You can easily make them in your own kitchen using the recipe cards provided in their store. I love that they support local farmers by using locally grown produce. I love the ladies who work there! Today was my first time at Cordelle's. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I had the chicken salad lunch, black currant iced tea, and the maple pecan ice cream. I ended up buying some of the loose leaf black currant tea to take home. I love acidic salad and tangy chicken salad, which is what I got. A great little shop. I'm not big into specialty spices, oils, and vinegars, but this place has a small bakery that I like to pick up dessert at. The pecan cinnamon rolls were wonderful and the strawberry scones were really good. They do a daily lunch that I haven't tried yet, but I will. Come try them. read more

Popped in here for a late lunch on our trip through Texas. Customer service was excellent and our salads were so delicious. The dressings were sweet, light and refreshing. I'm in town for work and had to depend on yelp and found Cordell's. It's in a small shopping strip with other casual eateries and is pretty easy to find. Upon entering, I was greeted by two sweet ladies who were very informative of the offerings they have. You can tell they know their customers since they said they haven't seen me around town. They sell dressings, oils, and a bunch of other stuff but also serve lunch. I ordered a salad with tenderloin pieces and it was so fresh and delicious. They have the best selection of spices. I've been able to give in and try cooking cuisine from around the world because they carry the spices I need. They also have delicious doughs and breads delivered in, as well as artisan cheeses. The olive oil and vinegar sections are also really diverse and delicious. I am in love with all the different flavored oils at Cordell`s. My pantry is becoming full of Cordell's oils! I also love the owners. They are so helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I've gotten some really good recipes too. Oh and if they are out of an oil they will call you as soon as they get it in and have it ready for you to pick up! I loved Cordell's food! I had the chicken salad sandwich and the sweet black currant tea, and my husband had the grilled cheese and tomato soup all of which were very tasty! They have a half store/half dine-in area and sell various spices, balsamic vinegars, and olive oils that are made by them. They also sell other products from local businesses. Cordell's is the bomb! Their Lunches are wonderful and oh, so tasty. I love their salads, their bread is so good, and I bake bread all the time, so I'm picky. Jason and Joy are so nice, and are very responsive to requests of what to have in their store. I particularly love the Wiseman House chocolates. My only complaint is that they are located so far away from where I work that it is hard for me to get there at lunch time. Once again, I just enjoyed a delicious, incredibly healthy meal here at a venue that is definitely one of my favorites of all time. I finally got to try their blueberry waffles today, and they were definitely worth the wait. I also had to replenish my stock of mild olive oil. Thank goodness, I still have plenty of their cranberry-pear vinegar. My Mom and I take a tablespoon of the olive oil and a tablespoon of the vinegar one time in the morning and one time in the evening. We have actually lost quite a bit of weight by doing so, as well as lessened joint pain. This is such a special business with amazing products!!!! read more

Cordell's is a lovely shop that specializes in vinegars & oils, complete with a comprehensive pairing chart! They also sell honey, jams, coffee, tea, & various other foodie goodies. There is an impressive "spice room" in the back, with hard to find products such as lavender, as well as interesting spice rubs, like their garlicky "pitmaster BBQ" rub, that includes coffee grounds! They often have a nice selection of cheeses, & you can order fresh pizza dough & bread. I can vouch for their sourdough wheat ;) They are very helpful and knowledgeable here! read more

This is a fun little speciality shop that sells spices, olive oils, vinegars, and a few other items. While the selection is not vast, they do carry some very hard to find items that I've been wanting. For example, they sell a muffuletta topping that is identical to the giardiniera topping that is commonly found in Chicago--a topping made of olives, peppers, celery, cauliflower, and some other ingredients. We sampled all of the vinegars and oils and enjoyed most of them. We elected to buy a bottle of the Sicilian Lemon vinegar that goes wonderfully with seafood. The items can be a bit pricey, but if I were to order some of the speciality goods online and pay for shipping, I would probably spend just as much and have to wait several days for my purchases. They have a restaurant opening soon (or maybe it's open now) and I'm exited to try their food. read more

Wonderful customer service! My husband ordered the grilled cheese with the tomato soup and it hit the spot. I order the chicken salad sandwich (had Granny Smith apples) and loved it! Perfect crisp and freshness to it. I never thought I'd find a place like this in Abilene! Reminds me of farm to fork (very CA)! We love how they have different specials daily.
