed their spacious seating,and they have hooks for hanging your purse! Thank you to the design team,that's really nice for us ladies! As for the service,ptetty attentive. We sat at bar,and ordered drinks & pizza. All was delivered quick. Wow VERY large slice of pizza,only need 1 slice to fill you up. I had the O.G (pepperoni) n hubby had the supreme. You can taste the roasted peppers! Next time,I'm trying the pizza blanco. Gonna recommend this place as "Family Friendly" as I did see a few babies. The place does have plenty of games,so great for adult or teens to be entertained. I'm gonna have to try the air hockey table,looks fun. They have a patio area,looks big enough to host a private party. I have to say,aside from not having their own parking,I still will make the drive to enjoy the food. All was delicious,reasonable prices and great service. My first exp with this place was extremely positive. Ordered off of grub hub. Came well made, well packaged and still hot. The Detroit style pizza had some of the goopiest cheese you could ever imagine. Very delicious. 9/10 on the pizza. Where they really stand out is the wings though. When most places say they have really spicy wings, they are usually mean spicy for the common folk. These wings are for heat seekers. Straight heatonists. These wings are well over 1m SHU. And those weren't even the challenge wings! I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. I will for sure be ordering from here again. read more

By far the best pizza in town with an incredible tap list. Super chill vibe and a great place catch a sports game. Family friendly and the staff are top-notch friendly. The cauliflower crust pizza is off the hook and a welcomed option. They got some darn good local hot sauces as well! read more

Note: This place is pay by the slice. I think people get thrown off by this version of pizza selling nowadays where you have tons of fresh pizza, and express pizza. This one is different for sure. I'm fine with it and i think some people reviewing find it off to them. The pizza is pretty good. It's not the same as NY pizza, but its decent enough. Service is great and the crowd was steady. Great place to just hang, chill and watch the game. There are multiple games to play, like air hockey, darts, big connect four, and other games. read more

Today was my first time visiting The Bowery. A friend was celebrating his birthday at this fine place with great lighting,Cold beer and delicious Food both items I tried of their menu were more than just good they were filled with flavor and pizza was crunchy all the way to the last bite. I have to say I'm very impressed with the pizza being served here. I found my new favorite place for Pizza,Beer and football. I don't live anywhere near this area but I have family who does and I'm definitely recommending this place to them and even bring them. This is some of the best pizza I have ever had. I love NY style pizza and you can tell that they have chosen nothing but the highest quality in ingredients. Love the new layout of the place ! The bar mixed with games for the kids is perfect for families. The food was good too! Why 3 stars first I order a salad 5 piece of pizza and 2 drinks and before tip spent 65 dollars. I ordered the truffle pizza but they did not have prices anywhere .. SO I was shocked when I paid . The truffle pizza was definitely worth it but still it was a sticker shock. Also the timing of food was not good. We had to wait for the slices and had to keep remind them what we ordered. Hopefully they get the kinks out the food atmosphere is cool. read more

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, but the food is subpar to say the least. My friend and I split two slices of pizza and a Caesar salad (tried to order garlic knots, but they weren't available yet though they're listed on the menu). The pizza was very disappointing. We got a slice of pesto and a slice of pepperoni. They were a bit dry and the crust was like biting into a cracker; you could tell they weren't fresh. The salad was okay. You can't really mess up a salad. It was pretty big as well, so that's a plus I guess. Also FYI the food is pretty pricey. $8 for a soda and a slice of pizza. $21 for a slice, a soda, and the salad. Not surprising considering the location and vibe they're for though. Overall I'd say this place has potential... didn't try the beer so maybe that's its saving grace. read more

My husband & I went here for the second time last night. The first time, we were there with friends & got the (HUGE) Taco pizza. It was delicious & we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Last night they were offering slices of cheese or pepperoni for $3.14 each for Pi Day. I am so thankful they had this special, because I probably wouldn't have ordered those 'regular' flavors without it, & I never would have known what I know now: Their pepperoni pizza is probably the BEST pizza I've EVER had. I have had alllll kinds of pizza from all kinds of places. There is really no bad pizza. But: GET THIS PIZZA. The sauce & the crust are life changing. I used the word "phenomenal" for the first time ever. The cheese was amazing too! Tons of great beers on tap! Super nice owner who talked to us for a while before we left! First point of note: The "large" size here is much larger than what you would get at say, a Pizza Hut or Papa John's. Just take that into account if you order 2 larges pizzas like we did and then went "holy crap" with all the pizza we ended up with. Anyway, the pizza was very tasty. As a few other reviews have mentioned, we thought the crust was a little dry but honestly because the serving size was so huge we didn't feel guilty not eating the crust. I can't really comment on the atmosphere because we ordered pick up but they have a spattering of arcade games and pinball machines, music and tvs to watch. Also what appears to be a pretty solid beer on tap selection. Will definitely return at a later time. read more

If your looking for something different in a pizza this is the place for you. The pizza is good and unique but not really worth the cost. If your into a traditional pepperoni you may be disappointed with the price. Although they do have the largest pepperonis in town. read more

This is great, came here for the first time with friends and family including 3 kids. Pizza is delicious! I got a 16in pepperoni and mushroom that I shared with my sister and we ate only half because the slices are huge. They have a good selection of craft beer but I got a Pepsi since I was driving and had my daughter with me. They have foosball, darts, air hockey and other games there to play. The place is actually bigger than it looks from the outside. The staff were great as well very friendly and our food came out piping hot, didn't take long at all. Fried zucchini was also ordered and hot wings, I didn't get to taste that but my family said it was really good! Trust me when I say we will be back. read more

Thursday College nights!! $1 beer for Coors or Bud light, one of those I think. I got like 6 beers for myself x)! I got a pizza slice, a Rolling Rock beer glass and a shot of crown royal for the price of $9, not too shabby, especially for Alcoholics out there. But a single slice of pizza for like $8 or more, might as well order Pizza Hut and tell them to deliver here and eat it before or afterwards. The Bowery kinda does have a little something of everything, like drinking is good, ambience is modern hip hop or music people listen to these days, they have Jenga, air hockey table, darts game and a change machine for your dollars for the games. It's all a kickback spot to hang out with your crew or a group of guys. Would come back here only on a Thursday. Any other days are good, but I prefer a Thursday. My preference. read more

I've only been here once but it was on my BDay so the experience was lit! We happened to attend on a Sunday when they had karaoke night and it was simply amazing. Great atmosphere and the pizza was legit, nice crust and the cheese had that old school mom and pops thickness and taste. There's something about the outdoor space here that makes Bootleggers feel like a little beer oasis tucked just far enough away from the hustle of downtown Fullerton. There are plenty of covered tables, lots of shade, and a large, permanently covered section with a giant TV showing sports and other important television events. When they have live music, it's usually the kind that actually improves the atmosphere rather than taking it over, you know, good musicians, good music, but still chill enough that you can have a conversation. And, of course, there's the beer. They have a really solid and diverse selection, with several IPAs, stouts, seltzers, and other options usually available, plus a selection of beers from other local breweries. It's hard to imagine coming here and not finding something you like. If you can't you're just an openly hostile person. Consider meditation. There's a food truck parked along the side that has basically become part of the Bootleggers landscape. And while outside food is no longer allowed, that's not really a hardship because the food is actually pretty damn good. The sandwiches, salads, and other offerings are all solid, but the fried pickles are the real reason I keep coming back. They're cut lengthwise, breaded just right, and fried until they're perfectly crunchy. Basically big, tart, crunchy submarines of fair food fun. I have a difficult time going to Bootleggers without ordering them. Every. Single. It's close enough to downtown Fullerton to walk to, but just far enough off the beaten path that the patio feels removed from the usual bar scene chaos. The street is nearby, but you barely notice it. It's just a nice place to sit outside, drink a good beer, listen to some music, watch a game, and hang out for a while. Sometimes you don't need another crowded bar with loud music and a $16 cocktail. Sometimes you just want a good beer, some shade, and a plate of ridiculously good fried pickles. Bootleggers does that really well.

The atmosphere goes from lively and loud to quiet and solitary, again depending upon when you visit. Lastly, they're open from 6:00AM-2:00AM. They're not just there when the hipsters are around, they're there for you whenever you make the bad decision of using alcohol as an anesthetic. I am not sure if it was vegan or if there was real yogurt on this meal, but it was honestly one of the best gyros I have ever had outside of Tarpon Springs! So good in fact that I had to try to recreate it back at home for dinner.

Joe, the owner, is fantastic and you can tell how much pride he puts into this place. The staff is always welcoming, and it feels like more than just a restaurant--it feels like a spot that truly values its customers. The menu is full of winners, but our go-to favorites are the hot wings, the meatball sub, the chicken fettuccine, and the zucchini fries (so good!). Of course, the pizzas are unbeatable--crispy crust, bold flavors, and always perfect with one of their many craft beers on tap. What makes The Bowery even more special is that it's great for families. Our son loves coming here, and it's become one of our go-to spots for an easy night out where everyone leaves happy. The pizza is delicious and the karaoke is amazing. The people who run the karaoke are the only reason I come to this bar. Although I'm not sure I'll be back after witnessing the owner hugging and shaking hands with a gentle man with an anti-trans shirt and a couple with a guy wearing a trump shirt that said "Trump is the calling of god." I'm usually pretty neutral when I'm out having a good time, but tell me you don't give a shit about the world around you without telling me you don't give a shit! Capitalism and money is all that matters here i suppose. I don't want to be in an environment where I feel afraid to come back to because of who I am, or my beliefs. If ai could do zero stars I would. Went with a party of 4 on a weekend evening to celebrate my birthday. Walked in around 9 for karaoke. No more than 5 minutes in a bald headed white supremacist looking bouncer said he we would be refused service because 2 of us "staggered in". I explained it was due to arthritic knee issues but he didn't care. He was SPECIFICALLY targeting the hispanic people in our group. There were a lot of white people in that establishment and what a surprise that our white friend in our party was served without any issue. read more

I visited this place a while back. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a story about a group. The group is SoCal Transplants. When I visited, the group was pushy. The group was giving strips of paper to join. The group is open to the public. The organizers who were hosting before were way better. read more

There was a DJ, extremely loud music, and a host who continuously provided her own commentary throughout the match. Instead of allowing fans to enjoy the game, she repeatedly interrupted play with jokes, personal observations, and constant microphone chatter that distracted from the match. Halftime was especially frustrating. Rather than preparing for the second half, the host performed multiple songs while fans on the patio were asking for the match audio to be turned on. Even after the game resumed, the unnecessary commentary continued for the remainder of the match. To make matters worse, there was a $30 cover charge. I purchased tickets for my entire group in advance, spending well over $200 before food and drinks. For that price, I expected a venue that understood people were there to watch one of the biggest sporting events in the world--not to watch the host become the center of attention. A great World Cup watch party lets the match create the atmosphere. The crowd, the chants, the tension, and the emotion are what make these events memorable. Unfortunately, those moments were constantly interrupted. I genuinely wanted to like Chako's Social, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. If you're looking for a true football viewing experience where the game comes first, I cannot recommend it based on my visit.
