I don't recall the other entree we ordered, but it was more of a stir fry type of meal, and the vegetables were notably colorless...not sure why that would be. The egg rolls were very greasy. We won't be back so I guess we'll just save our Thai urges for when we are back in DFW. One last note, the woman who seems to run the place was very friendly and personable, so maybe that's what it's all about in Abilene. I feel bad making this review, she was so nice. Instead of tiny chunks of crab meat, it had chunks of cauliflower. My husband and I felt deceived when we thought we were about to bite into a delicious chunk of crab only to bite into a firm piece of cauliflower. We don't remember cauliflower being in the dip last year. It changed the flavor profile of the dip. We didn't get any bites of crab in the dip. We weren't about to complain since it was being comped. The service DISAPPOINTING. Our server pretty much gave up even trying to provide a pleasant experience once the missing appetizer was mentioned. The manager did come over and apologize and even offered to comp the appetizer. We didn't see much of our server after that. We had to flag her down to get her attention for a drink refill. Once we were finished with our meals, we couldn't locate our server. After seeing us looking defeated and frustrated, the bartender came over to check on us. We explained that we just wanted to pay for our food and leave. She apologized and went to get our check. The manager made her way over and apologized again. She even offered to send us with a complimentary dessert to go to make up for the terrible experience. I really wish that we had passed on the dessert because our server wasn't around to bring it out to us. It was like she was intentionally avoiding us. We were in no way rude to her. I'm baffled by her behavior. You would think that after an honest mistake was made she would do her best to make the rest of our experience better. The manager ended up checking on us yet again after noticing that we were still there... waiting for our beignets. She apologized again and made sure that our beignets were brought out to us shortly after that. Overall experience DISAPPOINTING!!! I was tempted to give this place only one star due to the poor service, but to be fair, the food is good and the manager did do her best to make it right. I respect her efforts. Unfortunately, we will not be giving this place a third chance.
