Burger and fries
Desireah R.

We were dropping my daughter off at ACU and was looking for somewhere to eat. After searching Yelp we decided on this place. The food is great; hot and fresh!! The burger was well seasoned and juicy! The fries were fresh and equally delicious. Everyone who works there was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was very spacious and clean (they even bus your tables for you). The only surprise was the charge for grilled onions that I added to my burger. I would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone looking for a fresh, filling meal in a great environment.

Pretty good burgers. I got the rockin roller burger. I usually don't get burgers with onions. However, the lady said these were shaved very thin and fried crispy. She was correct. They were very good on the burger. Each sliver of onion was battered and fried like an onion ring. Bacon was hanging out of the burger, which is just what I like to see. My Burger came with nasty sauce, which is apparently their famous house sauce. It's rather unique and good. When ordering the fries both my wife and I got a side of fries. I did not know that the fries were gonna be the size of a boat. One side of fries would've been good for both of us. My wife got the southern fried beauty, which is a fried chicken breast on a bun with bacon, cheese and sauce. The dining room was a little dark, I would have preferred to have more light, the vibe was mixed, an hip burger joint with intimate mood lighting???? Hey the burgers were great though. Put a candle on the table change the music from hard rock to classical violin, and voilà. Or keep it the same and put some lights in there. People working there are extremely helpful and very nice. Soda fountain to self serve, no Dr Pepper zero, but there are diet drinks. Restaurant nice and clean, bathrooms clean. Worth coming back.

Stopped by last week on my way to Colorado and had their Johnny Popper burger and Johnny fries. It was one of the best burgers I've had. I'm serious. The staff was very friendly and helpful ordering in a new place. The place is back in the corner of a strip center so it's easy to miss but you won't want to. I have several locally owned places scattered around that I try to hit anytime I'm passing through and the Rockin Rollerz Craft Burger is on the list.

Amazing meal! I would absolutely come here again. I ordered the Nashville chicken. It is a special and I added grilled onions. The flavor of the chicken, heat, and sauce was amazing. It would have been great on its own, but I added the perfect grilled onions and it was divine. I also ordered the Jonny fries that had fries, spicy ranch, some kind of green chili (very mild) and onion strings. It was also delicious. Order at the counter and seat yourself here. The cashier and everyone who worked here were very nice and helpful.

Well, I wanted to say the first time I've been toAbilene Texas and the first thing I said I want to go to Rockin Rollerz craft burgers so we did and My the hamburgers are outstanding and the chicken sandwiches are great. My two grandchildren had hamburgers and milkshakes, everything is so big and delicious. The people there are just so kind and the place is super clean and I'm sure you will enjoy it when you go there

Just a random find but oh man. What a find. Great place. Great service and amazing food. The burger was on point and the buns were soft and buttery. Everything about this place screams come back. I was amazed by how good everything was. The only negative thing I can say is that this place is in Abilene, too far from home. Lol.

Absolutely some of the best BBQ I've had in ages - and I'm a bbq snob from Kansas City!…read more We had the sampler (brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken, and one each of the mild and spicy sausages). I fully expected that one or two of the meats would be good and the rest just passable. I was wrong. Every single bite was spectacular. We also had the brisket and queso chips and pig candy - both were really tasty; the chips especially were very fresh and sprinkled with just a touch of bbq rub. We arrived a few minutes before they opened on a warm Saturday and the wait was about 75 minutes or so. Definitely worth standing in line for. There's ample outdoor (but covered) seating and plenty of good music playing, plus cornhole games if you're feeling competitive. Jays will be our go-to for BBQ the next time we're in Abilene! PS - if it's still available when you go, be sure to try the cherry chipotle sauce - it's amazing!

They do have restrooms so that's nice. The line gets long and they are slow in taking orders and getting the food out. We arrived around 11:15 on a Friday and the line was already long so we decided we would order to go as we need to get to Lubbock before 3:00pm. We ordered the Texas Trinity to go. This place has charm and lots of stuff to look at while waiting in the long slow line. You can go up and order beer to drink in line but my thought is that the beer is over price. Some places have free beer or free water while you wait outside in the Texas heat, not here. So the food we got made it all the way back to eat in Houston on Sunday when we got back. The true test of good BBQ is how it taste when you reheat it, all the food was good but the brisket was a bit dry 8/10, the sausage was nice 9/10 and the pork rib was good 9/10. I recommend you try Jays BBQ when in the city of Abilene, Texas

Located on the second story of a beautiful building in downtown Abilene sits Grain Theory, a brewpub and coffee shop towering over the city. It is a mixed indoor-outdoor space with plenty of shaded outdoor and cooled indoor seating. Looking at their tap list, my girlfriend and I were impressed by their unique beers to try. I started with the Strawberry Peach Tonic (Fruited Hard Seltzer) and she had a Bella Rose (Rosé IPA). Both were served in cool glasses, with mine being tall and skinny and hers being almost like a wine glass. Shocking to nobody, mine was quite fruity while her Rosé IPA was hoppy with an underlying rosé flavor. Next, I ordered their Oktoberfest (German Märzen) and she had their Season's End (Belgian Dubbel). She described her drink as tasting like a Biscoff cookie. My Oktoberfest was quite malty, and I was a big fan. To close, we both ordered their Luscent (Belgian Table Beer) because small beers are back in fashion and I wanted to try it. It was obviously very light but still had a good flavor that was very bready. Nice and easy to close out our drinks with. They also have food and coffee that we didn't try, but the food looked sensational from what we saw others eating. They also have plenty of board games and card games to play while you're at the brewery and many beers available to take to-go. My only minor complaint is the lack of TVs in the brewery. Maybe it's a purposeful decision, but Texas Tech was playing football, and it would be a great place to watch the game. The bartenders are very friendly and willing to let you try and sample as many beers as you need to make your decision. Grain Theory feels like the kind of place every small Texas city wishes it had. I am very excited to come back here and try more beers, especially with how excellent the space is. RIYL: Cool-shaped beer glasses or a rooftop bar

We also had the Wayfinder beer and a double express (yes, I had both). The fries were perfectly balanced with a touch of heat and a hint of blue cheese flavor. With the Wayfinder Pilsner, it was AMAZING! The bratwurst was traditional in its meat, with sweetness added to the onions. Mustard was mild but added the right amount of flavor. Altogether, I would eat here once a week if I lived in the community. Delicious and highly recommended!
