I would also say that the vintage selection is very reasonably priced for being curated vintage items... you really are paying for the organized eclectic curation of the fabulous owners. I ended up talking with one of the owners for quite some time... if you get the chance, make it a point to chat with her. I didn't catch her name but we got chatting for quite some time. Especially in pandemic times- having a nice, wholesome conversation with someone you don't know too well is quite rare. Local artists, unique commercial homewares and curios abound in this eye popping boutique. Back in the day I bought some wrought iron cross sconces, frames and a monolithic stone seagod mirror. The sconces live on in my basement. The mirror is weathering away in the backyard(it's simply to heavy to hang on a wall). Today I was waiting for Aurora Farms to open so I walked the dog in the newly revitalized Kent. A lot of shops I remember from back when are gone(Spin More, Lassoo the Moon), but the Works is still here. I HAD to go. Lately I've been making most of my monolithic home furnishings, but I felt a little knick knack purchase was in order. I found a darling pearlescent picture frame for 20 bucks. One of life's cold hard rules: you do NOT leave this store empty handed. There are similar stores in Cleveland, but nothing of this magnitude. It takes at least a half hour to take it all in. The clerks(owners?) are always super friendly. A great place to buy gifts or maybe just some retail therapy to brighten your otherwise depressing Ohioan existence.

The price was great, but they do not accept credit cards so instead of outright purchasing the instrument in full, I financed it through a financing company they obviously promote at a high interest rate for I was going to pay it off next month or two anyway. With that said, I just received a notice, October 18th via email that my order has been cancelled due to no inventory. So now I probably have to deal with this Financing company while my order has been cancelled. Very frustrating for I was really looking forward to this instrument. Great used book store!…read more My son is just starting to read, he loves books. Even though we have tons at home I like to keep his motivation going by buying new books for him to read. He loved looking through the books to find something he would enjoy. The lady at the front desk was also very helpful helping us navigate the store and sections. Kids books were about $2 and other books varied in price but all seemed reasonable for good condition books.

I left with 11 kids books for only $16 and my husband got 9 books for about $20. Many of the kids books were outdated but if you dig you can find some goodies. Plus, nonfiction is often a safe bet.
