It was right at that level. Service- Two or three stars. Mediocre. I've been here once before, btw, and that experience was probably an overall 3-star. This time was right before a show at the convention center next door. You'd think that maybe the restaurant would have been prepared for a crowd? Apparently not, since our food was slow to come (the table next to us had both of their steaks comp'ed due to slow service and not being cooked as asked). I went to pick it up and the bartender helped me out. He was very congenial and helpful. What I want to talk about though, was our food order. We got the Popper Burger and a regular Cheeseburger, both with fries. We also got an order of the fried okra (appetizer menu). The okra was perfect. Nice and crispy and hot right out of the fryer. The burgers were also very good. I commented to my wife several times that my cheeseburger was VERY good. I also enjoyed the fries. She also really liked her Popper burger. My sister & I shown up around 4:05pm on Saturday, March 21st. There were two booths open. One still had stuff on it so we sat at what looked like the clean table. No, we heard them being dropped in the fryer. Then, when receiving our pickles, she said that the boy was cutting pickles when we came in and so they weren't read.... I say bolony. I don't believe either thing she said. The water was gross, unsure if the glasses were dirty but I had stuff floating in mine. It actually tasted like it had another soda in it. My sister's was awful too. She went next door and bought 2 bottles of water. I told Carson about the water. She didn't offer anything else to drink or take our glasses away. I would suggest this restaurant but what I wouldn't suggest is eating here before you go shopping or any other function. Make this your last stop and head home for that nap!
