First time here and everything we had was delicious. I had a muddled berry drink that was fantastic. The house salad was packed with flavors. Both the steak and prime rib excellent. From the moment we parked I knew this place was special!! So cute from the outside not a single detail was missed! Then you walk inside and it's it's stunning. Modern chic vibe throughout! Abby was our waitress and had some wonderful recommendations! We had the pesto bites and I tried the espresso martini and it was delicious! We both had burgers but that was a hard decision since everything sounded delicious! We ended getting the berry tart for dessert to go, since we were stuffed. What a delightful place! A real surprise. The menu is extensive and the food was delicious. Must try the yam fries and the garlic prawns. Service was attentive and sweet. We lacked for nothing. As you look at your wife you see her heart is filled with joy in just the few moments it took to walk to your seat. The hostess ask you right away "what would you like to drink this evening?" and takes your drink order with a smile. As she returns with you beverages she gracefully asks if you've had time to decide what you'd like for dinner. When the main course arrives and you've taken your first two bites you realize...the culinary professionals have absolutely captured the tastefulness of the Pacific Northwests cuisine. Your tastebuds dance with joy as wonder burst of flavors erupt on palate. You once again turn your attention to your wife as she explains "This is exactly what I needed." The hostess returns to your table and asks "How is everything tasting tonight." You explain to her that "words cannot explain how wonderful it all is." The hostess light and delightful conversation almost makes it feel like you're her only responsibility for the night, even though the restaurant is bustling with energy and wonderfully light music. I've eaten twice here now while my bf, his dad and I visited his mom in Everson. Exactly a year ago, the place had a dance floor and cool Halloween decors. The service was awesome and the gal that served us was pretty funny! They had the crazy skeleton hand and other dark decors along with red lights/lamps and a purple/dark ambience. I got the prime rib dinner then and it was DELICIOUS! They only serve it starting at 5pm and have key days when they serve it, believe it's Weds-Sunday. Fast forward to a year later, and just this past weekend, had this AMAZING mimosa kind of beer and the prime rib dip sandwich! Their fries were good and they had this appetizer that was crusted chicken with a a kickin' Korean bbq sauce! They definitely added more light and tables to the area so some sort of remodeling did happen. Bc Everson is a small town, this place doesn't really get crowded, it's actually been quiet with not a lot of people around the times we've been....but food and such are more than satisfying! read more

I love this place a lot I really like the food and drinks.. on the other hand I feel like service hasn't been as great we have had Naomi the past few times now and she takes a very long time to greet us and bring us drinks.. after we order food we get it and she never checks on us and never sees if we need more refills... she will walk right by without even looking to see if our waters are empty or if we want anything else.. it sucks because I really like coming here but if I keep getting her as my sever I do not want to come back!! read more

I hate to leave bad reviews. This one is meant to provide feedback for the owner. I was very disappointed in the clam pasta dish. It came as a bowl of pasta with clams but none of the other ingredients listed on the menus. No garlic, butter,shallots, chili or otherwise. Absolutely bland and carelessly prepared. My father ordered the prime rib dip with grilled peppers and there was a single slice of green pepper on his entire sandwich. The service was ok but sadly there was only one server for the entire place and we had to bus and wipe down our table in order to take a seat. The place has potential and a good menu but clearly the cook doesn't seem to care about what is being delivered. read more

It's always nice being greeted with a smiling face and a sincere welcome! And, what an amazing restaurant inside offering great seating choices and a cozy, well decorated atmosphere! What a nice touch to be provided a dish of olives, pepperoncinis, and sausage, all on the house! Excellent selection of drinks too. My wife loved the Carbonara, creamy, peppery, and full of pancetta. I enjoyed my 12 ounce New York Steak, pretty good for only $27. Overall, the amazing team and their kind service made us feel extra special. The selections were full of delicious flavors and generous in size. Looking forward to going back! The only slight adjustment might be the volume of the music. It's a bit on the loud side for me. We chose The Bourbon for a date night because they were serving Prime Rib and being locals we like to support local.It was our first time visiting this establishment. My hubby and I are PR hounds and have pretty much tried every PR in Whatcom County !! Which it was great to find out that they serve PR Friday & Saturday night !! Love the romantic atmosphere for couples and for groups the boothes have plenty of room. Nice outdoor area too. Salad was fresh and tasty. Prime Rib was cooked to perfection. Delicious baked potato. Green beans are young, fresh and soooo good. Horseradish will knock your socks off and we love that. My hubby had a Bloody Mary and I had one of their specialty drinks. Both tasted really good and we would have had a second but we were soooo full. We will be back, guaranteed !! read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE We called ahead to let the restaurant know we had a party of 11 coming in. They had a table ready for us, so that was a plus. The one girl working the front took our drink orders, then... nothing. We were there for 40 minutes and no drinks, no communication about what was going on, nothing. The parts that bothered me the most: 1) People who came in after us were served drinks quickly, within minutes of sitting down. 2) The server did not, in the 40 minutes we were there, communicate with us. It's okay to be unexpectedly busy. It's NOT okay to ignore a party of 11 with hungry kids wondering if they're going to have to wait 2 hours to eat or not. For a place that is trying to look like upscale dining, this was a very bad look. Not worth it. read more

I am not much on reviewing eateries, but after just returning from here tonight, I wanted to comment while fresh in my mind: Food was very good for the most part. The Garlic Prawns and the Calamari were delicious, but at over $15/each, I expected more than 5, average size 2-Spot shrimp. 2 of us had the Thursday Special, bbq ribs. Fall off bone tender and quite good! The Garlic Green Beans were incredible! Service- Here is where the wheels fell off. It took almost an hour to get our entrees. Place was not all that busy. Waitress very rarely made an appearance. When our entrees finally arrived, we were told "sorry, but the baked potatoes are not done. They will be out in a minute". We dawdled, then finally ate our entire meal. We got our potatoes when we asked for our check!! Also, rolls came with our entrees. Plain, dry rolls. No butter was brought or even offered. This was my 1st time eating here, and my wife & son's 2nd. They reported the service was just as horrible the 1st time. I love to support a local, non-chain restaurant, but we will not be back any time soon. read more

Was here recently for the music bingo. It was a lot of fun, the host was awesome, and the cards were only $1 per card to play. Prizes were given to the winners of each round. Service during the games for food and drinks was excellent. Never needed to track anyone down for service. The food was excellent as well. Will be back for more. read more

First time eating from this place & I got to say the customer service was pretty amazing. I ordered to go so I didn't get to experience the dine in part but it's a very nice looking bar. As for the food, the burger was amazing! Not too big a fan of the fish and chips as it looked like the fish was just breaded square fillet pieces instead of fresh battered fish. The regular fries & yam fries were pretty good. I will be visiting again & try some different foods for more experience. read more

As promised, we went back for lunch today. Different server today, and all was fine. There were 3 of us, and we all had Walla Walla burgers. I added bacon. Well, because BACON. Oh. My. Gawd. Best burger in Whatcom County - I kid you not. Delicious meat, not overdone. Perfectly grilled onions. The pub bun was great! So amazing. Fries were nice and crispy with a little Johnny's seasoning. Yum. Only issue this time was the ladies room was not ready for prime time... no TP and paper towels on the floor. Quickly rectified, but still. The devil is in the details.... INITIAL REVIEW 6/2/2018 - This place is where KC's Bar & Grill was, and Bobby Lee's before that. I really, really want this place to be amazing, as it's the closest watering hole to our house. Well, not so much. I had high hopes!! I stopped by in January 2018 just to see what was changing. Was told they were cleaning it up and would have a new menu. Bigger stage for live music, trivia night, karaoke nights with Bobby Lee, and most importantly, they were going to keep the famous gizzards on the menu. I liked their Facebook page and see that they have music fairly regularly, and it seems to be a nice variety- country, rock, and even jazz. Trivia every other Tuesday. Karaoke Wednesday and Friday, Live Music or DJ's on Saturdays Went last Saturday night to see Dakota Poorman, a PNW country artist. The music was great! And they really have cleaned the place up. All new furniture (although it is ALL hightop tables) including comfy barstools. The new stage is great with a decent sized dance floor, too. The walls have been redone and aren't cluttered with junk. However, they have taken gizzards off the menu. Actually, they have marked through gizzards on the menu. That's right, they are still using menus that say KC's Bar & Grill and they have just marked through with a Sharpie the things they don't sell anymore. No gizzards, no clam chowder, no Taquitos, etc. No new items have been added. We ended up not eating there. Okay, so I can forgive the gizzards being removed. What I cannot forgive is HORRIBLE service. I literally had to stand up and flag down a waitress to get a beer. And she acted like we were imposing on her to get a beer. After that, she never stopped by again, even though she passed by several times. I ended up having to go to the bar to get our Beers. Packed house for the band and one person working the floor. Yet she found tIme to stop and talk with people. This lack of service will end up being their downfall - last I checked, bars make their money in beverage sales. They aren't even trying. Oh, and FYI, they serve Pepsi products, not Coke. We won't be going here on the nights that I am DD!! And I also don't really get the name... it's called The Bourbon... but it is not a whisky bar; no featured small batch bourbons...? And I can't get a Bourbon and COKE? No Coke, Pepsi. A friend of ours used to be a regular at the two previous establishments. He says the new owners don't seem to care about the core local "regulars" that come in during the week to have a burger and beer and BS with each other. He also mentioned that the service has really declined. I hope they get things figured out. If not, at least the next owners will start with better furniture. read more

Food was decent, but not the same prices or items as they showed on their online menu. Which was what brought us into the restaurant to start with. We stayed to try it anyway, but wish we didn't. The restaurant was not busy and it still took at least 25 minutes to get our order. Which came out at different times for each person in our group. I had the wonderful experience of coming across this amazing location while visiting family up north. I'm from Seattle. The drinks were fantastic with a large selection. We went with the salmon dip (warm) it was a special. We then went with the pan fried oysters and it was MOUTH WATERING!!! YUMMMMM!!!! Fast service with friendly staff. Ok, this place has changed hands a few times and now is called the bourbon bar and grill. Cool design and decoration. New high tables and chairs are cool. The drinks were good, the food great. The price is a little high but realistically within a buck or two. Since the food was so good, and so was the service, it's hard to complain about the price. Just for reference, my wife and I split a meal, my son had fish and chips and my daughter had chicken strips, we also had 4 drinks and a lemonade. That all came to $85. Again, all the food was great. The only advise I would have is for adding some airflow. It was a hot muggy day and it was every bit of that inside there. The cool part is too, kids are welcome in there until 9:00. read more

We came here on a recommendation of a friend. We love burgers, craft beers and divey joints that are local folks. Parking was OK, we snagged a street spot just down from the front door. There is outside/sidewalk tables. but we headed in. It's low light but nice and clean. Taylor said just sit anywhere and we grabbed a table on the left wall. The lighting was weird...lots over the first two tables and down the hall but we managed to get the ONE with no light...LOL. We ordered some nachos to share while we checked out the burger offerings. Honey got the Mt. St Helen's and I got The Volcano. We live on the edge when it comes to burgers. I got mine medium and Honey well done. The nacho size was perfect to share and cold craft beers were just the ticket. The burgers are cooked to order so just sit back and relax...you won't the disappointed. HUGE juicy burgers seasoned and piled high with deliciousness. Had I known my burger would be so thick, I would have ordered it well done; it was a touch too rare for the average burger person. Knife and fork burgers for sure! The house sauce is delicious! I got the fries and Honey got onion rings..so good! I heard that it had been recently remodeled and it was really nice, comfortable and chic divey. Definitely going to be a weekend favorite when we want to take a nice drive to the country. read more
