So we have been here now 3 times. Our first 2 trips were us sitting in store to experience things. Honestly my husband and I were shocked with the food and speed of service our first time. Our second trip was slightly slower but it was a lot busier. Both of us having worked in restaurants we understood that with as many people as were there the time might be a bit longer. Still was not outrageous and the quality was well worth it. It was the first time we took our son and he loved it. Today I was wanting this but being 7 months pregnant and had no real desire to dine in. So looking to place an order online led me to order something new. We ordered the biscuit 2X4 box. Which for the price was much more affordable. My husband and I had talked about the amount we have ordered in the past and how much more it was (well worth the money honestly). However today we wanted it to be easier. Having 4 different types of biscuits with 2 each worked out well for us. We also got an order of the biscuit bites to bring home after signing up for the notifications and rewards. Honestly this may be what we do for awhile. The process to pick up the order was seamless. The QUALITY just as good as when we dine in store. Honestly this is a rare thing. Most places you get the food soggy or not as good. The box is easy to bring home and it was well organized. It is something I would gladly and willing order again. Great way to get some different biscuits for breakfast, brunch and or lunch. Especially when you want a day home and not cook.

OVERALL The Biscuit Bar is a Texas-based chain that I've waited forever to try. It's a fun place to try classic concepts in a new way! Plus they offer adult beverages. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4 PARKING Ample free parking is available all along the plaza. Some takeout spots are clearly labeled. LOCATION/AMBIANCE This restaurant along with several others is located in a really nice plaza called Allen Ridge. There is an area behind the plaza with a large pond. There are Adirondack chairs and others for lounging with friends. Perfect on a summer night, I bet. The restaurant itself features a large bar area. Several different sizes and heights of tables. Walk in through the front door. Head to the right to the large menu. There are handheld menus at the register if you don't want to stand staring at the large one. Order and pay at the register. They'll hand you a tall metal table number where you'll take to the table of your choice. Of course, they'll bring your food out to you. THE GRUB + Monte Cristo--an interesting take on this classic sandwich. They did not skimp in the meat. + Orange juice--chilled & served in a mason jar. Had to remind an employee to fetch it for me. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB I don't recall a kid's menu, but I didn't ask about it either without my kids in tow. :( SERVICE The food takes a while to come out, but the service was polite and mostly efficient. MY FAVORITE PART... All the flavors meshing together from the Monte Cristo. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... I didn't have space in my belly to try more!

On our way to Dallas this morning with all the Grandkids in tow. No time to make breakfast so Biscuit Bar to the rescue !! Can't remember all we ordered but between eight of us I think we got one of everything. We ordered online for pickup and the food was hot, ready and packed well for eating on the road. Thanks again for being there when we needed you.

Service was monotone. Cashier looked at me like a robot and waited for me to tell her what I wanted instead of saying hello what can I get for you. Ordered the Montecristo and a biscuit with grape jelly. The ham biscuit was ok. Not impressed. The biscuit with the jelly package was fridge cold! The OJ, is a cheap one, tasted like sunny D. They could use a fresh OJ machine.

Kinda disappointed... service was not great. Nobody was working the bar and the one that was really didn't know what went into what and wasn't stationed at the bar so we had to walk over to the counter go get someone to the bar. Definitely not the manager I think his name was Mike, that we are use too. Food was good. Just been a while and was disappointed. Did enjoy our visit with friends.

No what I was expecting when I think of a biscuit but it was good. I had the Monti Cristo and it was very good. My husband had the Hoss and he said it was good but small. The place was dirty . The tables , the floors and bathrooms. It was 3:45 pm so maybe they had a big rush but I would think they could have cleaned up after their rush. The setting in the shopping center is a good vibe !

Great chain from DFW that seems to be relatively new in Abilene. Near ACU with several other new restaurants/bars/coffee shops in a nice new development with a big parking lot, a man-made pond behind everything and a kids play area. The Biscuit Bar was great for us as a family with three small kids. It's nice but without any concern for the kids breaking anything or disturbing someone else's meal, the choices are easy and all delicious breakfast foods and you order and then sit down and wait for your food. Definitely recommend for good food and a good family breakfast.

The B Bar Griddle... off the 'secret' menu. It's like a monte cristo with sausage..

Amazing service and totally delicious food! Anything breakfast is good. And right on a lake?! Heck yeah.

Revolver Blood & Honey Beer + B-Bar Burger + Fully Loaded Tots = good stuff

I really like the location in Fort Worth so I was glad to see they have one here in Abilene. Great venue and outdoor patio area (when it's not too hot). They have Revolver Blood and Honey beer on tap and that's always a good start. I am a big burger guy, and this was my first venture into a biscuit burger- the B-Bar Burger. It was excellent and the beef, cheese, pickles, and Dijon complemented each other very nicely. It looked small but packed a big punch, but I still wish it were a bit bigger. The loaded style tots were not "loaded" with bacon though and were served a little lukewarm-ish. Friendly servers, clean, chill environment. I'll be back...

Located on the second story of a beautiful building in downtown Abilene sits Grain Theory, a brewpub and coffee shop towering over the city. It is a mixed indoor-outdoor space with plenty of shaded outdoor and cooled indoor seating. Looking at their tap list, my girlfriend and I were impressed by their unique beers to try. I started with the Strawberry Peach Tonic (Fruited Hard Seltzer) and she had a Bella Rose (Rosé IPA). Both were served in cool glasses, with mine being tall and skinny and hers being almost like a wine glass. Shocking to nobody, mine was quite fruity while her Rosé IPA was hoppy with an underlying rosé flavor. Next, I ordered their Oktoberfest (German Märzen) and she had their Season's End (Belgian Dubbel). She described her drink as tasting like a Biscoff cookie. My Oktoberfest was quite malty, and I was a big fan. To close, we both ordered their Luscent (Belgian Table Beer) because small beers are back in fashion and I wanted to try it. It was obviously very light but still had a good flavor that was very bready. Nice and easy to close out our drinks with. They also have food and coffee that we didn't try, but the food looked sensational from what we saw others eating. They also have plenty of board games and card games to play while you're at the brewery and many beers available to take to-go. My only minor complaint is the lack of TVs in the brewery. Maybe it's a purposeful decision, but Texas Tech was playing football, and it would be a great place to watch the game. The bartenders are very friendly and willing to let you try and sample as many beers as you need to make your decision. Grain Theory feels like the kind of place every small Texas city wishes it had. I am very excited to come back here and try more beers, especially with how excellent the space is. RIYL: Cool-shaped beer glasses or a rooftop bar

We also had the Wayfinder beer and a double express (yes, I had both). The fries were perfectly balanced with a touch of heat and a hint of blue cheese flavor. With the Wayfinder Pilsner, it was AMAZING! The bratwurst was traditional in its meat, with sweetness added to the onions. Mustard was mild but added the right amount of flavor. Altogether, I would eat here once a week if I lived in the community. Delicious and highly recommended!

The queso is good. We both ordered 2 meat plates. Overall it was ok. The brisket was a little tough. The macaroni salad is very garlicky and needed something creamy added. The cornbread was dry. The potato salad is very whipped with no chunks and not much flavor. Be aware that the pinto beans are spicy full of black pepper. Some people may like that. Also the sauce is a little spicy but tasted pretty good. Fried okra was good. The banana pudding was ok at a fair price. The peach cobbler also was ok and fair priced. We both drank water. So two plates, two small desserts, and an appetizer plus the tip was about $70. We've paid more for less food. It was a good enough place to stop for bbq on a road trip. But nothing really stood out as the best we ever had.
