I went to this store a few times now ( I recently adopted a cat ) and I like the store for a few…read morereasons . One : It is very clean and tidy. Two: Well organized and stocked . Just before I got my cat, I went in to get a few things and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I cant remember her name but she recommended a scratching post , which brand of litter to use and other things I needed . One thing I really appreciated was she did not oversell or push products that I may not need - I like that better than pushy sales reps. The staff there are very knowledgeable of their products- especially since I never owned a cat before so having someone tell me about things I needed was very helpful. The other thing is their bathrooms ( it says a lot about the store ) and it was super clean. Overall I like the store and the wide variety of products .

This is probably the worst Petland I've been to. The staff members, not including the manager, are…read morefriendly and knowledgeable and deserve recognition. However, the manager is horrid. She is quite rude and doesn't seem to enjoy helping customers. I've been here a few times, as I thought maybe the first or second times where just coincidences. However I quickly learned that the manager's everyday mood is miserable. She provides no smile whatsoever, and when you ask her a question she simply says "sorry I've never heard of that" which may be true, but she puts no effort into looking into products for the customer. The overall store is quite tidy, and the shelves are normally well stocked, however I wouldn't suggest going to this location if you don't want to feel stupid and annoying via the manager's tone. Caution: the store also does not turn off their open sign right away and leaves their doors unlocked even when they are closed, and if you are like me and in a hurry I assumed that they were open. I walked in, even smiled at the manager (obviously she just stared at me blankly, however that's her norm so I never gave it a second thought). Once I had picked my items, 2 chew toys for my pup, I walked up to the till where she stood with her arms crossed. I asked her how she was and she responded rudely with "you know we're closed, right?" At this point, other customers were still coming into the store. I would consider myself a pretty reasonable person, and if she were to have said "sorry we actually just closed" I would've walked out no problem. But instead of using common sense, she decided to let me shop, go to the check out and make a rude statement about how they were closed. I ended up leaving without making my purchase. I left because of the overwhelming feeling of embarrassment and stupidity. This has not been the only rude interaction with her, this is just my most recent. Honestly go to another location where you can receive some friendly customer service. (Again, the part time staff are great but their manager completely ruins it all.)

Bullet's always super excited when we go on our bi-monthly visit to Pet Planet. He just loves walking into the store and picking out the exact treats he wants. (Yes I do spoil him to much sometimes) They have a marvelous selection of dog and cat food. Dry, canned, frozen, raw...whatever types you can think of-they'll have it! The staff they have employed there (including the store owner/manager) are all SO NICE, polite, professional and helpful. If I ever have any questions about anything, the staff is always available to answer them and give me recommendations. AJ, Christine and Lindsey if you're reading this, thank you for all the help you've given me! Most recently was when I asked them what I should do about Bullets nonstop shedding? They recommended I try "The Furminator" to help remove all that extra hair. I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $50 on a dog brush, but I took her advice and bought it. I went directly home after to try it out, and see if it really worked as good as she said it would. WOW! Was she ever right about it! I couldn't believe how amazing this thing actually was. How I ever survived without a brush like this, for as many years as I did just baffles me! His shedding went from a 10/10 (His fur being everywhere!) down to a 2/10 (Hardly sheds at all) If you live in Beaumont, Leduc or South Edmonton, you definitely have to drop by and see this store. I know you won't regret it!

It's literally across the street instead of wasting at least 30 min to go to Edmonton and back. They have a great selection of dog toys as well and I've bought a bunch in hopes that my dog will chew on them instead of my house... so far its about 80/20 lol... he really likes the toys. My little guy also really likes the chicken jerky that we got a sample of last time that we were in the store after his nail cuts... I don't even know if he chewed it, it was more of an inhale lol. I also have to do a shout out for Pet Planet supplying the free dog bags at the Beaumont dog park. It is nice to have them there when I forget to bring mine! There are a lot of people who take advantage of using them... so thanks so much!!

So far this shop has helped me with: - housetraining (one of my dogs was untrained and a year old when I got her; not fun) - pet beds - junk-free treats/bones - improving my cat's health through a better diet - probiotics for my younger dog - safe outdoor and indoor dog toys Shop at a place you can trust and support local!

Sadie's is a small boutique pet shop tucked away in the Lendrum Shopping Centre, close to the Subway side of the strip mall. They specialize mostly in cat and dog stuff but you can still find some other small pet stuff for fish, birds, guinea pigs, etc. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. They do grooming in the back but I have never used the service so can't provide any useful info on that. All in all it is a great small pet shop to check out if you are in the area!
